I am trying to keep up with the Master... Mr. Murphy
Pictures were from Sept 21
Yesterday was a GREAT Day....
Did some morning work stuff on my way down to Anaheim. Stopped at my framers to frame up some Disney art work I bought at the Disneyana Event.
Arrived at Disneyland around 12 and had lunch at the rainforest cafe. I had a 10 dollar gift certificate to burn. Had Chowder and an Oriental Salad. Good value and I couldn't finish it all.
Went into California Adventure to see the Animation Building and if there was anything new. Headed into WWTBAM-PI and got into the Hot Seat on the second show by a lucky guess. Who knew Robert Watson was the "Father of Behavioural Psychology"?
I got my 32,000 point Polo shirt with the help of the audience. and missed the 128,000 question. It was a toss up between alpabetical versus date of induction on how the flags at the united nations are arranged. My phone a complete stranger sounded pretty sure it was date of admission. Thinking back, a lot of the countries were probably admitted the day the UN was created.... It's alphabetical. Oh well, still got the shirt. Now I have one from WDW and one from California Adventure.
The Tower of Terror is rising from the ground.

Headed over to Disneyland to really put the new camera to the test.
Took the obligatory picture of the Partners with the fill in flash. that is why the statue looks grayer.
<img width="600" src="http://www.arrhythmiaconsultants.com/images/disneyland/partners.jpg">
The Parade of Stars was another good subject.
<img width="600" src="http://www.arrhythmiaconsultants.com/images/disneyland/tarzan.jpg">
That picture is for MaryJo and Lesley. They are always drooling over Tarzan!!!!
<img width="600" src="http://www.arrhythmiaconsultants.com/images/disneyland/Fab5.jpg">
Nice picture of the the gang with the Matterhorn in the background.
<img width="600" src="http://www.arrhythmiaconsultants.com/images/disneyland/matterhornrepair.jpg">
The Matterhorn was being repaired and you could see where they cut into the mountain.
<img width="600" src="http://www.arrhythmiaconsultants.com/images/disneyland/twain.jpg">
The Mark Twain with Big Thunder Mountain in the background.
<img width="600" src="http://www.arrhythmiaconsultants.com/images/disneyland/monorail.jpg">
I always like to get two icons in the same shot!!!
It was starting to get dark which meant I could start experimenting with my Flash!!!
<img width="600" src="http://www.arrhythmiaconsultants.com/images/disneyland/matterhornnight.jpg">
No flash here, just a picture of the Matterhron lit up at night.
<img width="600" src="http://www.arrhythmiaconsultants.com/images/disneyland/topiary.jpg">
It's A Small World topiary done with a fill in flash.
<img width="600" src="http://www.arrhythmiaconsultants.com/images/disneyland/dumbo.jpg">
This has a delayed flash so the slight blur gives it a sense of motion. I have no idea who those people are.
. It took me about 10 shots to get this one right. Thank goodness for digital cameras.!!!!
<img width="600" src="http://www.arrhythmiaconsultants.com/images/disneyland/BTMR1.jpg">
Here is a day shot of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. I love getting that rock formation in my pictures.
<img width="600" src="http://www.arrhythmiaconsultants.com/images/disneyland/BTMRnight.jpg">
This was another tough shot to do and it took me several to get it right. This is a timed late flash. If you take the flash right away, there is not enough open shutter time to pick up the rock formation in the background. That is why the smokestack has a little transparency to it and it looks a little like a ghost image just in that spot.
Taking pictures of Fantasmic is a real challenge without a tripod. The shutter speed is kind of slow and that creates blur if the characters or my hands are shaking. The one shot of Sorcerer Mickey was with a 300 mm lens. This lens was especially prone to shaking since the shutter speed was about 1/3 of a second. I was having a real difficult time until I upped my ISO to 1000. Even still, Mickey was blurry most of the time. The pictures of the MArk Twain and the Dragon where taken with a slightly faster lens and I was closer to the subjects.
<img width="600" src="http://www.arrhythmiaconsultants.com/images/disneyland/msorcerer.jpg">
<img width="600" src="http://www.arrhythmiaconsultants.com/images/disneyland/dragon.jpg">
<img width="600" src="http://www.arrhythmiaconsultants.com/images/disneyland/twainfinale.jpg">
So the park was closing. On my way out I took another picture of the Partners with the castle illuminated.
<img width="600" src="http://www.arrhythmiaconsultants.com/images/disneyland/partnersnight.jpg">
And I just love the windows at the emporium with Lilo and Stitch.
