Im sure these arent the only questions but its a start.....
1. Where should i buy? I really like BWV and SSR...im leaning towards SSR because i like the look, DDT, golf is right there...but i like the Boardwalk being right by everything.....
2. what are the current incentives for SSR ?
3. Shouldnt i just go through resale (timeshare store) to buy a resale if i can buy it for 80 something a point....
4.how successful are people getting ressies for HHI and VB or any other non home resort at the 7 month window? I want to buy at WDW but want to travel to HHI when possible...
5. if we typically travel first week of june what month should i get as my use year?
6. looking at buying 160 points based on that is what i would need to stay at SSR sunday -Thursday in June in a 2 bedroom...is that a decent strategy and maybe add on later
7. can you trade with another member for their points...example..if i want to stay at BWV and someone else wants to stay at SSR can we trade points from our home resort

1. Buy where you won't mind staying the most. If you couldn't get anything but your home resort, would that be okay?

3. Resales can be cheaper, but it will take longer to close. If the time it takes isn't a problem, go resale - unless you want AKV then there is no benefit to resale. They are going for the same price.

4. If you want HHI, buy a small HHI contract. If you want summer time at HHI, home resort advantage is important.

5. When you buy resale, you don't really get to choose. It comes with the purchase.

6. First 10 days in June are fewer points than the rest of the month. Check the point charts at the top of the page. They don't usually change much.

7. If you can find someone who would do that. You can get a once a year transfer in or out from another member.

1. If you like both SSR and BWV, consider that the SSR term is until 2054 - BWV is 2042.

2. Current incentives are: Buy 225 points and get $10 off a point, 160 Developer points, and if you have a Disney Visa (and have had it before 9/1/07), you can get $500 reward dollars when you charge the deposit. The deposit is for 6 months 0% interest.

3. Yes you can go through resale. The process will take you approx 3 months to complete and you cannot make any reservations until your in the system. Buying direct through Disney, you can make reservations immediately.

4. Depends on the time of year but many have posted not having issues booking at the 7 month mark. I believe HHI is one of those resorts.

5. April should be your use year - there is no May UY according to Disney. If you are interested in SSR, they April UY is almost sold out. I bought 2 weeks ago and they had only 4400 points left for the April UY.

6. 160 points is a good starting point.

It is very difficult to book a 1 bedroom or a studio at HHI in the summer months if you have to use the 7 month window. 2 bedrooms are a little easier, but not much.

Yes, but it will be very hard to find such a person. Since SSR is the largest WDW DVC resort, it is the easiest to book at 7 months. So there is little (if any) incentive for a BWV owner to trade reservations with an SSR owner.

I have to urge you to go stay at the BWV if you haven't. For me, one stay and that's all I needed to be absolutely sure that's what I wanted. I don't care about the extra years on SSR contract compared to the location of the BWV. Also consider the Beach Club. It's a few steps closer to Epcot and has a great pool. We decided BWV because we wanted to use the Grand Villa. I'm sure SSR is great too, but I'm also sure I'll never experience it. We're addicted to BWV!

if SSR is somewhat easier to book at 7 months maybe i should buy at BWV...i know people always say make your home resort the one you want to stay
