Did anyone notice the weird "dots" that come on after the end of some of the extra features on the DVD? Spooky Lost music plays and then a glowing dot comes onto the screen, I noticed one after Matthew Fox's art and several that appeared after the Museum of Television and Radio scene. When I clicked on them at first, nothing happened, the second time I tried it popped out my DVD!:confused3
I don't have my DVD's yet :( but they had those dots after the spooky music on the oceanic website and it showed a clip when you clicked on it.

WOW! i cannot wait hunt out those little things! picking ours up today!
Thanks for posting the price at TARGET! i ran and called our target and they do have it at the same price!! woo-hoo! soo much cheaper than Best Buy!

If it's any consolation Bengalbelle, I probably won't have the DVDs until Christmas. We're putting a lot of DVDS on our list this year: Lost, Cinderella, Buffy season 7...

Amy :)

I'm probably going to brave the traffic and try to get them today. We never buy DVD's except for Disney/kids DVD's (we only have 3 non-kid DVD's Legally Blonde, Sopranos and POTC) but I've wanted these since they announced they were coming out.
I thought about buying them now to get the sale price and having DH wrap them up for Christmas, but I wouldn't have the self control not to watch while they're sitting around tempting me.

I'm going to have to rent Buffy. I've never seen the show but everybody raves about it.

Special: Destination Lost
Airdate: September 21, 2005 at 8 p.m.

09/08 - ABC once again invites new and avid "Lost" viewers to take another look at one of the most talked about shows. "Destination Lost" will explore the series in a way that will bring new viewers up to date -- but which current viewers will also find illuminating - in anticipation of the series' second season premiere. From the back stories of some of the most interesting characters on television to the mysteries of the island, "Destination Lost" will provide an insightful glimpse into the lives of some of the survivors of the doomed Oceanic Airlines flight 815. Narrated in a linear fashion and culminating from the pieces of the back stories told over multiple episodes in the series, "Destination Lost" focuses on the flashbacks of a core of characters -- illustrating who they were and what they were doing before the crash, and how the island has changed their lives, for better or worse. In addition, the island itself will be explored - culled from events that have taken place - which may reveal some of its secrets that might have been missed upon first viewing. Source: ABC

Episode 2.01: Man of Science, Man of Faith
Airdate: September 21, 2005

09/08 - As the second season opens, one of the castaways enters the hatch and discovers its contents. Also, a survivor of the attack on the raft makes an appearance. As does Jack's wife, Sarah (Julie Bowen), in a flashback. Meanwhile, Shannon runs into a familiar fave in the jungle. Shephard: John Terry. Desmond: Henry Ian Cusack. Source: TV Guide Online

09/12 - Jolene Blalock appears in Episode Two as a figure in Sawyer's past. Source: Los Angeles Times
09/12 - With the abduction of Walt fresh on their minds and their raft destroyed, Michael, Sawyer and Jin fight for their lives and discover a new predator in the roiling ocean. Meanwhile on land, Locke must descend into the hatch when one castaway goes missing inside. Jolene Blalock (“ Enterprise”) guest stars. Source: ABC

09/08 - Jolene Blalock (T'Pol from Star Trek:Enterprise ) will be seen in the second episode of ABC's Lost on September 28. Source: StarTrek.com

09/13 - This thing in the Hatch can be called by two different words: One is three letters and starts and ends with two letters that are right next to each other in the alphabet. The other is seven letters long and starts and ends with the same letter. Source: Kristin on E!Online
09/12 - More on the hatch: The word that begins and ends with the same letter is not a plural, and it is not SOULS or WINDOW. Here's another hint: One of the castaways has already seen this thing before. The others might have as well, but I know for sure that one of them, one of the MAAAAIIIIN ones, has seen it before. Jack's dad is not in the hatch, at least, not that I know of. Someone does see something in the jungle, and we might not see it again for a while. Source: Kristin on E!Online
09/12 - Another tip on the hatch: Some of you were there this morning. Source: Kristin on E!Online

Went to Best Buy and got my copy with the bonus disc which we watched some of tonight. Not a whole lot of stuff on there, it has LOST: The Journey (which aired on tv, I don't remember when...) and the trailers for the first two seasons. It also has a brief flashbacks segment, and two on location segments, which we haven't watched yet. Total time of the disc is aprox 56 minutes. Can't wait to watch them all over again, I have seen every episode but my husband hasn't (he's seen episodes here and there that give things away)- I can't tell him enough how much more exciting it is to see it in the right order, it sure keeps you on your toes!

Hi everyone, I've been out of the Lost discussions for a while (I just can't get excited until actual viewing is within reach). Anyway, I read those Kristin spoilers too, but don't put much stock in them. Isn't she full of crap at least 50% of the time?

Jolene Blaylock is stunning. I wonder if she and Sawyer will have some fiery scenes. Unless of course, she plays his sister or something. EWWW Shannon and Boone flashbacks...

I got my DVD at Costco this past weekend but was at my Dsis's house in VA and couldn't watch it. I was watching the Dnieces for her while she was at WDW. I am planning on watching it this coming weekend. Can't wait for next week, I have my evening all planned out. Good dinner, pitcher of rita's in my pj's. :goodvibes

Deadend end

What do you think?

I think that's a great guess! I just hope they don't all "end" when they go down.

I assume that was supposed to be "a familiar face"?

As if I didn't already need an excuse to watch.

It's a lavatory?!

Ok, first check out this link to MSNBC to see what the second link I'm going to give you is. If the second link it legit, it is basically a blow-by-blow of the first episode, by someone who claims to have been at the official showing. I've read it and it is one of two things: 1. Completely legit account from a blabbermouth (it really SOUNDS like an ep JJ & Damon could come up with) or 2. A network plant, providing false info created on purpose (again, it really sounds like an ep JJ & Damone could come up with). You decide. Either way, don't read it if you don't want to take the chance that this is real, and you will know it all in advance!

ETA: 2nd link is not working, hmmmm. I will just cut and paste and you will have to do the same.

One thing to note, "Weiss" was Greg Grunberg's character's name on Alias. He was also the pilot on Lost, and on Felicity and a good friend of JJ's. So, is this Weiss person a plant, with a name that is a nod to true fans? Or just a big fan who chose that name himself?

I'm so tempted to go read it but on the other hand, I really want to enjoy the anticipation of the first episode. :ssst: Oh what to do???

Then I would leave it alone, if I were you. I am the kind of person who reads the endings of books first! I only like a surprise when I don't know it's coming--the surprise has to surprise me, so to speak. The thread is very detailed, especially when others who were at the premiere come on there and corroborate what he saw, and add details he referred to but didn't really cover, etc. There will be no surprises left if you read it, seriously, none at all.

I think it would be hilarious if they show a completely different ep than what they showed at the premiere BUT I have no doubt at all that those people saw what they did. I just can't see them going to the expense of that kind of a mind game, to film two eps, and also it sets a precedent. There will always be top-secret things going on, they can't produce a fake episode for each of them!
