That I get, and that's what I first thought, but it seemed more like he was there to visit the gravesite as he said pretty soon after he arrived something like "Should we go see him now?" I just don't know why he'd want to go visit a fake gravesite if Jin wasn't in it, just for appearances sake.

Of course, I also thought, my husband wouldn't go next door to see a friend's baby on his own, let alone fly to Korea! So there must be more to it than that.

I wrote this in the other Lost thread and figured I'd put it here also.

I don't think Jin is dead--Hurley said "are we going to see Jin" not going to visit the grave or going to the cemetary as people visiting the deceased would say--I wonder if there may be some type of camera hidden in the headstone that can relay video to the island ??? We know that Ben is capable of getting video to the island(remember watching news video of the crash with Patchy?)

Jack one time broke down and said "we left them,we have to go back"
so we can say that the losties are alive when they leave the island and Jacks problem with Aaron is probably that he had promised Claire he would come back for her and after getting off the island being told that they couldn't ever go back.

My feeling is that Claire isn't alive. I just don't see her giving Aaron to anyone for any reason. Unless maybe there was an imminent threat to him on the island, but then why wouldn't Kate (or Hurley, Jack, whoever) give up their spot to Claire to accompany her baby? I really think the only way she'd separate from Aaron is if she died or was in some way completely incapacitated.

Well, they do get free airfare afterall ,right??? And maybe it was the "anniversary" of something...like a year from when they got saved...or a year since the plane had crashed.
Maybe they are sad b/c he is stuck on the island and they don't know how to contact him.... yet they still have to keep up appearances as if Jin is dead?

Technically neither should be part of the "Oceanic 6" since neither were on the plane when it crashed.

I suppose Ben could've pretended to be someone else, but given the people after him I doubt he would want the publicity.

I guess it could be the anniversary of the crash. The baby would have been due around early July 2005, so I guess it could have been 2 months old when Hurley came to visit.

Perhaps the two dead would be Jin and Michael..both sacraficing themselves so that their children could get off the island...maybe then it will be Walt who gets off the island.

I'm not so sure Walt will get off. Remember he didn't want to leave the island. He seems to have powers that can bring him to the island; i.e., when he appeared to Shannon and then Locke just last season.

Also remember at the end of last season, and Jack went to someones funeral and he was the only one there although Kate said she knew about it?

Was it ever figured out who that was? One of Oceanic 6 or someone else?

We still don't know who it is, though I heard that we'd find out who it is by the end of the season.

It doesn't make sense to me that Michael would be the one to die. Harold is a regular part of the cast this season, if Michael were to die, why would he be a regular? He would just be a guest star. I may be thinking about this too much.

I agree. I don't think they'd make the huge dramatic act of reintroducing Micheal, and then just kill him off. Unless he dies in the process of saving someone else.

I'm having like an internal debate as to if I think Aaron is one of the 6 or not. Man, these producers are smart, they have us all debating and getting frusterated as to the contents of the show.

The Oceanic 6 are Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sayid, Sun, Jin. The Plus One is Aaron.

They never said all of the Oceanic 6 would be alive.

AmberDaClown is never off on her information.. Have you guys noted this? Unless I missed something everything she has said has happened exactly how she has said it.
It is so fun to speculate and guess and of course who know what is really right or not but AmberDaClown hasn't been wrong yet with anything she has posted.

She previously posted that as one of the surviving Oceanic 6 Jin will be killed at the hands of his DFIL when he is back from the island.

You know, I was thinking the same thing last night, but I was afraid to say anything. I think Jin stayed behind on the island for some reason, but he made sure Sun got off so she wouldn't die from the pregnancy. That would explain why the date on his tombstone is the date of the crash.....the Oceanic 6 are saying that they were the only ones to survive, so Sun had the crash date put on Jin's tombstone, even though Jin is still alive. (Or Jin may very well die on the island - or even on the freighter)

Maybe it happened before anybody knew thay had gotten off the island and became famous? Maybe Sun lied about when Jin died to protect her father?

Note sure if this has been mentioned before but.... I am thinking "Kate's" Aaron has Down Syndrome.... There's just something in those brief glimpses you get of his face in that flash forward with Kate. You nevert see his whole face or get a good look at him - but what from I saw - it really looks like they have a child with Down Syndrome playing him. Low set ears, that cute typical face structure etc. Anybody else see that or is it just me? If so - I wonder what this means... If it's Claire's Aaron - would they really go so far as to try and claim the Island masked this?!?!?! Or maybe it's Kate and Sawyer's baby and he's named after Claire's Aaron?
