Lost Season 4 *****SPOILER**** Thread!!

Yikes ~ I missed the first 15 minutes! Did anything happen that I should know?

Only that when Julliette first went to the island Ben gave her an house full stocked with food and her favorite music, etc. She was very surprised and replied "but I'll only be here 6 months". Nothing else I don't think

Who was the blonde girl who jumped off the ship in the coming attractions? Was it Claire?

I kept rewinding it. I'm not sure but she had a chain wrapped around her. I thought it was a baby at first.

I couldn't tell either. We do know that some of the people in the others camp get off the island--Hurley and Aaron do at least. It could be that Claire leaves too but they have to drop her for some reason. Jack could have played a part in that and it's why he doesn't want to see Aaron.

I'll put this on the spoiler board but it's really just a theroy I read somewhere and now can't remember where. Concerning the reason there are only the Oceanic six and not more. We already know that Hurley, Jack, Sayed, and Kate are four of the six. The one thing they all have in common that Michael, Sun and Jin also have in common is that they were away from the swan hatch when the implosion happened. As a result all the other survivors were exposed to massive amounts of electromagnatism. Maybe because of this they are to prone to the sickness (unstuck in time) to risk letting them go home. The ones mentione above were at the dock with the others or sailing around the island to meet up with Jacls group when Desmond turned the key.

I read that too. I think from a link at Dark UFO to another site.

Ok, this is just me going off on a random tangent, but The Black Rock is in the middle of the island, when we would expect it to be in the sea, and we saw on the news a few episodes back that the front of the plane (you can see the cockpit) was under water, when we know that was on the island, remember the first episode where the pilot ends up in the tree?

I wonder if this time travel/teleportation thing, whatever it is that was going on with Desmond could have any effect on objects as well......
Just a thought.........

I still LOVE Lost but I was a bit disappointed by last night.

It wasn't really that exciting and there wasn't too much new except the Hatch stuff which I didn't totally get; was he saving the people on the island from a potential future chemical attack or was the attack happening right then and he saved the day? :confused3

The biggest disappointment for me though, was the idea that Ben wanted Juliet for himself. For me, it was like they rewrote history. I just didn't buy it. And wasn't she suppose to have been there 3 years when the plane crashed? But last night they made it seem like Juliet had just gotten there and quickly fell for Goodwin and then Goodwin was killed (planned by Ben) by Anna Lucia. It didn't 'feel' like 3 years to me.

It just didn't sit well with me. Still can't wait for next week though! :thumbsup2

Does anyone have any guesses on who they are bringing back?? I'm going to say Michael/Walt. I hope and pray that Sawyer gets off the island

What is with Jack?? It's almost like Juliet has him under some kind of spell, where he just blindly goes along with whatever she says, trusting her! Juliet comes out of this new station after leaving jack and Kate in the jungle and says that it's ok, that Charlotte and Daniel "are on our side" and Jack basically says ok! Thank goodness Kate has some brains and went in to check out the new station!

And I know it's only been maybe 2 or 3 days in island time since the boat people arrived to "rescue" them, but why aren't the Oceanic folks getting anxious to get off the island? If it were me, I'd grab somebody's walkie-talkie and call that dang boat myself and tell them to start sending some helicopters!

Two thoughts.

1- They are only allowing 1 per family off the island. Would explain Aaron without Claire and Sun without Jin.

2- I think Jack's father is the spy on the ship.

Thought it was interesting that Ben told Lock he didn't know why Penny's father was so interested in the island. In one of Desmond's trips back in time - he was at an auction where Penny's dad bought the log book from the Black Rock.

Daniel tried to access the computer but it wasn't working. This caused the computer to start a countdown. If the countdown had reached zero the gas would have been released, but Daniel was able to stop it just before that point. My take on it was that they were trying to disable the system so that it couldn't be used by anyone, but time will tell. I still don't completely trust Charlotte, but I do like Daniel.

I think that the producers are trying to fit a lot of information into a short period of time. They know that we have much of the story of that time period so they only added bits and pieces to what we already know. We know that it's been 3 years, we know that all of these other events happened during that time, etc. It did feel a bit rushed, but it felt okay to me.

It definitely wasn't as good as last week.

I think Daniel did intend to inert the gas and saved the day. If they wanted to kill everyone on the island, they would have. They could have shot Kate for example instead of just knocking her out. I think Juliet realized that and that's why she didn't kill them. She also knows that Ben is capable of lying, killing (or having people killed), and manipulating people. I also think Jack knows more about Juliette than we've been told too.

I agree about the Juliette/Ben timeline. It wasn't clear how long the affair with Goodwin went on because she was on the island for three years and that was squeezed into a few minutes, but it's odd that Ben let it continue at all for as long as he did. Unless he knew that his time would come someday beginning with the plane crash and setting up Goodwin to be killed.

I think it's also strange that Juliette was willing to have an affair with a married man. She didn't seem that type up until now. I wonder if there was some important significance in having Goodwin married?

On another topic, I think we're getting a lot more clues than we realize too. The names of C.S. Lewis (for time moving at a different rate in another place like Narnia or, possibly, the island), Faraday (for electromagnetism), and Miles Straume (for maelstrom) are a few but there are probably others hidden in names, locations and other things.

Okay, did anyone else think that the arrival and departure of Goodwin's wife in the jungle was a little creepy? As in, smoke monster creepy? I mean, the whispering and then there she was. Then she disappeared just as quickly.

Speaking of Harper, I hate how they once again have added someone else that we are supposed to believe has been there since the beginning. Kinda like Nikki and Paulo. I wish they would stop that. I mean, where has she been all this time? Why haven't we seen or heard of her before?

I agree, there was a Psychiatrist at the Facility? When?:confused3

Well we know that there was a full community of Others, they just never had the time to introduce them all to us. I don't find it so unbelievable. Juliet was brought there to stop women from dying in pregnancy, gotta believe there was enough women there to make it important enough for her to go.

As for where Harper has been all this time - she's with Richard and the rest of the others (including some of the tailies) who left the "other community" at Ben's insistance to go to the temple or ruins at the end of last season. Finally, all this time as still only been 90 or so days.

I was going to post something that I read last night at another site, but I can't find it again. It was the producers speaking about how the "time travel" in The Constant worked. They confirmed that Desmond's brain arbitrarily traveled to another time when they went through the storm, and that he became Desmond in 1996 with flash forwards to 2004 that he didn't understand but that physically his body stayed in 2004. They also confirmed that the affect can be different (i.e. traveling anywhere from minutes to years away) for anyone exposed to radiation.

What I found interesting was that they explained that Desmond's return to 1996 and changing history (by seeing Penny and getting her phone number) would affect his life from 1996 through 2004. I was wondering if the change in history also would affect other people, but then I realized that it must. Before Desmond 96 went to talk with Daniel 96, Daniel had never met him. Therefore, the notation in Daniel's journal that Desmond would be his constant couldn't have been there before Desmond met him in his 2004 trip back in time. So it must be possible to change the present (which in this case was 2004) by doing something in the past (which was 1996). This could explain somehow how people come back to life.

Did anyone else read that interview? I'll post it if I can find it again.
