Lost Season 4 *****SPOILER**** Thread!!

DarkUfO has the audio podcast early for the episode that airs tonight.

The episode is Desmond-centric and deals with flash forwards (or flashes before your eyes) of Desmond in the army in 1994 to 2004 while he is on the freighter.

Time travel in Lost does NOT have paradox repercussions ala Heroes or Back to the Future.

Watch the episodes "Flashes before your eyes" again as Ms. Hawking explains to Desmond that the universe has ways of doing 'Course Corrections'. (The man with the red shoes was ALWAYS going to die an early death as was Charlie).

The also confirm that Ben and Aaron are not one of the Oceanic 6.

Next week's episode is called "The 'Other' Woman" and is Juliet-centric. You will learn in the first five minutes whether or not she is one of the Oceanic 6.

I agree. I never even saw it speculated that she'd be one of the six. I am wondering if she'll get off the island though and thinking probably not.

I don't think Sun's father has Jin killed. I think he's killed some other way...but for some reason that has to do with leaving the island.

Just made another post about this. I loved the scene between Desmond and Penny when they were on the phone. it was so touching. I loved they way they built up to it.

I'm so glad Desmond didn't die. It doesn't seem like he's going to but you never know. I thought someone posted that he was going to be one of the ones that dies. Now that he appears to be OK, wonder if he gets to go home then since we know Sayid goes home.

It was quite interesting to see that in 1996 Penny's father was bidding for the journal of the captain of the Black Rock (the ship in the jungle on the island).

It was also very interesting to see Daniel's note mentioning that "if this works, Desmond is my constant"

I think they made it clear that he was "fixed". When Penny asked where he had been he told her he had been on an island. She said I know about the island etc.... Prior to that he had no clue about any island, who Sayid was etc.

And I was left wondering too if Desmond was back to "normal".

I also caught the Black Rock thing, it totally went over my mom's head though. She says she doesn't like or watch Lost, but then she's always watches it when I have it on, and has a ton of questions.

So if Desmond can time travel......how did he meet up w/Jack many years ago? Do you remember how he met him at that arena, while Jack was running stairs. Desmond told him "see you in another life, brother".......when the heck was that then?????

He was "fixed" then and would have had memories of Charlie. He also knew that Charlie had talked to Penny since Charlie had given him the "not penny's boat" message on his hand before the little hobbit died.

Desmond couldn't time travel until he was affected by the electromagnetism of the hatch when it exploded. He met Jack when he was training for the boat race that brought him to the island in the first place. I think the "see you in another life brother" thing was just a "see you around" kind of thing...not anything more.

Desmond did meet up with Penny that night as well...as he was leaving the stadium. That would be about 3 years ago, so when Penny told him in last night's episode that she had been looking for him for three years that is what she meant. After their meeting at the stadium Desmond left to do the race and then was stranded on the island.
