Well, there are a lot of ways to "Let someone go".

My bet is that Juliette ends up on the island with the others. Next week looks pretty interesting.

A few thoughts on the episode . . .


Jacob: I don't know if anyone remembers the Jacob mention earlier, where in the context of conversation it sounded as if Jacob was "Him" . . . someone above Ben. Anyone catch the video that Carl was watching? One of the shots of the screen said something, "And God loves you as he loves Jacob."



I'm sure I have more . . I had a number of things running through my head last night.

It said "GOD loves you as He Loved Jacob". I'm thinking Jacob of the Old Testament here, not an actual live person.

That room also made me wonder what is in the other rooms. He was in room 23 (one of the numbers!) which leads us to believe there are at least that many different rooms. Are they all that video? Or are there different things going on in different rooms.

It sort of reminded me of A Clockwork Orange

But you know how the creators of Lost are - they are always placing Easter Eggs for us to look for - to me it was a blatant reference to this mysterious Jacob leader we haven't seen yet. Makes me wonder if this Jacob considers himself a religious leader and this is a cult.

I'm so sick of seeing Kate, Sawyer and Jack! I just want to see the old characters already, I miss them. This show has gone down hill for me, I only watch it out of habit now.

Here's a theory...

The guy from Mittelos Bioscience said that the slides of the uterus were from a 26 year old woman. This would be about 3 1/2 years ago so the woman would be about 30 now. Could this be Penny? She's about the right age and her father has plenty of money to fund research. (He owns Whitmore Labs.) He also could have had something to do with Desmond ending up on the island as a way to get him out of his daughter's life.

Does anyone know what day it is on the Island? Like, how many days have elapsed since the crash? Between 40 and 60, you think?

I want to say it's around day 60 give or take a few. Didn't "the tailes" arrive at the main camp around day 46-47? So I think we're looking at lat Nov-early Dec 2004. It's hard to keep track because they keep taking us back in time.

Oh, something else.....in the catch-up show prior to the new episode, the producers confirmed what we've been speculating here: Sun doesn't know for sure if her baby is Jin's or the bald guy's.

He also said that the images of the activities were cheesey, (probably because they were from the 70's when the Dharma initiative was conceived).


I liked the episode, especially when Sawyer said "I can't believe he fell for the wookie prisoner gag".

As soon as he showed the slides of the people--they looked computer generated didn't they?-- I knew he was with Dharma. The slides just did not look right and he didn't seem like he was on the up-and-up.

And we can always count on a good line from Sawyer. I still think my favorite is "what are you gonna do, splash me?"

Coming out of lurk mode again, can anyone refresh my memory as to when John ran into Nadia (sp)? They showed it in the recap and I've seen every episode but can't seem to recall that.

John was working as a home inspector at one time (while he was seeing Helen) and that's when he ran into Nadia.

The Mittelos part looks a little funky... like a fake word.

You can make a bunch of anagrams out of it but I thought it was funny that the ones that came to mind immediately were:

Also did you notice that the guy who was guarding the door to where Alex's boyfriend was being held was reading Stephen Hawking's A Brief History of Time?

And in the recap episode they showed Hurley and Sayid on the beach listening to the radio playing a Glenn Miller song and Hurley wondered where the radio station was. Sayid said it could be anywhere and Hurley said something that it could also be any TIME. Hmm......are they all living in some kind of time warp?

Well who knows with this show, it could have been sent/retreived from the future or something Maybe time stands still there? They are definately hinting at something to do with time though.

There are a lot of Biblical references in the show though, so I'd be willing to bet that they were drawing a parallel between Bible Jacob and Dharma Jacob (LOL,couldn't think of a better way to put it, LOL) I don't think it was a coincidence that they used the name Jacob.

And I didn't see exactly what it was, but there was another logo on the door to that building so I think we just "found" another "hatch" for Locke's map.

That hatch would not be on Locke's map because they are not on the same island. The map doesn't indicate that there is a seperate island at all. I wonder if the smaller one could be "invisible" to the bigger one. Like the little island is the main one and the bigger one is part of one of the experiments.

I don't think its even that late because it wasn't too long ago that Ben showed Jack the video of the Red Sox winning the World Series and that was the end of October 2004.

What I don't understand is this:
The Others are apparently getting food drops or supplies or something from someone. They have all of the "creature comforts," such as clothing, food, books, appliances, etc. so there must be someone on the outside, no? Plus, the world series video was fairly current. Even the food that Juilette brought Jack-- how would they have access to that kind of food? So why wouldn't Ben be able to get medical treatment for his tumor?

AND, why on earth were those men shooting at Sawyer and Kate? #1 they're on an island so how far could they get (not to mention, where could they possibly go except to the other island), #2 what would they gain by killing Kate and Sawyer? I guess I'm getting to where I am starting to say to myself "what's the POINT here?"

And has anyone else asked themselves "WHO IS CARL?"

What I was thinking is maybe time on the island moves a lot slower than in real life. So they could have gotten the Red Sox video still. Like if the island still thinks it's early dec of 04 but in real life it's Feb of 06 or even more into the future, videos of the Red Sox winning the world series in 04 could still be obtained....
