What if the x-ray is Locke's????

How would they have an x-ray of Locke? Why would they want Jack to save Locke? I think Locke is older than 40.

I don't think it's Locke's either. .. but this did remind me of something. Anyone else remember last season when Ben told Locke he was coming for him? What the heck happened to that?!

How or why does anything happen! LOL! Just a thought. My DH brought up how Henry wanted Locke to go back with him, so I thought maybe they were trying to save him. Dunno. Just an idea. I think Locke is older than 40, too.

I don't think it's Henry/Ben with the tumor either.

So...did Desmond want to fix Claire's tent because he *knew* that there would be lightning that would hit it. THat's why he built the lightning rod instead???

Skuttle I think it's like the Locke speech thing, he knew something it was going to happen.

:happytv: Mind if I join in? We are avid "Lost" watchers. Every Wednesday night it is pizza and lost night.

The pacemaker thing was so stupid, really dumb. My love for Lost is gone. I want more episodes with Sayid, Locke, Jin, Hurley, Sun in it, I'm growing so tired of Sawyer, Kate and Jack. I especially miss Sayid and Locke.

During this episode, both DH and I looked at eachother and said "these are getting to be just DUMB"...I'm losing interest fast and pretty sure that we won't want to watch the Feb episodes either. This is much like the Sopranos who got too big for their britches and seemed to stagger, then take time off and WE never came back!

well they do have information from all of the castaways. things that no one could know, really. so it wouldn't be all that surprising.

but i think it's the blonde's x-rays.

i agree. i never really liked Kate or Jack in the first place anyway. Sawyer is ok at times, when he's being a jerk he's fun.

i really am missing Sayid and the rest of them as well.

i hate that they keep throwing random people on the island like they've been there since the plane crashed, but we've never seen them before.

what about all of the other people on that island? what about that one black woman who had cancer and was cured and her husband? where'd they go? and some of the other ones from the backend of the plane. where the heck are those people?

i was happy to see Boone again last week(he was my favorite). honestly....if an island can habit polar bears and horses and heal people's diseases/injuries then it can bring people back from the dead too!

i don't get the 2 island thing. they can't see that other island from the shore(the castaways)??

and i have to agree. the pacemaker thing was stupid. as was the part where Kate was getting undressed/dressed and she got all pissy when he said "put some clothes on!"......honestly....not necessary.

Well I'm still LOVING this show! In fact, I think all the new fall shows that I've been watching (and finding pretty bad) prove how good LOST really is. I watched Jericho before LOST and I was so relieved when LOST finally came on tonight because Jericho just keeps getting worse. The writing and acting on LOST seems far superior to any other network show out there right now.

I'm not going to complain about Sawyer centered episodes - show me some more Sawyer! That man is hot!

Just thought I'd chime in (havign nevere posted to or read this thread before, but am an AVID Lost fan).

Whoever the spinal x-rays belong to should not need JAck at all. If memory serves, the island has been healing everyone with illnesses hasn't it?

Perhaps that is why "the others" are there? They are all terminal people who have come to live out their lives disease free?

Hmm... good point here.

But they aren't really on "the" island are they? Didn't Ben/Henry tell Sawyer they were on an island roughly 2X the size of Alcatraz and he pointed to an island in the distance and said that was "the" island.

Course he said something about the only way to get to a con man is to con him..so is the other island really "the" island or are they on "the" island and Ben is conning Sawyer :scratchin

I love LOST, but they need to move it along at a bit of a quicker pace. They always promise answer, and revelations. Of course they almost never fulfill the promises.

Who else is sick and tired of seeing Sawyer getting the crap kicked out of him every other week? Geesh, how about we pick on someone else for a change? It's getting old real fast and starting to tick me off!!

I had a feeling that they wanted Jack for his surgical abilities. He is very valuable. That would be why they are treating him so good. What I can't figure out is what they want Sawyer and Kate for.

And if they are such peace loving people, then why are they so mean to everyone?

I agree with you folks - these last 2 episodes are really turning me off to Lost. DS works until 10 Wed. nights, so we tape it and he watches it when he gets home; I usually re-watch it with him to catch stuff that I missed the first time around. These last 2 weeks, I fell asleep before the first commercial because the shows were so boring!

Ok, last night's episode: the 2-island thing. Sayid walked around the whole island, following the shore in the 1st season didn't he? That's when he found the French lady. So you'd think he would have seen the 2nd island. So either (a) there IS no 2nd island and Ben is just conning Sawyer ("their" island just curves around; or (b) there's some kind of "cloaking" device preventing the Losties from seeing Ben's island.

The whole pacemaker thing was disgusting - they keep doing this stuff and telling the Losties that they're the "good guys"???? It's just some huge, horrible, mean mind experiment.

The spinal x-ray: the previews really made it look like it was Ben's, but like somebody said - if his spine was that bad, he wouldn't be punching out Sawyer or hiking. Could it be Locke's? Possibly, since we still don't know how he was paralyzed to begin with. But if the island heals, why isn't is healing this spine?

For that matter, if the island heals, why does anybody die? Unless the island only heals pre-existing conditions, and if you get sick/injured/killed ON the island, it can't do anything for you?

And I hope they don't start adding in some of the other folks who survived the crash at this late date. There were 48 that survived, right? They can drag this show on indefinitely if they add another survivor every couple of episodes. Why bother at all now that we're into Season 3??

I'm started to get disgusted with the whole show. And there are only what, 2 more episodes until the break until February? I can't wait; I'm tired of wasting my Wed. nights on this show.

I'm really getting tired of the show too, but the previews do say that we'll find out "why" they survived the crash in these next couple of episodes. So if there is a "why", I'm hoping that that is going to make up for these lackluster episodes of late. At least that's what I'm hoping ;)

As I'm sitting here, I'm wondering if the "why" is because of Jack. Jack told Juliet he was a spine specialist and whoever's x-ray that was, needed a spine specialist. Could they have crashed the plane just to get Jack to preform spine surgery on whoever this is :confused3

Would somebody tell my why I'm still watching this insane show. They throw more curves at you than a pitcher in the world series!

I don't think Sayid made it all the way around. I think he went out and then came back the same way. What we know is the dock where Michael took off and where they covered Sawyer's, Kate's and Jack's heads is the same island. And that's where Sayid docked the boat and where he found the fake village. So if there was a second island they would have to have taken a boat, but S/K/J would have known if they took a boat, right? They were only knocked out before getting to the dock, not after--at least I don't think.

No, I don't think they had anything to do with the plane crashing there. It crashed because Desmond went out of the hatch after Kelvin, and then ended up getting in a struggle with him and killed him.

Desmond then ran back to the hatch and pressed the buttons as the magnet started to do it's whole shake and shimmy thing. Remember the first episode of this season? The Others where in their houses, one even had a book club meeting going on. They heard the noises and all ran outside, where they saw the plane coming down. Ben then told Ethan and the other guy to get to the crash site and to act like survivors and to gather information.

So, I don't think the others brought the plane down. It was Desmond that accidentally did it.

Through their investigation of the survivors (on the internet and contact with the outside world), they have found that Jack is a surgeon and now want him because they need him.
