LOST SEASON 3 **Official** Discussion/Speculation Thread (No Spoilers)

It's so hard to remember back 2 seasons. I *think* Locke was hit by a car, but that it didn't cause his paralysis. That we still don't know what caused it.

Right - we don't know how Locke became paralized.

Just a couple of questions and observations about last nights episode:

-Okay, I just have to say how annoying I find the whole Kate/Jack or Kate/Sawyer thing. Does anybody really care if Kate ends up with either one???

-Didn't Locke donate a kidney to his father? Yet I don't see a scar. He had his shirt off for a good portion of this episode, but I couldn't see anything.

-I find it interesting that Charlie did not go back to the hatch after the implosion to try and save Ecko, Locke and Desmond. He just went back to the beach and was chilling with Claire and Aaron. He even asked someone when he first returned to the beach if Locke and Ecko had returned. But, he never went back to the hatch to see if they survived.

-Same for Locke. The implosion was so violent it appears that he was thrown a distance from the hatch. Yet he didn't think to go back and rescue Ecko until he went on his "visionquest" in the sweat lodge.

-I find it interesting that no one mentioned Walt or Michael in last nights episode. I expected Claire to at least ask about them, yet she didn't.

I can answer that. :teeth: On Nip/Tuck this week they did a kidney transplant and said how they operate from the back. So there would be no scar on his belly. Also, even though they're huge into details, I can see this one easily being overlooked.

I was trying to remember where we left off with them because it seemed to jump around

-I find it interesting that no one mentioned Walt or Michael in last nights episode. I expected Claire to at least ask about them, yet she didn't. Maybe they'll get to that later. I think they were more concerned about Jack/Sawyer/Kate and they just ran with that. I'm it'llcome back up later. Although, wasn't Hurley told not to talk about Michael and Walt?

I thought it was really strange too that nobody went running to the hatch after that big explosion. You'd think the people at the beach would want to go check it out. After all 3 of their people where there at the time... :confused3

The first two episodes this season were great! What's with all the buffalo Jackson hints"great Band?"and the kid was wearing the shirt he said was his dads, does anyone remember Hurley and Charlie pulling the record out originally when they found the record collection in the Hatch? There's some weird stuff online if you google the bands name

Anyway here's something cool........

A friend of mine works for the BBC and I had to pick him up in Springfield(at a convention). He was escorting an actor from the U.K.(Sylvestor McCoy)Since we had met Sylvestor the year before he asked if we would like to have "lunch and a pint".Of course I said "yes!" as we are eating and talking a hand taps me gently on the shoulder, and a soft voice asks "can I join you?"
I look up and it's Mira Furlan (Danielle/The French Lady)! I mumble "Err Ya" turns out she's a friend of Sylvestors (they did stage work together) Lunch lasted about an hour and the topics ranged from theater to world politics, she was a delight!

I am not a storyteller and apologize for my horrid writing..........maybe this will help it was taken with a cell phone sorry.....

I'm on the left . Hope you liked.

How very cool eddad! I've been wondering if we'd see more of her this season, did that happen to come up?

I'll take that as a yes :thumbsup2

I hate to say this but like I am ready for this series to be done, its just getting meaner and meaner.

I never thought I would say it, but I'm rapidly losing interest in this show! If you ask me these last two episodes have been some of the worst -- nothing happens. They're still giving us next to nothing...

And I'm growing tired of this "episode that changes everything" stuff. Haven't they had about 10 episodes that supposedly change everything. How about they stop "changing everything" and answer a few of the damn questions.

I wasn't too happy with the show tonight either. Although, we do find out that Sawyer really does care about Kate. I wonder who the 40 year old man is that has the tumor. I've been thinking Benry is in charge, but now I'm not so sure.

I thought tonight's show was ok, but next week's looks like it will be really good. Did you see that guy with the eyepatch pirate: in the preview? I can't wait to see what he's all about...he looks like a good guy to me for some reason...so while yeah these past few ep's have been a little slow, I have a feeling the next 2 will be great!

Oh, and I think Benry is the guy with the tumor, although I guess it is a possibility that there is someone higher than him...I'm glad that we found this out, tho, because now at least it makes sense why they'd keep Jack around.

I don't think it's Ben with the tumor. My aunt's an x-ray tech and missed the scene with the x-rays so I went back to show her after the show. She said not only is there a tumor, but the bone is disintegrating. I'd think he would be a little more cautious (ie no beating the crap outta Sawyer) if his spine was crumbling. Plus with the promo it was too obvious cutting from Ben to Jack talking about the tumor. Of course I could be wrong. We'll find out in a week!

I don't know, I have been loving these episodes. Sure the promos and their "you can't miss" tone are a little much, but that's the network. The creators have nothing to do with the promos beyond telling the nework to refrain from using certain clips that may be big spoilers (like for the finale) I think they've been giving us a lot of answers, a lot of new mystery, and with that in mind it reminds me so much of Season 1. Who knew there were two islands?! Sawyer's a father? And Sawyer cut a deal with the US government just like Sayid did (although for very different reasons)? All very interesting. Desmond and his lightning rod was interesting. . . can't wait til we get a Desmond centric episode to see what's up with him!

What if the x-ray is Locke's????

From the blonde ladies face I don't think so. I'm wondering if it's someone we haven't seen yet.

I thought tonights episode was just sick. I just don't care about these people. I am tired of all the back stories. Spend more time on the island and tell us something that makes sense.

I don't know if I'll even watch it when it comes back in Feb. It'll just be more of the same.
