LOST - Season 2 (No spoilers)

I think everyone is acting very weird the past two (new) episodes on the island. Very out of character. Getting sick or just stress??

I also wondered if something was causing the way they are acting, maybe now that they have eaten the food from the hatch ?? :confused3

Okay, who saw the title of the manuscript that Hurley found?? It was called The Bad Twin. Well, this is an actual book, being released in conjunction with Lost, about a set of twins. Well, this is what Amazon.com says about the author

About the Author
Bad Twin is the highly-anticipated new novel by acclaimed mystery writer Gary Troup. Bad Twin was delivered to Hyperion just days before Troup boarded Oceanic Flight 815, which was lost in flight from Sydney, Australia to Los Angeles in September 2004. He remains missing and is presumed dead.

Ok so if the manuscript was delivered to Hyperion before Troup got on the plane, what was it doing on the plane? Why would he have two manuscripts??

It wouldn't be unusual for a copy of a manuscript to be with the author.

When authors are looking for a publisher they'll print multiple copies and send them to different companies. For the story line, I'm assuming he approached Hyperion. After the crash Hyperion saw the value in a book written by a victim and decided to cash in by publishing it.

I also missed the beginning of the episode. I went out to dinner with co-workers and underestimated how long dinner would take. I always set my VCR before a trip for shows I might miss due to dinner plans, but never expected to be out past 9:00. I was able to pick up on most of what happened based on where I came in, but I didn't get how Charlie intended to humiliate Locke.
One of the things that happened in the beginning is it showed Locke with a copy of "Occurance at Owl Creek Bridge" in his hand. I'm still obessesing on that. Is that way too blatant of a hint for them to give us? It would be an awful ending if that's the case.

My Dh and I caught Jack calling Locke Jack when he was about to leave.
This was when Jack was asking for the combo to the gun cabinet.
Wr TiVoed about 4 times to make sure we heard correctly.

Jack is the nickname for John. Maybe he thought he was insulting Locke somehow by using a nickname instead of the name he goes by?

Can someone fill me in on that book?

Basically it's about a guy who is about to get hanged, but ends up escaping when the rope breaks and then going home to his wife. Only the reader finds out at the end that he actually *was* hanged, and just imagined all that other stuff right before his impdending death.

Personally, I don't think it's the plot of that book that's important, but rather... the *author.* Ambrose Bierce disappeared in the early 1900s. He has never been found. :scratchin

When you couple that with the Glen Miller music (Moonlight Serenade) that Sayid and Hurley found... makes you wonder!

The author of that book is Gary Troup. Anyone notice that if you rearrange the letters of his name it spells purgatory?? :scratchin

I always thought they were in purgatory but the writers said no.

Everyone excited to see what happens when they don't push the button??? :hyper:

I swear though....if they do a cliffhanger just as the countdown runs out... :furious:

I have a feeling that is exactly what they are going to do and next week of course is a repeat.

Do you know which episode they are repeating? There are two I have to make sure I catch, since I missed them the first time around.

Did anyone else notice that the soldier telling Sayid, "Your man Saddam had to go and invade Kuwait" and later said "I wasn't born yesterday" was Kate's military dad who turned her in? I'm 95% sure it was him. Can anyone confirm?

What did he say? What did Said just say to the 'other' guy about who he was (yapping kids - couldn't hear) - he said, "I am Sayid blah blah blah...blah blah blah" and the 'other' guy looked wide-eyed and it faded to commercial...???
