I keep calling Mr. Eko - Adebisi - the character he played on HBO's OZ. He wasn't so sexy in that show. He always wore a sock on his head.

Michael was on that show too.

Yeah I saw both of them on that show as well. In the backstory he looked a lot differant.

I don't know why, and I don't know if it has any relevance to the episode, but Eko's stare-down scene reminded me of a quote by Friedrich Nietzsche --

AAAARRRRGGGHHHHHH! After I turned off the 1st episode, I set the DVR to tape the 2nd one. I went to watch tonight and I accidently recorded the 1st one and NOT the 2nd one.

I am SO upset

Wow! My husband, and I, didn't even notice the images.

I think this episode was great. I almost missed it. I have the flu, and was on the couch. My husband was dozing in the recliner, and told me to make sure he was awake at 9:00. I guess I dozed off watching the first LOST. Luckily my teenager called home to let us know where she was! It was ten after nine!

So, we missed the first ten minutes, and I wondered if we missed much. It doesn't seem like we did, though.

I love Eco, thought it was great to see so much of him this week.

How about Kate and Sawyers little flirting and such!! Did you see Jacks face? Was that jealousy or what??!

Was good to see at the end the tailies and the first group reaching out to each other. Eco and Charlie, Hurley and that blonde woman, Sun and Jin and Ana Lucia, too bad they didn't show Bernard and Rose.

Did I miss something? When did Walt start communicating via the computer with Michael? Or was this episode the first time they showed that??

Michael started communicating with Walt at the end of the last new episode (Nov, I think?). All that happened in that episode was Michael sitting at the computer and a "hello?" popping up. I think Michael responded the same and the other person said, "who is this?"
Michael responded "michael...who is this?" or something and the reply was, "Dad?"
I think that's all that happened....hope i helped.

They showed that on the last episode (which seemed like eons ago!). Someone typed the word "hello?" and Michael started typing back just as Eko and Locke were watching the missing film from the Dharma Inititive film that states "do not make contact with the outside world!"

Is anyone else interested to know why Eko was on that plane? Do you think he was down in Australia looking for his brother that went missing??

Why didn't they show more of Michael talking to "Walt"?? I was so upset about that.

I wonder if those are the Others in the next episode telling them to get off the island. Don't they think that they would get off if they had the means to??

Question: During Eko's flashback, the men came and tried to take all the children. Anyone think that this is similar to the Others taking the children on the Lost island??

Good point. I think it's just too much of a coincidence that both the drug plane and their flight both crashed there. Maybe that does have something to do with it.

Good guess, I didn't think about him.
The Tivo stopped recording so that part was cut off. When I saw it on a commerical later, I thought it sounded like the Other that Ana-Lucia killed. Sorry, can't remember his name.

Also, I happened to be looking at the cast at IMDB and I noticed that Cindy shows up in the credits in the first three episode (Pilot 1, Pilot 2 and Walkabout). Is Cindy the flight attendant who asks Jack how his drink is?
