LOST - Season 2 (No spoilers)

I have to admit, the episode wasn't as good as I was expecting. It just wasn't that exciting :confused3 The previews made it out to be a lot more exciting than it was. Not sure I want this show to turn into some war against the others. I hope they tie up more loose ends....are they ever going to delve more into Claire and the psychic? That's what interests me, hopefully they may touch on it next week.

A couple of things --

First, notice that Zeke (heck, it's easier than referring to him as the Gorton's Fisherman) called for Alex to bring Kate out. That has to be Danielle's child.

Second, is it just me, or did Zeke seem surprised at first when Jack mentioned Ethan?

I think there are two groups of "Others" and the crash survivors are caught in the middle. Zeke looks like the DeGroot guy from the filmstrip. Lauri and I think Zeke's group are part of the scientists that came to the island to do the experiments, and the other group are some sort of genetically engineered clones that were a result of those experients and probably the cause of the "incident" that Candle talked about. Remember how easily Ethan picked up Charlie by his neck?

Only thing I'm not sure about is -- which group should the castaways be preparing for a war against.

I googled the quote he said to Jack/Locke/Sawyer (don't remember the wording now) and it was credited to Alvar Hanso with links to the Hanso foundation. Zeke said that "A very wise man once said (quote)" so he would have to be aware of Hanso. I definitely think you are on the right track!

I LOVE this theory!

I also thought he looked surprised when Jack mentioned Ethan, like he had no idea who Jack was talking about.

I also thought that there weren't as many people as torches, why wouldn't they show themselves :confused3

At least now we know what happened to Jack's marriage and it looks like his father may have started drinking because Jack was becoming the doctor people were coming to see.

Remember Ethan and Goodwin both were very 'clean looking', not at all like 'Zeke' and the others on the boat that night.

I think the group that Zeke is with are not really the 'bad guys', that they are trying to protect the Losties and maybe have unconventional methods of that, like snatching the children and the 'good ones' in order to try to keep them safe from whatever is the real threat out there. (Remember he said Walt was fine?) Now what is the real threat? Possibly the other group? Possibly something else?

And who do you think Sara was cheating on Jack with? Do you think it will turn out to be someone Jack knows????? They do have this way of intersecting the characters, like the guy that died in the car accident with Sara being Shannon's dad and Hurley listening to Charlie's band, etc.

I was on ABC's theory boards last night :listen: and someone there suggested it might turn out to be Desmond. That would be very interesting.
Hmmmmmm....

That is interesting, but when Jack ran into Desmond he was preparing for the race around the world and Jack did not think Sara would ever walk. Desmond asked if Jack believed in miracles. Only when he went back to the hospital did he find out that Sara could move.

I'm thinking maybe she was seeing Jack's Dad.

Where do you suppose Michael is?

I loved last nights episode. Can't wait for next week.

They did show Desmond in a picture with a blonde woman that Jack did take a second look at. People suggested it was his wife, but I don't think it was. I think if that was Jack's wife, he would have said something to Desmond.

1. Why would Jack ask Anna Lucia to help him train an Army when he's got Sayid...a guy who was actually in the army!

2. I am wondering if there are two groups of others as well. We still don't know why they are "stealing" the children and the "good" survivors.

I thought that as well about Sayid.

The last 20 minutes of last night's episode was great but the first part seemed so slow.

Did Desmond leave immediately after seeing Jack that night? Or could he have been been training for a few years for a race around the world? And did Jack's plane crash right after Sara left him? Or was it a few years later? I can't remember.

You're probably right about the timetable being a little off for Desmond and Sara, but it would be pretty interesting. Just thought it was weird that Desmond was asking Jack about her right before running off into the woods.
I think he asked if he was still married to her. Could have just been curiosity about the situation, but I just thought it was kind of weird.

Jack's Dad would be interesting too and might explain why he was so angry with him. The only thing that makes me think it might not be him is that when he saw how close Jack was getting with Gabriella, if he was fooling around with Sara, he would not have chastised Jack for it. Seems like he might have encouraged it bc it would make it easier on him and Sara.

As far as Michael, I think they have definitely set a trap for him via 'Walt' and the computer. Remember 'Zeke' said "Michael won't find us" and sort of smirked?

I get more and more hooked on this show with each episode. Can't wait for next week!

Every time Sawyer and Kate are near each other, I have to turn on my air conditioning!

I thought that too. Why else would "Walt" ask Michael if he was alone?? Too shady.

Was no one else upset that Jack or anyone else didn't ask Zeke what they were doing there and why?? Why did they take all the children? Why can't we cross this line? WHY? WHY? WHY!!??! :crazy2: I think this show is making me go insane :guilty:

Jen, one of the secrets of the island is that it makes one lose the ability to ask obvious questions. ;)

It does get frustrating.
