Has anyone heard about the possible link between Jack and Shannon?

The girl in the picture with desmond is NOT the girl that Jack's dad killed during a botched surgery where he was drunk...that patient had dark hair and a darker complexion. The girl in the photo was fair and blonde. Not a connection.

The connection between shannon and jack is that when Jack was called to the OR for patients of an accident, there were 2 patients: Sarah, his future-wife, and Shannon's dad, Mr. Rutherford. Both were in critical condition and he had to choose which one to work on...he chose Sarah and Mr. Rutherford died because of lack of attention by a doctor working on him (though his injuries may have been so fatal, that anyone working on him couldn't save him...we don't know, since no one worked on him).

Also, I rewatched the 'phone-Helen' scene. there's NO way the helen on the phone is the real-life helen. It's VERY clear in the phone-helen scenes that she's a call-girl of sorts. There should be no question here.

Lastly, I was just remembering the scene where Walt appeared with water coming out of his mouth. Backwards, people say he says, "the buttons or bad' or something. What if he's trying to warn them to stop entering the numbers into the computer...that's it's actually bad for them (contradicting what Desmond believes about entering the numbers is saving the world). Meaning, what if by continuing to enter the numbers, they are somehow disabling themselves in some way. Maybe the Dharma initiative is like casting a spell or something on the people injected with a certain substance. Or causing things to act weirdly (the polar bears and the shark) -- maybe by entering the numbers it puts out a signal by using the electromagnetic force that's there. Or maybe it charges the electromagnetic force...which prevents communications from reaching beyond the island's borders or 'pulls' local aircrafts/boats to crash on the island. I think they should stop entering the numbers ("the button is bad") and see what benefit happens!

Ok, sounds like I have the details of the girl in the photo with Desmond wrong...I thought I *remembered* her blonde. But, the URL you posted is blocked by my work ISP, so I can't view her (in the photo). Can anyone post that jpg here?

That said, I would STILL be very surprised if the girl in the photo with desmond WERE the same person as the girl jack's dad 'killed' in the OR table, because I just watched that Jack/his dad episode on DVD last night...and the girl's husband was shown talking to Jack's dad about her death and threatening a lawsuit. It was not Desmond. So, I doubt desmond has something to do with that girl that died in the OR. (Yes, you could proclaim that maybe Desmond had an affair with her or was married to her BEFORE marrying the guy she was married to when she died, but that seems like a stretch.) IMO

Not sure but I think the 777 refers to the type plane. It's the model number like a 707, 727, etc. It denotes the type plane from Boeing.

LOST-tv message board has made a cool discovery.
They say that flight 815 has a DHARMA logo on it. Here's a pic (it is for sure original and undoctored).

I think this is very cool. Did the plane crash as part of an experiment? Or did whatever made the crash leave the mark? I think the logo is unmistakable. It's way too prominent.

If I find anything else I'll post more on this later.

I think it's because he thinks anything associated with the numbers is bad. He probably didn't want them to enter the numbers, and when Locke suggested 32 he just let him do it.

Well, remember Hurley had no idea what the correct sequence was. He just saw Locke starting to type the lotto numbers in. When he saw John type 32 he was relieved. I got the feeling he thought the number should have been 32 and was happy to see it wasn't 42, but then of course Jack came in and corrected them
