I switched my mother's ring from my right to left hand outside finger this weekend. It has a purple stone for June, a diamond in the center (a real one) for April, and also March.
Today I took a half day from work to take DS to the ophthamologist (SP?), took him to school, went to Kroger, got some lunch at a local eatery, then cleaned the bejesus out of my kitchen.
Went to pick up DS and DD#2--noticed the ring was gone!
Went through my purse (I was trolling for tip change at the restaurant so I though maybe it fell of in there)--no luck. not in pockets, not in kitchen (I didn't think so--my anniversary ring is still on and I usually take them both off when I do). Didn't even go upstairs since I've been home so at least I don't have to check there.
There is an outside chance it is at work, although things have disappeared from my room before (videos and CDs) and if a ring was sitting there what are the odds it will still be there tomorrow? I'm going to the restaurant shortly to check it out. As for Kroger, again, Kroger isn't Disney where most things get turned in by good samaritans. My last resort will be to go through my trash in case it fell off when I was throwing stuff away while I cleaned. a VERY LOADED trash can
!
Wish me luck! There is NO MONEY in the kitty at the moment to even think of replacement.
