Um ... why? There is nothing going on in the thread now and it isn't the kind that needs to be "bumped" IMO. Those of us who have it Subscibed will commment on it when we have something to say (therefor bumping it) but in the meantime I opened up the thread to read it and found nothing new. It was kinda a waste of my time (even more so since I thought I would kvetch a little on the "bumping" ).

Actually korzmom I'd just typed a longish post on why people do it, but the server dropped me!!!!!

Bumping moves a thread back to page one. Some people do it so that the thread can be 'found' by others. Lots of people don't realize that once you've posted on a thread you are subscribed to it and if you go to your User CP (dark blue band at top of the page) you can see current activity on all the threads you have posted on and therefore don't need to hunt for them. The CB moves so fast that threads can end up on page 4 or 5 in no time.

Bumping can be NECESSARY sometimes.....say you've started a thread asking for infomation and only gotten a couple of responses....you can hunt down your thread and make a new post 'bumping' it so that a new batch of DISers can see it and hopefully help you out.

Uhmmm...I'm sort of disapointed with the show tonight. Just seemed a little uninspired. But there was a preview of next week and that looks exciting! Curious if it's the same preview those in the U.S saw. Was it the French woman warning them someone was coming for them and the baby? And to run, hide or get off the island?
