LOST.Discuss the current episodes SEASON PREMIERE Wednesday!!!!

Wow...well, I"m a bit disappointed that the death was so obvious, but I still think it was a very intense, good episode. Rather predictable with the death/birth, but there were some very good moments mixed in there.

Jin and Charlies were great! LOL!

And I'll just say it now... I was WRONG! :sad2:

I guess I have no feelings. I didn't cry at all :guilty:

You are not alone, no tears here either. I was expecting them, we were told we'd all be crying by the spoilers but...just didn't do it for me. It was a good episode though.

I found myself holding back tears when Boone told Jack to let him go and Jack realized Boone was right. And then again when Jack was walking towards Shannon at the end...Shannon and Sayid looked so happy and everyone else was so happy about the new baby...it was just sad.

Me too. I thought it was really great the way they tell Shannon and then cut to Boone's body all without any words.

I also cried over the cute little baby. What a wuss I can be! He was soooo cute when he started to suck his thumb. awwwww.

I do have to say it was a very uncomfortable episode to watch between lots of blood and pain, setting legs, make-shift transfusions, almost amputations, death and heart break. Last week I watched totally glued to end of my couch. This week I got up, walked around and was antsy.

I found Jack's back-story interesting. It set him up in the Hero role again. He saved his bride's life when no one else offered hope. Then, like the White Knight, he marries the beautiful Princess. On one hand, he seems to strive for the role of the perfectionist. On the other hand, the drive to be perfect is one of his greatest weaknesses because he is so afraid to fail. His perfectionism is a foil against his father's alcoholism. Being on the Island is stripping away the perfectionist shell and we are starting to see the real Jack. Personally, I prefer a less-than-perfect Jack myself :bitelip:.

I thought the episode was okay. All the gory parts made me uneasy. I didn't watch some of it. I knew there was no way Jack could cut off that leg. I guess by the next new episode Claire will be skinny and gorgeous like all the other women.

I really didn't think Boone was going to bite it because, like others, I thought it seemed "too obvious." I had thought the death was going to surprise us or something. And then I kept reading that the writers were so great because they had such balls and they were going to kill off a main character and it was going to be this huge deal. Sorry, but I don't think Boone was anybody's favorite character. He wasn't really even in the show all that much. So much for really shocking everyone. Watch Buffy---now there's a writer who isn't afraid to do bad things to the real main cast. :teeth:

I think Jack is boring. Could we see a little more Jin? Shirtless even?

I'm glad you told us what happened. I told you I hate daylight savings time - I forgot to reset the video recorder and missed everything I attempted to record tonight, including Lost.

I got a lump in my throat and I caught DH wiping his eyes. I thought the end was real sad.

It was obvious but so obvious that I thought that I was wrong if that makes any sense. The next show looks good.

Me, neither. I felt sorry for Ian as an actor & will be watching GMA tomorrow but we didn't get to know Boone enough to be sad.
How is he going to be back next season in one form or another? Will Claire name the baby Boone?

Goodfairies, i agree with you on a lot--Buffy the show was ruthless in killing and maiming real characters (Xander's eye, anyone?) And Jin should be shirtless, or better yet, nekkid as much as possible.
But Jack is not boring! He just has too many clothes on all the time.

Looks like my theroy fell apart but it's ok.

But using that which cast members could have left to presure other projects?

There wasn't a dry eye in my house. We were all sad to see Boone go.

At this point, probably most of them.

My early hunch was Naveen Andrews(Sayid) since he has a established film career
