Interesting show last night. First off the Walt part was pretty funny with the bird. He's doing homework regarding native birds, his mom is having problems and Walt is telling her You not looking yet. Well the bird wasn't apparently looking either as is sounded like it may have hit the glass window then died. Of course this is foretelling that someone else is about to die as well (Walt's mom especially given that a bird just dropped out of the air and died on their property). I also believe that Walt has some special things about him and one of them is when he is angry things get a bit weird around him (2 times we've had polar bears after he was reading the comic book). Not to mention in a previous episode where Walt was playing back gammon, everytime he called out the number he needed he got that number, when he didn't call out the number he needed he didn't get the number (apparently the island grants wishes).

I kept thinking as Walt was looking at the Comic strip that what if the writers did use the story line from the comic book as a rough outline for the outlandish island. Boone/Loche are attempting to open a hatch (what if it is a foreign spacecraft that crashed years ago). NOt to mention the French woman's saga (maybe they were keeping aliens there and testing on them and something went awry). I think eventually we will see the alien that was in the comic book (they simply showed the alien a bit long on tv).

Very good points!!! Never even gave a thought about that bird that crashed into the window. It's like Walt controls stuff with his mind and doesn't know it. Hmmmm....

I was so happy when Boone was mean to Shannon. It's about time after everything she has done to him.

If the kid really had that kind of power then a rescue boat or plane would have shown up by now (unless of course he wants to stay on the island )

I believe whatever he imagines has to be from something he sees (reads). I don't think he is imagining the whole island, but he does have a way of making things come to life.

I'm another one who thinks Locke is good. Everything he has done, has been for the person's good.
I'm wondering too if Walt is the one who brought down the plane. Like others have said, when he's angry things happen. I'm sure he was really angry on the plane, since his mom died and now he's with this man who calls himself his dad. I'm wondering if in future episodes he will start to realize he can make things happen and then flash back to the plane crash and realize he may have caused the crash.
What I also notice is that we have only seen Jack's, Kate's and Charlie's version of the crash. I wonder why we haven't seen some of the others, especially those we have seen the backstory on. Maybe the producers just think it's redundant to show the crash again, but then again, maybe there's a reason

I can't wait for Hurley's back story...also the African American woman with the DH "still alive" 's back story. (Do we know her name? I can't remember it.)

Are there any other "main" characters that we are waiting for the back story?
We have Sayid, Jack, Kate, Charlie, Claire, Sun and ?, Walt and his dad, Locke, and Boone and Shannon....

Help me out if I'm forgetting! Love this show!

I think what puzzles me the most about this show is--how are they going to end this season? How can you have a season finale? It seems like a season finale every week! (For example, Claire stumbling back into the group)

I'm really curious as to what the last episode before summer will have. If it's better than what we have already seen on a weekly basis, I'll be pulling my hair out all summer!

My DH is a land surveyor, so he is obsessing over the Frenchwoman's map and the view of the night sky we saw in last nights episode.

The big dipper appears in the sky late in the episode--just before they hear the noise in the woods and find Claire. The dipper is not visible in the southern hemisphere.

The map shows a triangle with coordinates of 38 36 and 41. In a previous episode, Sayid is looking at the map and a 34 longitude appears.

These clues would suggest an island in the northern hemisphere along, not someplace between Australia and Fiji.

Polar bears, stolen babies, beasts in the jungle, aliens, crazy French women, black rocks, distress signals...I just can't take it anymore. I'm going CRAAAAAAAZZZZZZZYYYYYY. Somebody please post a picture of Sawyer so I can remind myself why I watch this show!!!!!!!!

Ok, now that that is over, has anyone noticed the LOST rubberband man commercial they're showing during LOST? Cracks me up!
