Locke is my favorite character as well. But I wonder, if Boone lives, will Locke lose the use of his legs again? It seemed like the island forced him to make that choice. In his dream he looks to one side and sees his wheelchair and on the other side is a bloody Boone. Boone might have been a sacrifice to the island. If Boone lives, then maybe that's where the heroin and Charlie come into play?
No good can come out of Locke's obsession with the hatch. It reminds me all too much of a book I've recently read. :sad2:
What was the book? If you say the Tommyknockers I will :faint:

No, but it was a Stephen King. Actually the Tommyknockers is pretty similar too.

I just read earlier where someone said the Tommyknockers had "scenes" similar to the hatch. It makes me want to read it, but I just can't read Stephen King. I'm too big of a scaredy cat.

I didn't notice that Locke looked from one side to the other and saw the wheelchair on one side and Boone on the other. I just can't believe in my heart he sacrificed Boone for the ability to walk again. I just have this feeling (or strong desire to believe - LOL) that Locke is pure and good and after all he's endured he will have some reward in the end. I will be completely devastated if he turns out to be evil.

But I don't think he consciously chose the sacrifice. I think he only realized what would happen when the plane started tipping. He yelled for Boone to get out but Boone was too busy on the walkie talkie. I think that's when he realized what the island's dream message meant.

The Tommyknockers isn't too scary, but it is more creepy. And a lot of it is boring and redundant. It's a pretty long book.

Still want to know what caused Locke's paralysis, though.

And, I'm so bad, as soon as Boone found the Heroin, I told DH "Well, Charlie would be happy w/ that!" Shame, shame...

As a nurse, I started thinking about the possibility that Locke develops an infection after his surgery that is so serious it spreads to the spinal cord and causes permit (or so we thought) damage and causes the paralysis. I think I would be even madder at his Dad if this turns out to be true :guilty: . At first, when I was watching the episode I was worried Locke's Dad was going to shoot him on one of those bird hunting trips. :confused3

I also thought about Charlie when Boone announced it was heroin. :rotfl:

I was thinking about Charlie as well but Hurley's Harry Potter crack was too funny

We should play a game: Caption This Photo:

My Caption: Even with these glasses I look better without a shirt than you do.

I think we were supposed to think of Charlie when we saw the drugs. Did anyone find it ironic that it was being smuggled in statues of the Virgin Mary by a fake priest given Charlie is Catholic and struggled with the drug problem. I don't think it was accidental.

ok - he looked one way - saw Boone, the other, saw the wheelchair, looked AGAIN and saw his MOTHER?!?! What was THAT?!?!

And as to HOW Locke got paralyzed...at the end of his "flashback" scene...when he was in his car pulled over...the look in his eyes just screamed to me "I'm going to drive this car off a cliff right now".

I hope he doesn't...the Locke we know now is too strong to do that.

and please god...let Terry O'Quinn keep his head shaved...he did NOT look right with that hair!

Does anyone else think that the lifetime supply of Heroin in the woods is going to be a serious problem for Charlie in the future? I do!! He kicked the habit, but that's when he thought that he had burned his last bag of drugs. Will he go back to drugs now that he has a ready supply?

Also, flame me if you must, but I could do without Boone. He creeps me out somewhat. Maybe it was the scene where he slept with Shannon that made me not like him. Either way, I won't be too sad if he doesn't come back next season.

That was the first thing I said too, when they found the drugs, don't tell Charlie. I don't think Locke is evil either. I have thought both ways about him, as they make him so odd, but I don't think an evil man would have built Claires cradle, and he looked totally distraught to me about Boone. I don't want Boone to die either, but if someone has to, I guess he's probably the one I'd miss least. He can look kinda creepy a lot. I don't want anyone to die!!!!!!!!!!

Jin is pretty hot too LOL. I miss Charlie though, we had no Charlie last night, and virtually no Sayid. Love the glasses he constructed though. That whole storyline was just too funny!!!

We didn't get home until 8:30 last night so we missed the entire first half. I felt like I was trying to play catch-up the rest of the show!! I think I've got most of it just from reading the past several pages. I don't know what to think...I'm starting to just resign myself that I'm on the ride and someone else is driving. ;) My brain starts hurting after awhile!! :rotfl:

I will say that even with those goofy glasses, Sawyer is still hot. I prefer Sayid but I wouldn't turn down Sawyer!!

Are we really having another new episode next week?!?

Yes, it's another new episode. It's going to be another good one.

Sawyer could add tape to the center of those glasses, put a pencil in his hair and a comb in his back pocket and I'd still think he's hot!

But, wasn't Locke only in a wheelchair for 4 years? It seems like the flashback was to a lot longer than 4 years ago, so I wouldn't think the paralysis happened shortly after the surgery?

That's what I said last night, seemed like a lot of hair to lose in only 4 years. I guess every additional back story they give us just leaves us with more questions. He sure did look like he was going to drive off a cliff when he left his dads house though.

Last nights episode had the worst cliff hanger ending, both dh and I were sitting there with our mouths open, yelling huh?, no, more, we need more!!!!

I also immediately thought of Charlie when I saw the drugs. But, I didn't tie in his catholicism to the statues. I tied it into Locke's mom saying that he was immaculately conceived.

Loved last night's episode. My first thought when Locke woke up in the hospital bed and dad was gone was that something had gone wrong in surgery, Locke had been in a coma, and now he was waking up paralyzed. I really hope that we get some info about how he came to lose his legs.

My favorite line of the night was Sawyer's: "My insurance ran out." Boy can I relate to that one!

WHat a cliffhanger ending!!!! Cannot wait till next week! :Pinkbounc
I wonder if Locke is going to tell everyone about the plane & what really happened to Charlie....or keep it all to himself?!?!? I too, likemany of you love the character of Locke.

I agree too, Sawyer...still hot in the goofy glasses! :teeth:

Oh no, I can't believe Locke is evil. In the dream Boone is covered in blood and staring off and saying "Teresa falls up the stairs, Teresa falls down the stairs" ( It was Teresa wasn't it) I would have assumed the blood on Boone to have something to do with the Teresa he was talking about, not a premonition, I mean, the plane in the dream wasn't a premonition of things to come, it was of the past, so maybe Locke interpreted a Bloody Boone to be of the past also.

I also wondered if Locke became paralysed right after leaving his fathers house, but he looks too old now to have been in the wheelchair for 4 years.

I wonder if future episodes will show Sawyer in his new specs alot or if he hides when he reads! Very friendly of Sayid to make those glasses for him, wasn't it? And didn't they have a big pile of glasses to choose from? that would not be possible, I wear glasses and I would not put them in my luggage, they would be on me.

I wonder if the blood on Boone in the dream means he was responsible for causing someones death (making nanny theresa run up and down the stairs). now I'm trying to think if in some way each of them is responsible for a death in some way or another, intentional or not. Jack with an OR patient, Boone with his nanny, Kate has already said she has killed someone, Sawyer killed the guy he thought was Sawyer. Hurly's bad luck led to the death of his grandfather (or was it uncle? can't remember) among other bad things. I'm wondering if this all ties them to the island? or am I just thinking too much here?
