Can someone explain something to me? This is in reference to Kate. We finished watching the entire DVD set last night but are still quite perplexed with the Kate episodes. In the bank robbing episode, is that what made her a wanted fugitive? If that's the case when she was visiting Tom and her mom was that after the bank robbing incident? I'm just confused because didn't she get the airplane toy out of the safe deposit box during the bank robbing episode? I'm very confused about the timeline!?! Help!!

no, we still do not know why Kate was originally wanted by the police. the Tom/hospital scenes were before the bank robbery. You'll notice the little plane is in the back seat (I think it was the back seat) when she took off running.

Tom and Kate also had dug up a box - like a "time capsule" that they had buried as children. The toy plane was in that box.

I assumed that when Kate robbed the bank it was primarily to get that plane back.

Kate did break into the bank for the plane, although I feel there's a lot more to the plane than we know. Right now it seems she broke into the bank, because Tom was killed and she blamed herself and she wanted the plane as a reminder of him, but to me it seems a little ridiculous that she would risk so much to get something that belonged to him. I'm thinking the plane might contain something inside of it. I guess we'll have to wait and see if anything is made of the plane.

I was really hoping that Terry O'Quinn would win best supporting actor. Oh well....there's always next year. I know many of you are big Naveen Andrews fans, and I agree he's easy on the eyes, but I've enjoyed Terry O'Quinn since his days as a guest star on Alias.

My husband found this during lunch, he was trying to find the comic that walt had with no luck (none translated any way). It gives you a good overview of each episode in season 1 and points out things we may have missed. Example: when Boone called for help on the radio, it said "we are the survivors of flight 815". It also gives a good character bio for each of the main survivors. There are no spoilers for future epidodes but if you haven't seen an episode from season one it will be one.

I thought the person on the other end of the radio said "there are no survivors of flight 815"... This changes everything!

ETA- The character bios will also contain spoilers if you haven's seen every episode of season one.

Edited again- on silly note, this site confirmed some suspicions I had... When I heard the name Walt I thought "where's Mickey?" I apparently missed the fact that Sawyer calls Michael "Mickey"!
