It didn't look like what I'd think her ship would be -- it looked much much older. More like a pirate ship actually...

And man, did this epi have me tearing... between Sawyer being human to Jin & Sun's scenes to Walt giving Shannon his dog because "he's a good listener"... Is it next week yet?!?!?
I agree with you and elgerber that it didn't look like a newer ship, but it seemed to be in fairly good condition. That's what has me confused.

This was a very touching episode. I say this almost every week but there is unbelievable writing on this show.

Great episode!! Learned a lot!

Monster = security system. Hmmm....

I never thought it was Danielle's ship. I guess it could be, but that never occurred to me. Maybe because it looks so old.

Next week's episode looks like a good one...seems much more tense than tonight's!

OK, everyone. I made a HUGE mistake. We're going to Chicago next Wednesday for two nights. I won't be home until Friday evening. :earseek: OMG, what am I going to do?

Anyway....OK, I'm having some warm fuzzy feelings about Sawyer now. But, I knew I would. I never liked his character at the beginning, but I knew he would come around to redeem himself (at least partly).

I can't believe Jin actually left on the raft. Even if my husband and I were fighting, no way would I let him leave me alone on the island. I can't believe Sun wrote the words out for him. Wow, she sure has a great understanding of the English language. I'm a little curious about that. I was soooooo hoping she would say something to that snotty woman in the airport. That would have been awesome!!!

Oh and the stupid dog was making me cry. I can't believe he started swimming after the raft. That just killed me. Now, he's all sad thinking his master left him. :sad1:

OK, I have to admit it.... I cried tears...rolling down my face tears! :sad2:

:teeth: I don't want to say I told you so, but...

Some other things I thought were interesting:
Anyone else feel we were set up tonight by the airport girl telling Jack they stuck her in the back of the plane? Hmmm...was she sitting next to Rose's husband by any chance :rolleyes1 Also, we know everything is said/there for a reason, so I wonder what her last statement to Jack meant: "Don't worry, the worst part is over."

Shannon setting up Sayid at the airport was just so Shannon.

As I think we all know by now  I love Sawyer, but I've never thought he was a great actor...until tonight. He has really grown through the season. He better be back next year because there is so much he can add to the show.

Sun was very brave to watch Jin leave like that. I would have been beside myself if my husband took off on the raft. I love that he said he was doing it to save her. I am so happy they made up before he left. On the other hand, when loose ends are wrapped up like that I always worry for the character. That's a good time for something awful to happen to the character - when we least expect it.

Jack's not married anymore...wonder what happened?

I had lost interest in the "monster" but after hearing it again and "Madame Nutso" saying it's a security system, I'm anxious to see what it is.

I have lots more thoughts, but I'll save them for later. Sure I'm boring everyone.

Oh, and good to see Boone again :).

I have it on tape but I'm currently re-watching from the beginning. Did I see Charlie punch out Sayid in the previews for next week?

Also, the seat the airport girl was in was 42F -- there's that number again...

There has to be more to that girl at the airport because she just didn't "fit" IMO. Her conversation with Jack was just odd...somethings not right there. I can't my finger on it, but something didn't seem right. :confused3

On a side note, ABC has announced that Lost will be aired one hour later on Wednesday nights next season (9pm EST)

Woo Hoo! That's wonderful!! We have to tape it now since DS's bedtime is 8:00pm so we're playing, getting ready for bed, etc from 7-8.

So I'm puzzled over the previews for next week. Sawyer left on the raft, correct? Well the previews for next week seem to show him on land??? Also shows him diving off the raft? Hmmmm... think he changes his mind about going on the raft? :confused3

I had the same feeling about the girl at the airport w/Jack. Dh said she was referring to Jack's father's death, but it just seemed too vague of a comment... maybe meant to trick us into thinking one thing, when it meant another. (An aside, I don't know the girl's real name, but she was in Blue Crush, the chick surfer movie). I have a feeling that the seat numbers come into play... maybe they switched places or something... meaning fate in one surviving the crash and the other not making it? But why? That could tie into the whole question of who/what brought them to the island.

Has anyone else noticed that a number of the people (actually all of them that I can think of) who survived the crash were on that plane, not by choice but more by necessity or force... meaning, none of them were really just going on a vacation or returning from vaca. They were "on business" -- be it personal business or police business, deportation, prisoner transportation, due to deaths of others they knew, etc. How could this take on greater meaning, if it is meant to at all?

The girl's name is Michelle Rodriguez :)
