Hi everyone,

I bought into the club shortly before Hurricane Katrina mostly because I read the stuff on this website. However, the Hurricane wiped me out and I lost most of my possessions including the Disney Vacation Club packet etc.

Does anyone have a contact number or preferably email where I can email the club to get my packet again and my member number, etc.?
 
I wish I could help you. I know someone will crop up with the answers. I just wanted to send a little extra pixie dust your way :wizard: I'm Florida and we have our share of hurricanes, of course nothing compares to this one, but at least I can somewhat feel your pain. I hope it all gets sorted for you soon.
 

Welcome to the DIS boards! Katrina was a horrible, horrible event...thank goodness you are safe.



The non-toll-free number for member services is: 407-566-3800. I would call that number, they can look up your membership number and tell you who to contact, whether it be a DVC guide or member accounting, to replace some of your documents. Also, your deeds and mortgage (if you financed through DVC) can be found here: Orange County Comptroller

First, I'm sorry to read that you lost most of your possessions. I hope you and all of your loved ones are okay.

Rather than trying to communicate with Member Services, I would recommend going back to the DVC sales organization at 800-500-3990. Based on your name, they should be able to look up your DVC Guide. (Whether you bought directly from Disney or you bought a resale, a DVC Guide is assigned to you.) Your DVC Guide should be able to initiate the process to get duplicate documents generated and to determine your member number.

So sorry for your loss! The number you were just given will work, as will emailing your guide if you remember who your guide was.

Can't post the number here, because as you've seen it just comes out ******. (The number is for members only and is not supposed to be published on a public forum like this.)
