Losing weight for Disney Wedding

My DF and I weighed in last night....I am down 17 pounds now and he is down 23 pounds! :cool1:

Yeah Weight Watchers....It is soooo easy. We haven't been hungry at all and my DF is 6'3. You get plenty of food and the best part is you can still go to the diner and have a cheese burger if you want one, as long as your points work out right you can eat anything you want. It teaches you have to eat everyday food sensibly!

Huge fan of Weight Watchers. I lost 23 lbs so easily doing Weight Watchers before. Gained it all back working on the ship - so I'll be starting over again when I get home!

Just wanted to offer congrats to the ladies losing weight! :cheer2:

It's not an easy road to travel, and I admire anyone with the ability to do it. Remember that you're all amazing and beautiful people as you are, and the the weight loss is just surface. :goodvibes

I can't wait to see the pictures of all the beautiful brides in their dresses!

You're sweet! I appreciate your comments... and you're right it is just exterior, but I have a problem with arm flab in my wedding dress. :lmao: I just want to get back to what I was before kids. Not the same weight, just the way I looked. Being a mommy means you never have time for yourself and it's so nice to see results when you're doing something for yourself and in the long run...your kids! Thanks again!

I think I may join weight watchers....

So far I've lost almost 20 pounds but I want to lose another 15 before the 1st of August!

I had a fear of my dress being too tight b/c I don't diet or exercise. I know, I know, please save me from the lectures.
I got a corset backing in the dress and it can be tightened or let out based on the 10lbs diff. Anymore, I would have trouble, but so far so good.
What kind of backing do you have? Also are you wearing a crinoline skirt and a bra? The guy who did the hemming on my dress built a bra into it so I don't have to wear a huge bra covering me from bosom to waist.
Any pics of your dress?

HOw are you ladies doing. I am down 22 pounds and My DF is down 32 pounds!

I am going to join in with you all. DFi and I are on week 2 of Weight Watchers. Hes down 9lbs and I'm down 6lbs :) I have been going nuts making sure I don't touch my extra weekly points because we are going to the Melting Pot tomorrow for SIL's bday and I know its going to be A TON of points. I did find an article about eating healthy there.

We should start a weigh-in thread here to help keep us all motivated. Anyone in?

-Lauren

p.s. I just found an estimate of what the melting pot would be for a 4 course dinner. 33 points for 2 people to share. So thats like 16.5 each, I know thats bad but its not sooo bad. I really would have guessed it was over 25 each.

I weighed in last night and I am down 24.4 pounds....SO close to 25. I want to lose 50 by the wedding....4 months...I think I can do it!

You guys are doing great!! :thumbsup2

Lauren -- I was just thinking about starting a ww thread, but why disclude the jc people and the ones doing it on their own! Why don't we just use this thread?

DF and I are doing WW. Week 8 -- I'm down 15 and DF is down 20! We're so happy!!! :thumbsup2

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this thread will probably be directed to the WISH thread on the main boards. It has tons of weightloss threads for weight watchers and Jenny Craig. That's where I was directed over too... :confused3 I wish we could have it here, but with the new guidelines I'd hate for all our work to go unmentioned...

Congrats girls (and grooms)! You guys are doing awesome! ::yes::

I would look for an outside seamstress. Most seamstresses guarantee their work. I wouldn't risk taking the dress to Davids.

We should change the Title to Wedding Weight Loss to keep it here!! :lmao:

I am so impressed with everyone's weight loss efforts! I have lost more than 70 pounds doing WW over the past couple of years and working out. Now, the scale is totally STUCK! When I ordered my gown 5 1/2 weeks ago, I ordered it almost 2 sizes smaller than I would have needed if I were wearing it that day. I have just started working with a personal trainer and am not doing any endurance races (1/2 marathon or longer) until 2 days before the vow renewal, so I am hoping to focus totally on losing inches in time for when the gown arrives in October. And I am praying it will fit nearly perfectly. I wouldn't even want them to have to take it in.
