I am not a fan of Ultra either... maybe I am a closet drunk/guy too!I haven't tried Miller 64.
I do like Mich Ultra Amber, though, but it is a sneaky beer. It must have WAY more alcohol than a regular lite beer because 2 or 3 and it hammers me over the head.
I don't like Heineken or Beck's lights... they taste like beer-flavored selzer water.
Miller lite, Natural Light, Bud Select, are all okay I guess, but I would rather have a "real" beer and skimp the calories somewhere else.
I tried the Amber but I didn't like it as much as Ultra
Well shoot now I feel like maybe i'm the wimp since I like the watery not-to-much-beerish taste beer![]()
Can I watch you get hammered over the head![]()
Thanks for that link Joanne ! I see my Ultra is one of the lowest in the amount of alcohol, I can see why I can drink so much of it![]()
HAHA!! I told my husband that any youtube of this would result in door locks being changed...![]()
Joanne, did your waist trimmer belt arrive while you were away?
I have tried the Mich Ultra and such. I just keep thinking someone has put water in my beer....I like Sam Adams Light. I will have to check calories and such on that.
Yes, I did get it and used it Monday night, it felt good. Do you use it all the time?
I am curious to try the Miller 64 but haven't seen it available here yet.
I put it on before each workout, but sometimes I take it off if I get too hot.
Is this a 64 oz bottle instead of a 40 oz?! And Anita called me hard core!!
I have lost 52 pounds and am working hard to lose that excess skinI think the worst is my under arms, I do weights 2-3 times a week but seriously the flab just won't go away !!

I just happened to read your thread and thought I would quick post here because my arms are a problem area for me too. I saw you lift and do a lot of tricep extensions, but are you using a circuit or free weights?
The only reason I ask is because when I first started working out I was doing a circuit and kept increasing my weights as I got stronger. Then I tried a weight class at my gym called Body Pump. It's an hour long class where you use lighter weights, but do a lot of different moves to create longer leaner muscles. You don't have to take this class though to use some of the tips they teach.
One that might help you is to change up the speed when you're lifting. Instead of lifting at the same pace, try and lift at a slower 3 count and then lower at a one count...do this a couple times in a row, then do 2 counts up, 2 counts down a couple times and then go to singles. You can use these same techniques for any weight lifting, biceps, squats, etc....
Another move we do especially for the triceps are dips. You don't even need weights for this, you just use your own body weight. There are 2 versions. The more advanced version is to sit on something that's elevated off the floor, we use a step with 2/3 risers underneath, but you could probably use the stairs in your house. Place your hands behind your back on the step and then lower your body down and then back up. They are killer on your arms, but really work. If you're not strong enough for that you can do the modified version, which is to sit on the step with your arms behind your back resting on the step and then lean your body back and then up again. Again try and change up the tempo.
I hope these help. I haven't achieved the exercise addict phase like you, but I really enjoy working out and am amazed at how much better I am feeling.
So how long have you been on your weight loss journey and how's it going for you ?
I hhope everyone is doing well.![]()
You guys lost me on all that circuit and free weight talk.![]()
Well circuit weights are found at a health club and free weights are hand weights you can use at home, easy enough right![]()
Did you ever start doing any weights for your arms !? my arms look great when I pull the huge flap of flab back and under my arm pit![]()
yes, you are correct on your definitions of a circuit and free weights.
I did get a good laugh when I read your description of getting great looking arms...Don't we wish it was that easy! I also like to imagine what my stomach will look like after my "pooch" is gone. Since just cutting it off isn't an option, I will have to keep plugging away and doing my crunches. I may not ever have a 6-pack, I'll just be happy when my "keg" (okay, it's not that big, maybe more like a party ball, but you get the picture) is gone.![]()
I did want to tell you that I was able to increase my arm weights today in my weightlifting class. It was only for my bicep work and boy were they shaking near the end. I figure for my tri's I still need another week at my current weight, and then I should be able to do a 3lb increase. I know it doesn't sound like much, but when you're isolating the muscles, it's killer.
I lost 2 pounds this week !!!I am speechless, It feels wonderful to know that I have lost 55 pounds !!!
