What a great accomplishment :cheer2:

Hi All--

I haven't posted since the beginning of this thread, but I thought I would pop back in. I am struggling! Not with exercise...I am a fiend in that regard. I never blow off a work-out. I am still doing 90 minutes - 2 hours 5/6 days per week.

Monday was huge...I ran 9.3 miles (training for the Disney Half) and I played 90 minutes of tennis later in the day. It was something like 3:15 worth of exercise in one day. (And yeah, it about killed me.)

But my eating...! Argh! I am just eating way too much. Not a lot of junk...just too much. And for the life of me, I can't get it under control. I think that part of me just thinks that anyone who exercises as much as I do should be able to eat as much as they want. :confused3 And I can't shut that part of me up!

I only have 10-12 pounds to goal. Here are my before and "in progress" pics. I think my legs are more toned now...this was taken maybe two months ago? But my size is exactly the same.

Hi Disneykids!

I saw your picture on another thread. You look so fantastic!!!
I can't believe you still have 10 pounds to go!
I also love your hair. The lighter color and the weight loss looks very nice. :goodvibes

Your legs are even more toner? They look great there!!

Hi 3Disneykids ! first let me say you look fantastic !!!!!! your legs are definitely more toned !!! you should be very proud of yourself !!

I'm sorry you are having a hard time with your food and eating too much ! I know that on days when I exercise hard & for long periods, I get super hungry and tend to eat too much too !! it sucks !!! if you find a good solution, fill me in :rotfl:

OH and congrats on all that running !! good for you !!!

Thanks you guys! My hair is actually naturally lighter! lol I live on the coast and am outside a lot, so the sea air and sun really bleach me out. I think it is even lighter now. (And I had just gotten a HORRIBLE cut before that Disney trip in my "before" pic!)

You hit it, though...I exercise for a long period of time and then I am just ravenous and eat everything in my path for like an hour.

I have a running coach that I am going to meet with later this week and am going to ask about re-fueling during a work-out and seeing if the will help the post-workout binge. I will certainly share what he says. :goodvibes

You know you even look younger in that after pic :goodvibes

Hello! Hope I'm not intruding over here. I havent read the whole thread yet. Wasnt aware that you had started it... or maybe I just forgot!

Disneykids, I want to say that you are looking great! :teeth: I'm in the same boat as you! I've lost 16 lbs and tons of inches... but yet I'm still wearing the same size also. I havent really figured out what that is about yet. Hope that you're meeting will give you some insight on your after work-out binges.

Joanne, I cant believe that you are almost at your goal! WTG! I'm really proud of all the work you've done.

Anita, how are you doing in the flab department?

Oh... I forgot that I wanted to meantion that after working out my DH usually will have a protien shake and fish. Protien is good cause it helps with building muscles. Just a suggestion. ;)

It helps to hear everyones tips, ideas on losing -and keeping the weight off.

I can definitely see the difference in your entire body. You can tell you've lost weight and toned in your entire torso! Your arms look great and I can see it in your face/neck too.

Trust me, you notice a change all over...great job!

I agree with you that the workouts are the easy part, it's the food that gets me. I've been hovering at 30 pounds for 2 weeks and I know it's because lately I've been soooo hungry after my workouts. I've been trying to eat fruit and veggies after the gym, but they don't fill up my stomach as much as a bagel does..... :rotfl: go figure!

When did you start your program?

Hi Wendy ! ummm the flab.... well it's still there  I wish I could just take the scissors and cut it off !! I'm not too worried about it though, it took me alot of years to acquire that flab so it's going to take a while for me to get it off :rotfl:

As for protein shakes, no thanks !! unless it's from Dairy Queen and has whipped cream for a topping, well then it's not for me

How's everyone doing?

Anita, I agree with you on the Protein shakes.
I could never go on a Slim-Fast diet. Drinking a shake as a meal doesn't do it for me.
I need to eat and chomp down on food. :rotfl:

:rotfl: I agree ! I like to munch on food too, drinking something doesn't work for my cravings at all

I did good over the weekend ! I didn't even drink that much :rolleyes1

It doesnt work for everyone. I will say though he doesnt just have a shake. He eats fish with it as well. Kinda intresting I think. I dont really get as hungry after working out (even for 2 hours) like you all are describing. :confused3

Well, every body is different, maybe you aren't burning as many calories :confused3 I'm pretty sure running burns the most calories

How you doin?

Hungry, mad or are you her stalker

How you doin?
Grrrrrrr....

Ok, you totally made my day! :lmao: :goodvibes

I have seen your pics as well...and you have made fantastic progress! Are you following any specific program? Or just eating better and exercising?

Hey all!

Great day today in terms of food and exercise. I am really low for the day so far...850 cals. I will be up for several hours yet, so I am sure I will have something. Raw veggies maybe.

For working out--I ran 5 miles this morning and followed that with 15 minutes of core. I had a tennis match scheduled for this evening, but it got rained out. So I went to the gym and got in my boxing class that I love so much. I haven't done one in a couple of weeks, and I feel it! GREAT upper body work out.

So, why all of this renewed effort? Glad you asked. :lmao:

I have a new goal.

10 pounds off by Sept. 23 (that is 7 weeks away, FYI).

Now for most people, 10 pounds in 7 weeks is a reasonable goal. About 1.5 pounds per week. Manageable. For me, though, this is herculean. (cause, you know, I don't lose actual pounds :rotfl2: ...I lose inches, I look better, I fit in different size clothes, but the scale doesn't move!)

10 pounds will put me at goal. 125. (Oh, to see those 120s again! I am 5'2" by the way.) And Sept. 23rd is the goal date because...drum roll please....

I just booked a Disney trip! Yes, we are going in 7 weeks! WOO HOO.

I routinely check the air fare. And we have known for a while that we want to go this fall. So I have been checking air fare waiting for it to come down. And today it did! So I called DVC to see what was available other than SSR and OKW. And...get this...I GOT BCV!!!! At 7 weeks out, I got Beach Club!

So anyway...you have all seen my before picture. The one that made me run screaming to the WISH boards. That was taken with Figment (my fav. ). I am bound and determined to go back and have that picture taken again and just LOVE it. I can't even stand to look at it since I am so saddened with my appearance there. And it was the first time I had ever had my pic taken with Figment. So it really breaks my heart that I can't stand the picture. So that is my new motivation for the next several weeks.

I am feeling really energized and on it right now, but I have a lot of hurdles coming up. This coming Friday we head out on our boat for the week-end. DH and I always have wine each night and special food, and we take the kids to our family's favorite restaurant, etc. Then the next week-end is a big camping trip for 4 days. We always go with a whole group of people...and much of our activity centers around eating and drinking. I can manage the boat ok. But I am really going to have to think about camping. It is hard to bring tons of veggies camping (there is only so much cooler space, etc.). We totally rough it. Maine wilderness. No services. Just the woods. LOVE it. But it is going to make eating well difficult.

So, that is my news! SO much planning to do!
