Losing my fastpassed?? Help!

So I had 8 day tickets but yesterday we decided to lower the tickets to 5 day... I got an email saying they were going to cancel 3 days of my fastpasses??? So what do I do? Do I have to plan in advance what days I am going?? And do the days have to be consecutive?? I wanted to take a day off here and there.

Go in and Cancel out your AK day and two others. If you don't decide on which days to Cancel, the system cancels your last 3 days of FPs.

Flying by the seat of your pants would have been easier if you had kept the 8 day tickets. Personally, that's what I would have done. In the grand scheme of things, I think spending an extra $40 per person is worth the convenience.
