Losing for November 2011

Hope everyone has had a good week and those pounds are coming off :goodvibes

I lost 3lbs this week so that takes me to 67lbs lost so far and 2lbs past my 14lb mini goal! :woohoo: So now I'm going to set a new goal of 10 lbs before our Nov trip. We leave on the 3rd so that gives me 5 weeks and 4 days to get another 8lbs off!

Onward and downward for our Nov trips! :thumbsup2
 
I started in July and just to up the ante, I signed my entire family up for the Family Fun Run 5K taking place at the AK this Saturday. We've been training for that for 3 months. I'm down nearly 30 pounds (26 at last count) and feel fantastic. I can't wait to try out my new legs at the parks. I know I'll have more energy and endurance than previous trips.

I started out with the c25k program but hit a wall at week 3, regressed due to injury, then got back up to week 3 and again, had trouble. I found a book by writers at Runners World titled, Run Your Butt Off (RYBO) and absolutely love it. They advocate more of a steady run-walk interval. My C25K wk 3 has varying run interval times which I hate. So while C25K is fabulous, I found a program that works better for me.

I'm also logging my calories eaten and burned on My Fitness Pal.com-----LOVE IT.

And, I work out with a personal trainer 2x/week. My workouts with her are more about developing strength, balance and core work with a lot of pilates, balance ball, bosu ball and free weights. I don't burn many calories with her but I feel more steady on my feet thanks to her workout routines.

I only lost 1lb this week, so I now have 4 weeks today to lose 7lbs! Hopefully that is doable, but if not I'll take what I can get! :goodvibes

Just reporting in for this week! Hope everyone is doing well even though you're not posting! We're getting close now! :goodvibes

This week I lost another 3lbs that takes me to 71lbs lost and I think 20lbs since I first posted on this thread! :yay: :yay: I still have another 4lbs to lose to get to my 2nd mini goal!

Hi Everyone! I am very late to this thread... BUT, I have one month until our trip and I really, really, really want to lose 10 more lbs. before we go. I am hoping that posting here will keep me on that track!!

I lost 25 lbs by the middle of the summer and I have just been maintaining since then. In the big picture I would like to lose 20 more lbs. (Maybe by the end of the year?!?) I am hoping that the 10 lbs. is manageable, especially since I haven't been "dieting" for approx. two months.

So, we are leaving on Nov. 17th, and I just can't wait!!!


This is my plan for reaching my goal:
-Add 20 minutes daily on the eliptical that I NEVER use.:rolleyes1
-Add 2 miles to my daily walking schedule.
-Cut out my sandwich that I eat for lunch, and eat a salad instead.
-Stop eating at 7pm.

WOOHOO!! :yay::yay: I've just reached a total of 75 pounds lost and made my second mini goal, meaning I've lost 24 pounds since first posting on this thread. I'm not going to set any more mini goals as we only have 11 days before our trip :dance3: but I'm hoping to lose a few more pounds before we go.

I have been MIA because my motivation has been MIA but I've been back on track except I can't exercise because of a really bum foot that has me very worried about walking WDW for 10 day. :worried:

I won't make my mini-goal but I'll set another one and just keep trying!!

That is fantastic!!! You are going to enjoy WDW so much more, with 75 pounds gone.

What is your weight management plan once you get to WDW? Do you have one?

I ask b/c I am down over 30 pounds and we'll be arriving at WDW in less than 3 weeks. I am so excited and look forward to walking all day and night! I'm a little worried about eating and don't want to fall off track entirely since I have more weight to lose.

I figure that within reason I'm going to eat what I want. I doubt that I'll be able to eat a lot of junk food because I think that it'll upset my digestive system. I'm really not going to sweat it too much, I'll just get back on the healthy eating when I get home!

Wow! That is a huge accomplishment! 75 lbs really is a different body. Enjoy your trip. I'm sure that it will feel great to be on vacation having met your goals!!
 
I haven't really stuck to my plan to use my eliptical or add 2 extra miles on to my daily walk, but I have been watching what I eat. I have been cutting out snacks and have been eating more salads in place of meals. I still have 5 lbs to go, but I think that I can do that in the two weeks before I leave.

Boy, it is really hard to resist all of the halloween candy and treats that have been around for the past week or so. Hopefully I can stay strong throughout TOT tomorrow...and not get into my favorite mini candy bars!!

Wow it doesn't seem like 2 minutes since my last post and here I am back from our 19 day trip. I think I did pretty well overall. We were on the DDP and left with over 20 CS credits and most of them were mine! We obviously did lots of walking, but we tried to do extra, for example walking to the car instead of taking the tram. I did what I said I was going to do and just had what I fancied. If I wasn't hungry then I didn't eat or if I wanted a cupcake I just had one. I haven't weighed myself yet, but I flew home in the same jeans that I flew out in and they weren't tight! Anyway I hope all of you who are still there or are yet to go have a great time! :goodvibes
