Losing for November 2011

Hello Ladies! I'm not going to WDW but DLR in November. Hope you don't mind if I still join you? We'll be there from November 14th-18th.

My overall longterm goal is too lose 130 lbs. I'm down 11 lbs thus far. I want to loose another 20 lbs if possible by the time I leave for my trip.

Any weight I can take off before my trip is a plus.

We alternate our trips between WDW and DLR every other year, and I'm tired of being miserable and sore at the end of everynight. I also hate that I have to rest and sit often while walking around because I'm so out of shape..... Not to mention worrying if I'm going to fit comfortably on all the rides. :confused3 It's so embarassing.

I hate that I've let my weight get so out of control. My DH and I got married at WDW back in 2001 and it was AMAZING. I've gained over 100 lbs since then. :scared1:

I hope we all are successful before our trips. I'm looking forward to it. :goodvibes

Nice to have you here and of course you are welcome to join us!!! Your goal is very similar to mine and I REALLY know how you feel about worrying over the rides. My DD8 finally wanted to go on a roller coaster last Sept and my husband doesn't ride them. I love them but was so worried I wouldn't fit on Everest. Thankfully I did but it was an eyeopener. My youngest DD3 is going to be the no-fear child so I feel like I really have to get my body in shape for the day when she will want to try everything!

Keep up the great work!!!

I decided to take a weekend "off" and now I'm up late on Sun nite hating myself for it. Luckily I do have a water sitting next to me and not a bag of chips. I was down 19.5 lbs Friday morning and feeling awesome. But I had to chaperone a sleepover with 25 girls at a dance studio and was up until 2 surrounded by pizza and snacks galore. Sat was supposed to be a run day for me but I was too beat and this morning we were still feeling Irene so I didn't get out or to the Y like I should have. And I did not keep my eating in check while choosing things like Italian subs and Chik Fil A for lunch so I'm expecting to see 5 more lbs tomorrow morning.

At least it will provide me motivation for tomorrow morning's run but I'm sad I was so close to 20lbs and blew it...for now. Lesson learned!!

I have been doing OK, not great, down about 4 pounds, counting down the days until my DD goes back to school, so I can get to the gym everyday. :thumbsup2

4 lbs lost is MUCH better than the 6.5 I gained over the weekend!!!! :scared1:

LESSON SOOOOOOOO LEARNED!!!

I'm hoping it's a lot of "water weight" but it was a GREAT motivator this morning for my 1st run in 3 days. I ran all 25 minutes with one thought on my mind...those awful 6.5 lbs.

Today, I'm back to using my iPhone app (My Net Diary) to track everything I put in my mouth and make sure to stay in my calories.

Ugghh...all that progress wiped out over three days and nights. :guilty:

I've had a week of work, so I figured that because my job is very physical I wouldn't lose very much this week. However I decided at the beginning of the week that I was going to up my water intake and pretty much leave out the diet soda. When I got on the scale on Sun I was down 9lbs. I couldn't believe I even got of the scale and got back on just to make sure that it wasn't some sort of glitch!! Anyway needless to say I'm now sold on drinking plenty of water! When I first posted on this thread I said that I was hoping to lose another 14lbs before our Nov trip anyway I've already managed to lose it!:banana: So I'm going to set myself another goal. We've got just over 9 weeks before we leave so I'm hoping to lose another 10lbs by then!

You all inspire me to keep sticking to it, :worship: so I'm sure that we'll all get to the goal that we've set ourselves by the time Nov rolls around!! :goodvibes

Thanks for having me. :goodvibes I've been doing SOOOOO well with my diet and I blew it today. :( I'm so bummed. I know the reason I did it, but it's no excuse. I've hit a plateau and haven’t' been able to break it. I've kept true to my diet and haven't lost anything so I sorta just gave up for the day and decided to eat what "I WANTED" regardless of the consequences. I had Jury duty today too, and that stressed me out and caused me to eat as well. I'm scared to get on the scale tomorrow. But boy were my Cheese Enchiladas yummy!!!

I'll get back on track tomorrow and put it behind me.
:rolleyes1

You inspire me. I can't believe how much weight you have lost. That's amazing!!! Congratulations.

I know you can loose 10lbs in 9 weeks! :thumbsup2

I didn't know which W.I.S.H thread to post on for my weight loss journey. So I decided on this one due to the fact that I'm going on a trip in November and one other thread. Below is what I posted on there, thought I would post it here too, to give you a little more insight on me and my goals. I look forward to getting to know you all a little better.

Hello.:wave2:

My name is Deanna. I’m a 33 year old Stay at Home Mom living in Lakewood Colorado. I have two beautiful children. Reya is 5 years old ((Started Kindergarten last week)) and Jayden is 21 months old. My DH and I just celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary in June. He’s a wonderful husband and father who works hard as an investment broker so that I’m able to stay at home and raise our children. Money is tight with us only having one income, be we manage to make it work to the best of our ability.

I’m thrilled that I found this thread and am hopeful that I will make some new friends who can keep me on track and motivate me to a better life.
:grouphug:
Loosing weight for me isn’t just about a number on a scale, but a BUNCH of different things. I probably have a list of several hundred reasons why I need and want to loose weight. Both BIG and small.

In time as I get to know some of you maybe I’ll be able to get more personal with my weight problem issues and history. ;)

In the meantime here’s my goals/plan

My LONGTERM goal is to loose 120-130 lbs. Yep!!!!! THAT IS A LOT!!!!!!!! :scared1: I need as much help and support as I can get.

My first goal is to loose a minimum of 30 lbs before I leave on my trip to DLR in November. ((If you’re bored check out my PTR. The picture I have posted of myself on my PTR is not the most recent. It was taken on my last DLR trip. That is what I want to look like when I return to DLR!!) :thumbsup2

ANYWAY………

I have already lost 10 of those 30 lbs and have another 20 to go. If it’s at all possible for me to loose more weight I will be ecstatic, but for the time being I’m happy with 20. My knees and feet will be thanking me. :worship: I hate the way I feel after walking around the parks all day. My whole body hurts because of all the extra weight I have to carry around.. I’m hoping to return to WDW sometime in 2012 with a whole new body.

AUGUST/SETPEMBER PLAN to loose 10 LBS. (MIN.)

1. Walk. Starting this week. I will start out at 10 minutes and work my way up. Every week I’ll up it another 2minutes.
**this might not seem like a lot to some people, but it’s HUGE for me. I get ZERO exercise right now. :rolleyes1
2. Drink Water
** I drink almost NO water. I will also have to work my way up to 8 glasses a day.
3. Stop Drinking Soda :drinking1
**I’m a BIG soda drinker. 4-5 sodas a day. I’ve cut it down to two DIET sodas a day.
4. Diet
Fruits, Veggies, Lean Meats
5. Stretch
6. Take my Vitamins
7. Don’t eat after 5:30 PM
8. NO Junk Food
9. Make a Journal everyday, and remind myself each day of different reasons WHY I want to loose weight.

Today’s Reason:::::: I want to go to the park and play with my kids on the playground. I don’t want to be out of breath and embarrassed I’m going to break something. :rolleyes1

Well that’s it for now. I hope I get to know some of you and we can help each other succeed. I’m looking forward to loosing weight and getting healthy.

Thanks. :hippie:

Anyone out there trying to lose some weight for an upcoming WDW trip in Nov?

I am! My goal is 25 lbs by my Nov 3 arrival. I started one month ago and am down 11 lbs to date. This is part of a bigger goal of losing more than 100 lbs but I'm trying to do it within smaller incremental goals like this first 25. :)

Hi everyone.

Just needed to share...

Five runs away from completing C25K within 9 weeks and I have gotten doctor's orders to take a break.

Yes, where C25K failed to break me, an inflammation in a joint on the top of my foot has. I've been running despite it and was taking prednisone which worked really well for a couple of weeks. Unfortunately, last Friday the pain came back and I headed to my podiatrist again today. He has been so encouraging and knows how motivated I am to run but he finally had to tell me to take it easy. He gave me a cortisone shot and wrapped my foot for 7-10 days. The foot hurts worse than EVER right now because of the shot and I'm just praying it settles down soon.

The pain was getting so bad even when I walked, I was beginning to worry about our upcoming 10-day WDW trip in two months. I know what taking a break is the best thing right now but I can't help feeling a real lost in not reaching this goal. I keep telling myself there will be another day because this pain WILL go away but it still feels sucky right now. :sad1:

I'm down 18 lbs since July 7th and am happy about that BUT worried because now I REALLY have to watch what I eat! That is not so easy for me...I would rather run in the morning or walk up the 4 flights of stairs at work. Now I can't! Ugh.

I woman with a plan...LOVE IT!!! :thumbsup2

I had a total of 125 to loose and am down 18lbs so I understand your longterm goal since mine is similar. I love that you are doing this for reasons like mine...being able to play with your kids, walking the parks without feeling bad, etc. My big one was walking up my stairs without sounding like I needed a defibulator!

I think that I was right in thinking that there was some sort of glitch with the scale last week! Either that or a put 5lbs on this week! :scared1: I don't believe that I have! Anyway I'm now still working on my original goal of 14lbs and I have another 5lbs to go!

Hope that everyone is going well and the lbs are coming off. Have a good week everyone :grouphug:

I am doing better did my first workout yesterday and my trainer weighted me and I lost 2 lbs making it 28 lbs lost total :) and also I decided that with my weight loss I am going to do a 5k run on oct 9 I have never done a run and would love to say I did a race :)

Sorry I haven't been on in awhile. Since my running has been put on a dr-ordered hiatus, I've been sliding backwards! It's sooooooo easy to fall into old habits and excuses. I'm hoping by actually writing it down and seeing it in black-and-white, this will be the slap I need to snap out of my funk and get back into the groove!

How's everyone else doing??? November will be here before we know it!

You can do it!! :thumbsup2 We're all with you willing you on!! :goodvibes:grouphug: My biggest downfall is that I don't really exercise ( I know it's an excuse but I'm on my feet at the hospital 10 hours, so by the time I get home I'm really tires) so I have to be extra careful with what I'm eating. If you're not using the time to run why don't you use it to post on here and we can support you until you're able to run again!

I'm down a total of 62lbs! That makes it 11 lbs since I first posted on this thread. So I have another 3lbs to go to get down to my mini goal!

Hope that everyone has a good week! :grouphug:

Hello ladies. Sorry haven't been on in awhile. Been busy trying to enjoy the weather before it goes down-hill. I'm happy to report that I'm down 18 lbs now! It's been hard, but it will be worth it in the end! Congratulations to all of those who have been doing so well and have been reaching your goals!

How's everyone doing? I lost another 2lbs this week, so I have 1lb left to go before I reach my mini goal of 14lbs before 11/3. I have lost a total of 64lbs so far!

I hope all of you guys are still losing and are getting toward your own mini goals. Hope that you all have a good week! :thumbsup2 :grouphug:
