LOSE BEFORE YOU CRUISE - Support Thread for all Cruisers

Hello everyone! I am cruising April 9 2016 and hoping to lose a good chunk of weight. I could afford to lose 70lbs. Having some health issues which motivates me even more but also makes it a challenge to stay on track. I don't plan on weighing myself for a bit because I tend to get discouraged when it doesn't come off fast enough so I am going to wait a while until I can feel a difference in my clothes. Going at it a different way this time. can't wait to get to know everyone.
 
Welcome 5xdisnefans, you've taken the first step with your post! And I agree with the not weighing yourself. Take measurements if you want (arms, legs, waist, hips) or stick with the 'difference in your clothes'. I find the scale intimidating and a source of stress for me so I removed it.
 
Ok I need some input and some advice. I know I shouldn't care but I do and I always have. Very self concious and not happy with the way I look. It looks like we may be having two people joining us for our WDW trip in the fall and maybe also on our cruise next April. I don't know them very well but my sister does. From all my discussions and observations the one person (adult) has a very strong/negative thoughts on "fat" people. Our trip in the fall we decided to add the waterpark package to our tickets because we have never been before. This was before the other people we added to our trip. I am already nervous about wearing a bathing suit all day with my family and strangers. I always have hopes of losing weight before trips but never seem to reach my goals. Once again have set a realistic goal for both trips and working towards it. How the heck can I be ok with being around this person not worry about it until we go. I know it is their problem not mine but I have been unhappy with my body for a long time and can't just flick a switch to change it. My sister has been thin her whole life and I don't think she knows the things they say is very judgemental and negative towards "fat" people.

I know how it feels to be uncomfortable with your body. I don't want to go on a cruise the way I am now. For me, it's motivating me to cut calories and increase movement. Thankfully my mom is on the same ship with me and we're on this journey together. We will also be on the Dream together :) LOL. Just know that the people who look like they don't care about their body shape are not worried about you. They are only worried about the way they look.
 

BTW, I'm Holly and I'm hoping to lose 30 pounds in 6 months by reducing calorie intake and increasing movement. I have every hope that it can be done!

I am Carly and I am cruising with all people that have no weight to lose so it could help my motivation or maybe not :/ Going to get organized and get on track. Started planning my workouts and hope to start running again soon.
 
I'm on day 87 of the bikini body mommy 3.0 workout! Once I get to day 90 I will concentrate on running until May 4 when bbm 4.0 starts. I would like to lost 30ish pounds by our cruise next year!

Did you start at the first one or just start at the 3.0? I was just looking at it looks pretty neat. Is there an app for it also?

I only started at 3.0. No app that I know of. The videos were on youtube. I love it. I have truly seen results which is hard to wrap my brain around because I'm not spending hours at the gym! It's an intense workout, but wow! Also, I've noticed the better I do focusing on good nutrition, the better results I see (duh..I know, but it was a struggle in the beginning).
 
I saw my scale go down this morning and it encouraged me! It's going to be a good day!

I know weekends are my hardest time. I have to go to the store to get some appropriate food for the weekend.

I try to stay within my nutrition goals on myfitnesspal. I've been just following bbm so I usually workout each day. My last day for 3.0 is Saturday! So Sunday will be my rest day. Then Monday I will start running 3-5 a day. Just until I run/walk the 1/2 marathon coming up in May.
 
BiehlFam are you able to use the community on the BBM website? I wasn't able too and also am not able to find the blueprint book anywhere? I am going to start in the next week or so. I think I may start at the first one since I have alot of weight to lose I will just work my way through them. So glad you joined this chat because I was just looking for a easy to follow but challenging workout plan. Thanks

I didn't try the community! I had 3 friends who did it with me and we texted each other workout pics and such for accountability. I just wrote my stuff down in a regular notebook. Each day's workout had pictures and explanations of what to do so I would just write it down ahead of time!

I just finished day 90 today!!! I heard her first two bbm series aren't as good as the third because it wasn't until the third that she did warm ups and cool downs and had a timer on it. The 4th series starts May 4. I think if you start with 3 you'd be really pleased!

Weekends are rough...tomorrow is a new day!! End today on a good note..something that will lead you into tomorrow feeling better...I know my sugar intake has been too high the last two days and I am feeling it.
