I see my clothes fitting differently, but the darn scale isn't moving.:confused3

Pay more attention to your clothes than your scale... muscle is more dense and as such, weighs more than fat. You are toning up (which is why your clothes are fitting differently - KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!

DBF has gotten me on super foods and fiber, fiber, fiber. You will feel great and have more energy - now if i could only get it together to exercise! I DID buy a hula hoop to work my core, but haven't done it much as I can only go one way :upsidedow

Thanks rantnnravin! I will keep positive. I need to add more fiber to my diet and cut out sugars. A great core exercise is a belly dancing DVD. I need to dig mine out myself:)

Good luck everybody this week with your goals and keep moving:yay:

Tomorrow I will check my +/- as I promised my self to only wiegh on Mondays!

I have been using my Wii at least 2/3 times a week, plus walking while DD learns to ride her bike..another 20+ minutes a few times a week! fingers crossed..

My goals is -20 by November, so I think with moderate eating and steady activity it can be done!

well...I cheated a bit..I weighed today....
-4.6lbs first week!!! YAY!!!!

What a great idea! I'm a fitness instructor (yoga, step, weight lifting, dance, etc.) and I always stress out on cruises because I'm not a big eater, but then I do eat, and it stresses me out because I don't feel good. I want to drop before the cruise so I don't have to worry, and I want to work out on the cruise. I love working out but I haven't been good at working out onthe ship because I'm so busy playing and making excuses!

I 'd love to have a group of friends to meet with to run, work out, do yoga, etc. I know they have the classes on board, but quite frankly they aren't that great and it would be much more fun to do yoga or run on the beach at a time that is convenient for us, not when it is scheduled.

Let me know if you want to work out on board!

I lost another .4! 5 lbs (+2)=7 total! YAY
We are all doing a great job!!!

I just finished a 30 minute run on the treadmill:cool1: Now to just keep it up!

I can do it with you all cheering me on:cheer2: Keep it up gang!

lost another 2lbs at weigh in....
5lbs total, 21 to go. <sigh>

Going to Tenerife in 3 weeks, wondering how I will fare with the buffet at the resort.
I know I can get fish/chicken from the grill, but you never know how they prepare the veg (i.e, how much oil they use, etc)

Well me and my DH have til Nov to get trim for our cruise. We really want to lose a good amount of weight this year to look and feel good on our cruise. And then to gain it all back eating all the yummy food on board we can get our hands on.
We did South Beach before, a couple times, it does work in the beginning but I truly find it unrealistic to maintain. This time we just plan on eating more healthy, using a page from Weight Watchers, more about portion control than anything and of course we NEED to exercise. Gonna be tough. Hehe

Hi everyone! We're cruising in October and I would like to lose 20-25 lbs by then. My plan is to eat only fruit and vegetables for breakfast, lunch and snacks, then have a "sensible" dinner. I'm also doing Wii Fit Plus and hula hooping for exercise. I'm trying to fit in walking on the beach too, but it never seems to fit into my schedule.

Are there any rules I need to know to join this thread?

There have been a ton of great weight loss suggestions and plans on this thread!!

I just wanted to post and let yall know what has worked for me.

I have lost 150 pounds over the last 2 years and what i have done is a "diet" to increase my metabolisim.

I eat several times a day throughout the day and i eat my big meal around lunch time. My doctors have advised me that this helps my body keep burning the calories through out the day. It can and does feel like you are eating all the time but it works.

Now i dont pig out on sweets and so forth i eat fruits and nuts and healthy meals i make sure i eat the 3 main meals of the day but inbetween i will eat a good size "snack".

I also walk at least 30 minutes 3 to 4 times a week, more if i get the chance and this has helped me loose the weight steady.

This might not work for everyone but i do know it has worked for me.

When i am on the cruise's i do not follow this cause well you eat like crazy anyways LOL but i do try and walk around the boat and the outside decks as much as possible.

Happy cruisin everyone!!

WOW Lori that's amazing! CONGRATULATIONS!

I am getting very frustrated with my weight loss... :sad2: I know that I could/should be doing better with my diet, but I am working out 5 days a week and even though I am feeling like my clothes are looser and can see a little difference in my face - the scale is NOT moving.

I do a pretty intense Zumba class 2x a week for 45 minutes and 2x a week for 1 hour. For my 5th day I am either doing an elliptical/circut training routine or swimming.

I just don't get it. My diet's not great - but seriously??! It's not like I'm eating pizza and fries every day.

UGH!

Thanks for listening. :flower3: :upsidedow

We are going on our first Disney cruise March 13, 2012 and can't wait!!! My husband and I have been doing Weight Watchers since October and we've both lost almost 25 pounds so far. I'm trying so hard to get under 200 but each weigh in the past few weeks i've gained(my mom was in town) and then i'll lose 2 pounds the next week, so frustrating but we're not giving up because by the time we cruise I should be at my goal weight! I love this program, now if I would just work out more than a couple times a week. We did start kickboxing and loving it so we'll see. Good luck to everyone on your weight loss journey and Happy Cruising :cheer2:

Subbing. I have lost 5 so far and plan to lose 45 more at least between now and Oct. I love walking outside but since I live in CO I can't walk in the winter. Will start hopefully in April. I have the 5 factor fitness book which is a 25 min 5 days a week program using hand weights. I also have an eliptical and a total gym at home to use. I have a Wii with Wii Fit plus, Biggest Loser and Gold gyms dance workout. I switch off using these each weekend. Hopefully my plan will work out. I eat 5 or 6 times a day and have been eating lots of fruit and veggies. Good luck to all!:cool1::thumbsup2

I'm right there with you both! Just lost 5 pounds since Monday!!! Walking 2-4 miles a day, aerobics 3x a week and strength training (push ups and stuff like that mostly, not weights) 3x a week...here's my diet...

5 meals a day...
Breakfast, one protein one whole grain one fruit/veg
Snack, one fruit, one protein (1/2 apple and handful of nuts or cheese stick)
Lunch, one protein, one vegetable, one grain
Snack same as above
Dinner one protein, two veggies

smaller portions but as long as I get that small snack in I eat much smaller main meals!! Hope to keep it up!!
