Lose 1 Stone For Christmas Challenge!!

Hi all!! :wave2:
are you all ready for this ?? sure we can all lose that stone!! and i know you will give it a good try Diana ;) :wizard: :wizard:
if anyone else would like to join in with our challenge,please do :flower:
Just weigh yourself once a week on your chosen day, and post the results on here :banana:
if anyone has any hints or tips please share them with us!
mine are , drink plenty of water, the colder the better as your body has to work much harder to keep your body temp up and so you do burn a bit more off!
Try not to eat after 8pm. or 7pm if you can :teeth:

I had decided that today, Monday I wa going to start a diet, not only for Christmas but also for my Disney holiday next April had told myself a stone by Christmas and then a stone by April (2 stone)

I am pretty new to this website and posted a thread on the other forum yesterday came on this morning to see if I had any replies and saw your thread have decided that it is fate I must be meant to lose those 2 stone

so there you go one very encouraged newbie !

OK - I've weighed this morning so let's see what happens by this time next week (by which time I'll have been out for my DH's birthday meal but will also have walked the 10km Walk for Life which should help balance out the extra calories in the meal out)!!
 
Well i've weighed myself this morning, so fingers crossed iwill have lost some by next week, i've stayed the same since end of august but i've been lazy and haven't done much exercise.
 
Well, I have weighed myself and actually set myself the personal challenge of 1 stone 4lbs (because that'll bring me down to 11st), but officially I'll be happy with just losing 1 stone!

Go on then, count me in - I was supposed to start my diet again as soon as we got back but have managed to find lots of excuses not to. I will weigh myself now and make my weigh-in day a Monday (less likely to cheat over the weekend then).

My tips are to drink plenty of water, eat small meals spread throughout the day and don't eat carbs after 7 pm.
 
Ok, Im onboard, have weighed this morning and ready to go.

Does this business of not eating late make a real difference? I often have my evening meal really late - 10pm sometimes so I don't go to bed starving but if it's slowing things down I'll eat earlier.
 
Weighed myself a couple of hours ago, and my target for this time next week a loss of 2 lbs! :)

Di, it does make a difference, purely because you're eating and then not burning many calories as you're just stting around/sleeping. It's not so bad if you're eating salad and stuff like that but carbs obviously don't break down so quickly so will sit longer, therefore turning into fat (think that's how it works anyway :confused3 )

Thanks Joh - that does make sense! I'll try it and maybe just have fruit or a drink later in the evening if my stomach's making too many loud noises!!!! :rotfl:

i usually get weighed on a wednesday, so this weeks weigh in at ww i wont count towards my stone,(thats if i have lost anything!) so i'll be on an even keel with you guys.my first weigh in will be next week for this challenge

Count me in then, but I don't think I have a stone to lose, but DH challenged me to lose half a stone before Xmas, so can I join in but with only half a stone to lose?
I will have to start tomorrow though as I am eating peanuts at the mo and am going to my parents for dinner tonight so I don't know what she might have cooked me!
