Loosing my mind about eggs?

Ok, I am at the PORiverside right now. This morning I sent my hubby to go get me a plate of eggs and bacon for breakfast. He spoke with Chef Page who informed him that the eggs that that are premixed, used for everyone, is dairy free!

I have been to Disney twice a year for the past 4 years and everywhere else (even on this trip) they have to make the eggs special order, because the mass mix has milk. Can somebody please tell me has Disney changed the egg mix to not include dairy or after a long discussion with my husband, we received the brush off from the chef? I didn't eat them because I was fearful of an allergic reaction and I wil report this chef as he was incredibly rude to my husband (he told me) because he could seriously hurt somebody.

DD is dairyfree and has always been told the premade or "regular" eggs were not safe. That being said Disney IS making a lot of changes. But I doubt the general public is going to want to eat milk free eggs. It is very possible there will be a different chef on duty tomorrow. Maybe ask again?

Just sent the hubby down for round two of eggs without milk! I'll let you know!

Do they keep eggs for the purpose of making a special order or do they only get the pre-mixed eggs? I would also ask to speak with another chef at some point today about what's being served.

At the Pop last fall the chef went back and made me a separate plate of scrambled eggs because the regular ones had dairy in them. Ask to see the label for the eggs just to be sure. It isn't worth the risk.
Unfortunately not all chefs are as cooperative as they should be. Love the one that informed me that a Rice Krispie Treat was a acceptable dessert for a diabetic. No I didn't eat it.

Well, the hubby returned with DAIRY FREE EGGS! This Chef said the "global mix" of course! has dairy in it, all the chefs at this resort use this mix. He said that for dairy free, they usually crack a few eggs and cook them in a separate pan. (as I have seen it done at Crystal Palace and most quick service places) Furthermore, he went to state that even if the "global mix" didn't have dairy in it, he would have to use a separate pan and utensil to avoid cross contamination. He was kind enough to give me the number to Special Diets and I spoke with a lovely woman Rachel who also told me the same of the cross contamination and how this was a HUGE safety issue for Disney. She said obviously some updated training was needed and would send a "message to the team". How kind everyone was today, boy what a day makes!

My understanding was always that they buy giant bags of premixed eggs that are literally just eggs that are thoroughly mixed and that they add milk before cooking. When making allergy eggs, they just get some of the premixed egg directly from the bag and cook them in a separate pan. I haven't gotten sick from them but DD11 doesn't like the taste. They do taste different than freshly scrambled eggs. I guess it's some kind of preservative or emulsifier that changes the taste? Chefs whom I trust have made the eggs for me. They do also have fresh eggs they can cook for you which DD11 has asked for because of the difference in taste.
