I know a lot of you have been to Vegas and I was looking for some cool places to eat during our upcoming trip. I'm looking for places you would only find in Vegas, strange places. LOL

Any help you can give me would be great! Thanks in advance!

Not sure what you are looking for but my kids enjoyed a place owed by Steven Stelberg(SP?). It felt like you were under water. The windows were portholes and they had movies of underwater themes in them. I'm sorry I can't remember the place but it was near the fashion Mall. Oh it sold burgers and great fries! Gina

Closed down.

Some of my favorites:

Emeril's New Orleans Fish House at the MGM Grand. It was absolutely fantastic. It's expensive but worth every penny.

Grand Luxe Cafe at the Venetian is owned by the Cheesecake Factory, and has good food, huge portions and a reasonable price.

Olives at the Bellagio was also very good. Very expensive though.

My favorite cheap lunch was at Tequilas (or Tequila Bar?) at Bally's. Fantastic nachos or fajitas and the biggest, most diverse collection of flavored margaritas I have ever seen. Very inexpensive too.

The Eiffel Tower restaurant at Paris was also very good and the view was incredible.

There is also an Italian restaurant at Paris, but I can't remember the name. It had excellent food, and I remember it being very reasonable.

The buffet at Paris for breakfast is not to be believed. The crepes are outstanding. If you eat there don't plan on eating again for the rest of the day. The dinner buffet also has crab legs that are very good. They are split open for you so there's hardly any work involved in eating them.

If you have any specific interests, let me know and I'll try to come up with more places.

Off the beaten path, and not for everybody, Lotus of Siam. Frequently considered some of the best Thai food in the United States, it is made exactly like you would have it in Thailand. It is not Americanized Thai.

And it is VERY reasonably priced.

Try the Aureole inside Mandalay Bay. It is an upscale french/american restaurant with a four story glassed in wine tower/cellar that harness clad 'wine angels' ascend and repel to fetch your bottle. One of the most photographed spots in Vegas.

Or the Voodoo Lounge at the ROOF of the Rio.

Top of the world at Stratosphere (a bit pricey) but amazing views.

The Star Trek restuarant in Las Vegas Hilton - out of this world - literally!!

I liked the BIG kitchen at Bally's?. It buffet with all differant kinds of foods from around the world.

Wow! Thanks for all the great suggestions! Keep um coming!!

I'm gonna start looking in to the places suggested so far, thanks everybody!!!!!

My husband rather enjoyed Isla Mexican Kitchen & Tequila Bar at TI. Something to do with the Tequila Goddess. :rotfl:

Postrio's at the Venetian had fabulous service and very good food.

Just got back last Friday!

We really, really loved the America restaurant at NYNY--it was a pretty casual spot, not quite a coffee shop, but not really like their other sit-down places. They had a huge menu of all sorts of food from different parts of the US and it was all great. They also have this huge sculpture-type thing of the lower 48 states suspended from the ceiling. It's really fun to look at while you're waiting for your food.

We loved the La Creperie at Paris--fabulous crepes, both sweet and savory.

We thought the Flamingo buffet was really tasty and a great value. We got a window seat overlooking their flamingo habitat.

We had an awesome lunch at Top of the World at Stratosphere. The day view was really neat and our lunch was very good and very reasonable. If you dine there you get free access to the observation deck. They offer dinner, and I'm sure the lights are incredible, but they enforce an informal dress code for dinner and we didn't have the right clothes.

There was also a sandwich shop at MGM called WichCraft which was very tasty--kind of like Earl of Sandwich.

If you have any Star Trek fans in your group, Quarks at the Hilton was a lot of fun. It was overpriced, but you're paying for the atmosphere.

Hope you have fun!

We made reservations for the Top of the World for next month. Going to do dinner to see the lights. Have wanted to do this for a long time, so this year is the year!

Have a great time.

That place looks awesome! DH Loves spicy food, I think we'll definitely have to check it out, Thanks! :cool1:

We ate at a German Beer Hall - can't remember the name but it is close to the Hard Rock Hotel (we walked from there). The atmosphere was awesome with great entertainment. The food was good too.

Also recommend:

Spice Market Buffet at Aladdin
Rum Jungle at Mandalay Bay
Chinese place at Caesar's Forum Shops

Those places sound great! I love margaritas! I checked out the menu on line and think we will definitely go there! I wasn't aware that Paris had a breakfast buffet, thanks for the heads up, I love crepes!

Thank you so much for your help! :cool1:
