We used the spiral cutout from this thread, placed it on the washed black shirt, and used Elmers glue to create the outline. After the glue dried, we sprayed the color Textured White from the brand Stencil Spray (sold at both Michaels and JoAnns) over the dried glue and a little beyond the outline. We let this dry about an hour and them came back with the "colors" spritzing one color at a time in a random pattern. The colors we used were from the Tulip Spray 4 pack with the neon colors of pink, orange, yellow, green. This is also sold at Michaels and JoAnns. We let this dry 3 days and washed.
Tips/Notes: If using the Stencil Spray, dont pull the trigger too hard. If you do, it will stop spraying and you will have a full can of paint with no way to spray. There are directions on the website to engage the trigger again, but this didnt work for us. Before buying 6 shirts, we tested this on an old black shirt we had. When we washed the shirt, the washable Elmers glue did not come out for us
we had to pick it off. When doing these shirts, I soaked the shirts in cold water for an hour, took our finger nails, and pushed off the glue, then washed.
