Hey everyone! I'm on the hunt for the 'prefect travel purse'. My husband, myself, and our toddler son will be going to Disney in September. Looking for a bag that travels well, with enough room for my things as well as a few things of my sons. And a bag that I won't be afraid to get a little dirty! All of my bags are Coach, so I don't think taking them to Disney is a good idea. This bag/purse will most likely not be taken into the park (we are taking a backpack 'park bag'). I've been looking into Vera Bradley and alot of the totes seem very functional! If anyone has a great purse /bag they travel with, or if you have any suggestions, I would love to hear them!! Thanks

Hello - I purchase a mini back pack from Victoria Secrets for my DD.. Spray it down with scotch guard and your are on your way.....VS has very cute ones...:thumbsup2

I have a few bags that I like to take to Disney. The ebags Piazza day bag is a nice cross body bag. I believe its nylon so its easy to wash. It has lots of pockets and can fit a lot of stuff. I did find that if I wasn't careful it became pretty heave to carry around all day. I also have the vera bradley little hipster which I love. It is really light weight and is big enough to hold the essentials that I would want to keep close to me. Plus it has a built in wallet so that eliminates one item I need to carry. I usually keep any valuables we have in it like a camera, a small pack of wipes and a small sunscreen etc. In this case I also use the bagallini messenger sling which I would fill with a change of clothes for my DD, extra sunscreen and anything else we might need in the park and leave it in the bottom of the stroller.

For our trip this year @ WDW I got the Vera Bradley Mickey backpack. I like it for both the plane and the parks because you don't have to carry it. OUr last couple of trips to Disneyland and WDW I've always used some sort of backpack/purse. Not something you'd use for hiking. More style for us girls! My sister likes those Travelon bags that are sold on QVC. You might want to check them out.

Overland Equipment makes some really great park bags. The Donner Bag is a good one. Has water bottle holders on either side but appears slim and not bulky. I always kept a water bottle on side and an umbrella on the other. There are some smaller bags...the Overland Pacer is a good one. These are all bags meant for travel so they are very durable. Sherpani also makes great travel purses as well.

I use a Patagonia Atom Sling pack for the parks. Lightweight but carries quite a bit. I also like my small backpack from Vera Bradley. :thumbsup2

When it's just myself and my best friend I do a Vera Bradley hipster - it's lightweight, easily washed, and carries a lot.

When I was a chaperone for a school trip (high school students) and needed to be able to carry a bunch of other stuff I used a Vera Bradley backpack. It has the same qualities as the hipster but it's also go the outer spaces for water bottles and is really comfortable on your back all day.

I second the Overland Donner bag. I am normally a Coach gal myself but purchased this for our trip last year and it was perfect. I loved having the two water bottle holders. It is lightweight, large enough without being too huge, and the strap is wide enough that is doesn't cut into your shoulder throughout the day. I will be carrying again during my trip in two weeks.

Another fan of the Overland Equipment bags here! DD15 and I like the Donner, the Bayless, and the Pixley. I also use a Patagonia Atom but it has recently been replaced by the Haiku Sling Bag which will be my go-to summer travel bag.

Just used a Baggallini Messenger Bagg for the first time in February, and just loved it! It holds a surprising amount of stuff, much more than I thought it would. Plus it has lots of compartments to keep your things organized, and has exterior pockets for your cell phone and water bottle.

I highly recommend this bag!

Does anyone know if the Donner bag would be good for my DSL camera? I am looking for a crossbody bag, that is one compartment that I can quickly drop in or pull out my camera. I dont need to have it for organizational things. Just mainly my camera. Was wondering if the bag is too small, too big, not deep enough, etc... This is one of the hardest finds I have been searching for.

I've used an assortment of Vera Bradley bags - usually the small backpack or the mini-hipster. This year I think I'm going to take a larger crossbody, so it can also be a lightweight diaper bag.

We have the Donner... which DSLR and lens are you looking to fit in??
