Where can I can the most information on DVC. I'm talking the facts: How much. What is involved and anything else. We are going next month and I would like to have as much info as possible if I can get DH to go up to the DVC booth. If I am knowledgeable about DVC I think I can get him up there! Wish me luck!

The boards here are a wealth of information. If you have specific questions, just post them and someone will normally answer right away.

I would suggest that you be pretty certain that you want to buy into DVC before taking an onsite tour. Once you tour, you only have 3 days after you return home to buy with the current incentives.

Also, Disney is only currently selling SSR, so check out the resale market on sold out resorts. If you think you may be interested in buying OKW, BWV, BCV or VWL, try to visit those places while you are there.

I actually liked the look of SSR. It seems more relaxed and away from the craziness of the parks. What type of incentives do they offer at the tour?

One of the great things about DVC is they don't haggle. They have fixed prices that are offered to on-site guests or those who choose to purchase from home.

The current incentive is a discount of $8 off per point (taking the cost down to $87 ea) and no maintenance fees until January 2006. You can finance for up to 10 years through DVC if necessary. The lowest interest rate over that period is 9.75%, which requires 20% down (the $8 per point discount is included in the 20%) and you also must schedule the payments via direct debit from a bank account.

You'll get a much better rate via home equity loan if available.

Regarding the tour, you might get some FastPass tickets or coupons for free lunch but that's about the extent of it. One of the nice things DVC will do is send a car to pick you up anywhere on Disney property and personally drive you to the preview center at Saratoga Springs. At the end of the tour they can take you back to your hotel or one of the resorts.
