i'd like to make tee times for me and my dad for our DEC 2008 trip. we'll definitely play once - maybe twice during the week we're there. i know that i cannot make tee times until 90 days out. but i'm trying to gather as much info as i can ahead of time to determine where and when we'll play - and how much it will cost.

anyone have any experience using their DVC membership to secure golf discounts? how does it work? how good are the discounts? and any advice on which course(s) to play??

We bought the DVC golf membership in June. The cost of the membership is $50 for a year. For that you can play at greatly reduced rates at any of the Disney golf courses after 10am (member & up to 3 guests). Depending on season, courses run $95-$180 per round, with the golf membership it is $35-$89 per round. You can buy the membership at the clubhouse by showing your blue dvc member card.

We spent $50 on the membership and then 3 of us played Eagle Pines at $35 each for a total $155 (50+105) rates without the membership were $95 so (95x3) our total would have been $285  So it more than paid for itself with that round. DH & I then played a round at Palm and on our December trip we played a round at LBV ($50 in Dec) and DH & son played 9 holes at Oak Trail ($20 and can play anytime). We will be back to the world in March and plan to play a few more rounds :)

If you don't mind playing after 10am, it's a great deal :thumbsup2
