we are headed to California in November, originally planning in DLR from Nov 13-19. Now my husband has signed up for the avengers half marathon so we ar arriving the 12th, but we have to be there from San Diego by 3 pm to get his race packet. So we essentially have two more days at DLR but they only sell 5 day tickets? Any suggestions what to do Saturday aft/eve and Sunday? We have a 6 almost 7 yo son with us. Thanks!

Beach day, and Universal Studios day? I'm regretting not taking an extra day on our Sept. trip to see the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal.

How about strolling around DTD on Saturday and having a nice dinner at one of the restaurants to get your Disney trip started?

I'd spend the afternoon/evening in DTD. Have you considered doing a day off in the middle of your park days? We like doing 3 days at the park then a day to sleep in and get to bed early to hit the parks refreshed for the last two days.

Go to Hollywood/Beverly Hills and do a celebrity home tour. Kinda hokey, but we got to see the Hoff's house. Pretty cool for an 80s buff like me.

We will be there almost the same timeframe! On our free day(s) we are thinking of going to Griffith Park for picnic, play, checkout the trains..etc. Maybe check out the observatory and possibly the Science Center to see the Endeavor. We also love going to the beach. We usually go to Little Corona Del Mar to play in the tidepools but I think we are gonna do Newport this time.

We are going almost those exact same days and are doing a 2.5-3 hr dolphin and whale watching boat excursion that looks to be really cool. Agree on the nice looking aquariums others have mentioned as well.

Never underestimate the value of a non-park rest day-anything with significantly less walking or exposure to the elements when you are doing 5 or more days.

We are staying in la jolla for a few days before so not sure a beach day is in the cards. Hubby is going to be wiped from running the hall marathon on Sunday, so another park day may not be a good choice. I am thinking of going to the lularoe warehouse which is only 30 miles east of Anaheim, but don't think my 7 yo son will enjoy that! LOL. Can you tell me more about the whale watching cruise?
