We have a 3:55pm dinner reservation for Ohana's as a prelude to attending MVMCP. It used to be one of our favorite restaurants, but I just learned that they no longer serve the food on skewers and the shrimp is peel-your-own. Can anyone confirm whether the chicken is on a bone? I read a review from a few years back that said it was, but based on the menu description, it does not appear to be. In general, the reviews are mixed that I have read. Anyone been there recently and have current feedback yay or nay about your experience there? Also, do you think we will tie up a lot of time eating there pre-party? I was hoping that since it was early, it would not take more than an hour. Thanks.

We ate there last month. Probably there for an hour and a half. (And the monorail was down, actually both times we visited the Poly during our stay.) I remember the days when they had the fire going and came over to the tables with the big skewers of meat. Not like that now. They come with salad and bread, then drop off chicken wings (bone in), noodles, dumplings, shrimp and steak, then later, dessert. It was just ok. Won’t be in a rush to go back. We attended MNSSHP (a different night) and just planned to munch around the park with specific party food (which they don’t start serving till 7pm). That never happened because it poured rain so we grabbed a reservation at Crystal Palace. Won’t be back there, either, lol. (We found the food a little disappointing this past trip.) At 3:55pm you could be in the park, getting your party wristband and starting the rides! See if you can find a list somewhere of what specific food they’ll be offering for the party and think about sampling that, imo.

You minus well just head over to Tambu Lounge a bit close to 4pm. Lighter portions including some of the Ohana hits.

I have not eaten at O’hana since last December, but I am just dropping in to suggest an earlier dinner then getting to MK earlier to enter the gates at 4.

Last year we ate at Steakhouse 71 and then walked over, we were in line by 3:30, and through the gates before 4.

The chicken wings are bone-in but the chicken entree is not. We were there in February and had a great experience. We're looking forward to going back the next time we're nearby.
