Our snow did stop so I think there is light at the end of the tunnel guys! Now they said we are in for BITTER cold! WTH!

HI Guys,
I am in Heaven with our snowfall. We got about a foot and are expecting about anotehr 8 inches tomorrow. I love it, though I do worry about our drive to suburban Detroit Tuesday.

I have not been around much, with getting back, trying to get ready for Christmas and my youngest having a reoccuring stomach bug (ICK!) She was sick, was fine for 2 days (though no appitite) and now it's back. I am exhausted but have lots of shopping to do so I am heading out here soon. I need to get it done today because of the weather tomorrow, it's supposed to not only be snowy but windy and I hate the idea of driving in blowing snow.

Hope all of you are will and hope to get more computer time after Christmas break with my girls. We have lots of plans over their break, but mostly we want to complete our scrapbooks from our trip while it is fresh in our minds, so that is what we will be up to.

If I'm not back before, have a Merry Christmas or Happy Hanukkah, and (though I'd think I'd make it back before) Happy New Year!

Well no snow here, as usual, have to admit am a little jealous would be lovely to just once have a White Christmas!

Our school hols have now officially started so now begins the manic countdown till Father Christmas arrives hahahhaa .. I have wrapped all of my presents now housework to do and i am officially ready to start the Christmas season

Here I am in VA, and it's cold!!!! And they're calling for snow going through the WV mtns tomorrow. I think we'll be okay cause it's a turnpike and they take good care of it. But of course we'll just take it slow.

It's supposed to be sooooo cold starting tomorrow! Right now it's about 40 here, but tomorrow the temps are dropping and highs only in the 20's on Monday - same in Ohio.

Jeff said it was about 80 back home today. Jerk.

Cammie - your house looks so festive with all the snow!!! I hope we get some for Christmas at my P's house. Ally really wants some snow.

OK, need to venture out to take the dog out again - he's got some gaseous emissions this trip - I think he's nervous. He couldn't get comfy in the car, and he's confused. But both Buck and Ally were good this trip - especially considering the cord for her DVD player was bad so we made the trip with NO movie watching!!!

I'm around too. Luca will be in bed in about an hour the house is semi clean just have to do the bathroom and finalize the kitchen. Does anyone have a cocktail weiner recipe? I have one but have never made it and need a tested one.

This is what I have

Mini Hot dogs
1 jar apricot preserves
1 bottle BBQ sauce
brown sugar
vinegar

Cammie to be alone would be heaven

I did buy hot chocolate and mini marshmellows for Lucas first Luke warm chocolate and We rented Horton Hears a Who.

My recipe is really hard - get a pencil. I put little smokies in the crock pot and pour a bottle of BBQ sauce over them. Everyone always loves them!
I know. I know. All of the preservatives and everything. I'll have to try one of these others!

Well, I'm in the last minute crunch time phase! I say I am going to get things done early and then everything gets done at the last minute! I guess in actuality though if I get it done this weekend it won't be as last minute as I have in the past!!! Main goal today is to get the darn Christmas cards in the mail!!!!!!!

I have been stressing over so much lately that during this festive time I am trying not to vent here or anywhere. Unfortunately, with a new year around the corner I start to see ALL the changes I want to make for the new year and this year I feel like the list is so pathetically long!!!!!! Oh well. Hopefully I can REALLY get my **** together in 2009.

Even though I haven't posted here as much as I want to I still am reading and keeping up with all of you because I still am so thankful to have all of you in my back pocket. That's how I feel. Even though most of us haven't even met, I feel like any of you would do anything for any of us!!!! I love you guys!!!!

I love your smileys! I didn't get cards done this year. If I do them the first week of Dec, they get done, otherwise. With the first 2 weeks taken up with my Dad, I just haven't gotten ahead. I was working on email cards for everyone, and my computer froze up! So I'll try again!

Okay, Brea! I'm going to "clear a path" to the kitchen this morning so Lindsay and I can START our cookies before I need to leave to take my mom to a play and Lindz needs to go see her parents.

STUNT DRIVERS! Did you see the news about the snow in Seattle? They don't usually get any snow, and they are having blizzard with 70 mph winds. They had to tie a tow truck to a pole to keep it from sliding while it pulled out a car!

Last night we had our Christmas party for the kids at church. I run a "bus ministry". We pick up underpriviledged kids and bring them to church on Sat night every week. So this week we had a huge birthday cake for Jesus, and a small gift for each , and they made an adorable nativity set made out of shoe boxes and tiny clay floral pots. Well, we came out, and it was snowing like crazy on top of ice! We have alot of hills here - can't figure out why you would build a place on hills with all the ice we get.

So we went up this really steep hill to bring a handicapped guy home, and we got all the way to the top, then ended up stuck up against a snow bank where a yard went DOWNHILL toward a house. Every time the driver took his foot off the brake, we would ease FORWARD toward the drop off! We were all holding our breath - with alot of prayer he managed to rock us ever so slightly back and forth and get us out! WHEW. Then we slid all the way back down the hill. I was so thankful he was our driver - he is a firefighter. My son Mark was helping on the bus and he said he had his cell phone in his hand because he was sure we were going to roll downhill into that house!

It is snowing again - no break in sight until Tuesday. So sorry girls, you usually get our weather about a week after us. No end in sight. That's global warming for ya!

Good Morning It is still snowing here like crazy we are suppose to get another 6 inches today and then it is going to ice over tonight.

I love it because it is so pretty and I don't have to go out in it. Our street hasn't been touched and it looks like a winter wonderland.

Tammie- So scary driving in all of that mess. I am glad you are all safe.
