Looking For Control Freaks & Worry Warts - We're still here!

Apparently someone in their organization needs a geography lesson! They have totally screwed the southeast! I'm not driving 4 1/2 hrs one way, which is the nearest location. Jacksonville made perfect sense - also the last time they were here, it was Tampa, not Jax,and the same this time. Most groups mix it up within the states. I will not drive 9 hrs round trip for anyone. Except Mickey if I had to.

EEP! EEP! EEP! I'm so excited about something I'm going to burst!

I may be getting ahead of myself but I just have to tell someone about what may be happening.............................

I've re-connected with a guy from college on Facebook (and before you all get excited, this story has NO romantic implications whatsoever!) Long story short - he was a senior when I was a freshman; he dated my roommate; she dumped him but he and I have stayed friends. We only talk about once or twice a year but since FB we've been talking more regularly. Anyway, he's looking at my photos from WDW and sees Lauren posing in front of the Jonas Brothers billboard and comments that his neighbor is one of their bodyguards!

WHAT?!

We immediately start having a chat about it - not only is his neighbor a bodyguard - he's one of the MAIN bodyguards (along with Big Rob) and he tells me he could try to set up a meet and greet with the Jonas Brothers the next time they're in town!

Well wouldn't you know - JB is going on tour this summer and they're coming to Boston on July 17th (which happens to be one day before my birthday). Lauren paid for membership in their fanclub with her own money just so she could get access to the presale of concert tix - she's told me she really wants to try to get floor seats. The tix go on sale Monday; my friend said as long as I get the concert tix, he could try to set up the meet and greet! LAUREN WOULD JUST DIE!!!! Heck - I'm going to DIE! We'll all be dying! My friend said his daughter met them last summer and she was crying she was so happy. He said they were the nicest guys and gave her hugs! OMG - can you imagine? I think I'd cry watching Lauren.

Nothing is definite but I just had to share with somebody! I don't want to say anything to Lauren until I know it will be happening!

Aaaaah - my week just got a little better!

Now, I'm off soon to get Amanda because the substitute nursing got screwed up for the afternoon pickup. I'll fill you guys in later about what a mess everything has been.

Cammie, that is SO EXCITING!!! I hope it works out! Lauren will be so stoked! Maybe you'll get a hug too!

Not too much at all - seriously! I sware over 75% has washed out already. I do a semi-perm color - so it lightens up as I go. Roots don't look so bad that way.

I think I'm giving in and going blond again. I use to do caramel highlights all the time. I hate roots, but nothing is quite covering the gray right.

I've been watching Jon & Kate and the early years her hair is darker and it looks SOOO much better with blond. That is what everyone keeps telling me too - so maybe I should just give in.

Hey girls it has been a very crazy week. We get Minnie on Sat. we were suppose to pick her up today, but Luca and I are both running fevers and cranky. We are going to make it out of the house today it is 65 degree here. Luca has an appointment at 2 for his ears and then I am going to insist we go take a walk. \

Well we are MOVING if all goes well we will be residents of Orlando Florida by this October.Mike is fed up and had enough he is already applying for jobs and looking at houses. We have decided to buy a townhouse so if we don't love living there we can use it as a second house. Things are a bit crazy and I am freaking out about moving away from my parents, but I'm a grown up I should be able to handle it.

That is awesome. Hope all goes well. Have a high school girlfriend who works in MK now but will be transferring to the new AKV restaurant when it opens.

Cammie: That would blow her mind!!! Not to mention yours. I kick myself for not insisting that we go see them when they first came out on tour. It was a free show and Beth loved some of the music but Tim didn't want to go. I don't dare ask what he thought of her going to see them. She is a daddy's girl.

The weather is getting better. My pond is almost open. I'm throwing the pump back into day and maybe in a month the Koi can go back outside.

Debbie you will find good airfare. $79 is a great one way fare.

Debbie, because you don't have to color your hair yet. My gray is kind of black, so my hair got really dingy looking - I am a natural blond. So I have to "natural it up."

Seriously though - I'm thinking they'll be adding more stops. There are some open days when they're in the Southeast - they may still be trying to work some more places in. I know right now, they are only scheduled for ONE show in NY - and it's on Long Island. Last summer, they sold out THREE nights at MSG in NYC; more NY dates have gotl be coming.

Thanks Laura. Kind of the same thing happened with us a few years ago. Lauren liked them a little bit and they were playing up here at BU's gymnasium - such a small place. But it was the middle of winter, and I didn't want to be bothered. Could kick myself now.

I'm just giddy about this prospect of the meet & greet. I keep thinking of Lauren waiting in line to see them - it makes me smile!

I don't know how I'm going to keep my mouth shut until I find out for sure. Especially since she just texted me that she got a 100 on a big geography test that she studied really hard for. I'm not good at NOT sharing information with her!

For tessa and Erin, tim just got done watching top gear on BBC America. How on earth to they get away with half the stuff they do. It is truly amazing.

I didn't see the previews, but those two wouldn't split up - after all they've been through? I think they have a relationship like mine & Carlos' where we tease a lot - a little tricky editing and you can keep people guessing.

We could do a Mod (values are all booked ) for two days for $950 - includes base dining pkg (and that totally will be all our food minus drinks of course).

Presently... our room is $110 a night... two nights... plus taxes I'm sure.
Our tuition fees for CKU is $70
Food on top of that...

SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME That our KY trip is going to be over 425 each. We're driving too btw.

My best friend and I are going away next weekend for a scrapbooking weekend. Looks like our hotel is $235, our gas of course (4 hour drive), food ??, and our fees for our classes $140 for both.

OMG! It is about the same $$ isn't it?

Tammie- hope you have an amazing trip!!!

As for my BF, she isn't Disney nuts, but they go a couple times a year. She hasn't been in a while with zero kids and was getting so excited about riding rides, doing adult things - just Disney from a different angle I guess.

It isn't going to work out though. Our CK registration is non-refundable at this point. Airline tickets are almost sold out on the return trip - meaning we'd have to leave Sunday at 7 am. Plus there is the money - it would add a good $500 or so to our trip, so it got nixed. Oh well...

BUT we did through all this decide to drive up a day earlier rather than early the next morning - so that is a three night getaway so it is all good. I'm just having a really rough time coming up with something fun to do there.

Mom is being Mom this morning. Telling me we should get a dog. The news was talking about a lot of people leaving their homes for apts and having to turn their dogs into the shelters - which are overflooded... yada, yada, yada - I should get one.

I don't know if I'm ready for that just yet. It breaks my heart to know that is going on, but right before a trip? I dunno. With our last dog, she was from the shelter and an abuse case. So she had HUGE seperation anxiety. I left her for two trips only in the 9 years I had her. 4 nights and 2 nights. She was my baby. 3 years of cardiac problems was just so hard.

Moving on though...

Today isn't as lovely here. Cloudy and blah. I've cleaned downstairs, need to move on to upstairs but I needed a break too.

Also - the Biggest Loser Family Cookbook is so good - and you have all the info you need to compute points off it - plus it is stuff everyone in the house will eat. I think it is about my favorite. Very good things in it. All I have done are yummy.

Well not $1000.00 but close!

My waiting paid off for the airfare and we found a "going" flight for $98.00 each which was good...that was 400.00 but my Mom will be paying for herself and my ticket (as my birthday gift).

Airfare was a total of just under 200.00 each. That could have been worse, right?

And then I actually got Jonas tix this morning!!!!!! They aren't perfect seats but they aren't too bad. I can't believe that most of them aren't gone yet! I bought with the Citicard Presale. We are section 106 Row N. VERY excited!
