Hi guys - back from basketball - DD won her game which means we get to go to the championship game tomorrow at 9am! :woohoo: and :headache:

My two cents on DTD....
First let me say that I am a WDW souvenir addict. I have figured out that looking at the things I have bought from there gets me through to the next trip. Personal favorite are my WDW Christmas village, our WDW clothing items and picture frames to name a couple.
We never used to do DTD but then realized that they have the most variety in items. If it's for sale in WDW, DTD most likely has it. Keeping all that in mind plus the fact we found out (or should I say we realized) that we could get an extra 10% off in World of Disney @DTD if you use or show your Disney Visa we now go there in the beginning for the main souvenir shopping. AND I would be too embarrassed to even tell you what I spend on souvenirs for us! Lastly, I ship the stuff straight home from there. The 10% off usually covers the shipping and if you ship home they DO NOT charge sales tax.

You all have a Disney rewards card right?????? It's a must have for the Disney vacationer! If not let me refer you and we will both get 25.00 bucks in Disney Rewards!

I'm with you, Debbie. Have my Disney Rewards card and use that discount wherever and whenever. DTD is a must-stop for us every year. Love the Xmas shop - go there to get personalized mickey-head ornaments(for teachers and our annual one) & have them shipped right home. They do a beautiful job! And Goofy's Candy Co. is worth the trip alone! Love Fulton's and Portofino's and trying Raglan Rd. this year.

Cammie... I wouldn't feel bad. I think you have to split time sometimes with your children. It just makes the reunion all that sweeter. But I do chime in and agree a nice expensive treat would help! Then again, I'm all about the treats! I don't know exactly your situation, but my aunt was special needs. I think you know when I say, they bless your life in more ways than you imagine. Kids are all special in their unique way... so I think one on one time with a child apart from the rest of the family is a good, special thing. NOW, my stance on this may change after my upcoming trip! :rotfl: No guilt though, 'cause it sounds like you are a wonderful mom!

Thanks - I'm sure you'll survive also. Of course this means you'll have to go back in two years - alone with your DD!

I've already thought of that! You are right. Then again that can be a good think. DH tends to like WAY laid back vacations. I am very doubtful of his abiltity to be on a schedule at Disney and not blow his stack.

I just made my first X Fusion frozen drink. All I did was blend it with ice like any other frozen drink and it is just as wonderful as I suspected it would be!!!!!! I did get a couple major head freezies but that's because I drink frozen drinks way too fast. I am drinking it out of DDs HSM glass :rotfl2:

Where's the vodka?:confused3

Mine already has vodka in it!
I'm confused!

I'm confused too!

Mine says it has vodka in it also but when you go to the website, alot of their drink recipes say to ADD vodka. We made the x-rated flirtinis last weekend: vodka, fusion liqueur, triple sec and cranberry juice. Good lord - I've been adding vodka the whole time!:faint:

Oh let me tell you Debbie, every time I see your siggie I crack up. That is SO my husband when I talk to him about Disney :rolleyes2 . :lmao:

I love that smiley for my DH! He thinks we are all nuts (but goes with it for the sake of the children)!

That just makes it have more vodka! Yikes! I can barely handle this amount! You go ya crazy lush! (No offense)

None taken - I AM a lush!

Cheers!:drinking1 (although, actually, I'm sitting here, eating Jelly Belly jelly beans - think I'm going to bed now. I'm beat and the girls are at their dad's)

Have a good night!

Hiya all -

Erin - we are travelling on the Sunday - 6th, from Gatwick. Staying at the Hilton - (thank you Tesco vouchers....) on the 5th. We are also P&PP ing for the first time - we go on the Friday 11th. Staying with Virgin in their "Orlando Homes" so pot luck on accommodation.... which worries me a bit - or it will when we get further than getting on the plane..... Here's the link to our pretrip, are you doing one? It will be interesting to see if we stick to any of it!!

Kara - hope the weather is improving - we are due storms in the next few days - but only 70mph winds forecast, so not too strong. My little girl is desperately trying to learn to ride without stabilisers (training wheels??) on her bike - we said maybe this weekend - ha - she would probably be flying off like ET or who was it in the Wizard of Oz??

Have been trying some US foods for the kids, get them used to some different things - I know we can just eat like normal, (pasta, chicken, tomato seems to be a staple of the Western world...) but would be nice for them to try other stuff....

Reeses Pieces YES YES YES - my Harry met Sally moment!
Kelloggs Fruit Loops - OMG Nooooooooooo - we have toilet cleaner that smells like that - yeeuuukk......
Buttermilk pancakes mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Maple syrup (ok it was Canadian..) mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

A very small sample so far - but it relies on friends coming back with something "interesting" for us to try. Though we have also gone for "American Style" hotdogs with mustard - yes , thankfully we all like those, so will have a decent snack available..... Hotdogs over here can vary from German Frankfurter style to sausage links in bread..

Since we are staying in a villa we can cook - so you girls have to let us Brits know (see how easy you fit in Erin!!) what to try and what to avoid!

Cheers all,
Tessa

Hiya all
Erin - we loved Denny's last time we were there (10 years!!!) - do they still do the actions to YMCA if someone puts it on the jukebox?? Also we loved Perkins for breakfast.... mmmmmm.

Feeling cold and wet now, not so good for cycle learning! But the kids are playing being snails!! Sit in a bucket, tip yourself over and crawl round the room - :rotfl2:they have fun doing the weirdest stuff!

For the SECOND night since our little blessing came home from the hospital, she has slept through the night! Keep in mind this time last month I was up with her still at least 3-4X a night! SO... Mommy's wheels in her head are turning. She's going to bed at 8, getting up at 7....

What is in this Fusion stuff? :rotfl2: I might be enjoying something like that tonight. My latest pre-pregancy vice was Svedka clementine flavored vodka, Ginger Ale, a little fresh squeezed orange juice and a little simple syrup. :cloud9:  :cloud9: It is more like a martini type drink, so be heavy handed with the vodka! I was thinking of getting me the goods, but perhaps I should check out this Fusion... What does it taste like?

Hahahhaa no idea about the YMCA bit but i'd join in if they did  Ooh not been to Perkins what do they do??

Hahahahhaha the image of kids being snails so funny .. i've been watching stardust with my DD

My memory these days! YIKES! I logged on to ask some questions and end up joining the Fusion banter! Ha.

1. Do you need a stroller cover if you take your own (April)? Ours is smaller and folds similar to an umbrella stroller.

2. Do you ever use cab service rather than ME to return after the fireworks? Would this be a good deal?

3. I do want to get a nice Christmas ornament as well as a cute Snow White outfit for DD. Any suggestions of where in the World to get these? I think I remember Debbie (?) talking about DTD Christmas shop selection being better. I hadn't planned on going there, but if I need to I will.

Thanks so much! I'm so excited to be just putting the planning on coast. All except that first day, but I have TWO plans, the MK & DHS (thanks to you) and I will just flip a quarter that day if I have to. :rotfl2:
