Hi Everyone,
My DH is back to normal. The minute the heart goes back into rhythm he's fine. My shoulder is getting worse though. I bought Alieve today and am hoping that helps. I know I should go to the Doctor but I just dread running around in the car with the kids when it is this cold and icey. I don't feel like doing anything when the weather is like this. I have about 5 returns to do too and I haven't done them yet. Oh well. I will venture out tomorrow I guess.
Lisa, I have not forgotten about Yorktown. I'm just waiting to see how the upcoming days are looking.
Debbie

I know how you feel. I didn't leave the house yesterday because I was cold inside the house and the temp was 74. I hate doing all the bundling.
My DH helped me w/putting up a picture and the Mickey and gift. It was so simple but I wasn't looking at it right. Thanks for the explanation on how to. He figured it out from that.
I just bought the Passporter book from Walden today but doubt I will have a chance to look at it.

I like your SIG Lisa. :cool1: The DisneyOhana is VERY cute! I was thinking about buying this other WDW book called...The Hassle-Free Walt Disney World Vacation: 2006 Edition. I wonder if it's worth reading.

My shoulder is worse then ever! :guilty:
Debbie

DisneyOhana...that is really weird about the chiropractor. I can definitely understand why that would make you uncomfortable!

FromScratch Mom...so glad to hear you are okay! I was in a multi-car pile up a few years ago and it is really scary. It seems like you have a really positive attitude about the situation. I hope that you have a great time at WDW with the girls. Are you doing MVMCP?

Debbie6221...So sorry to hear you are in so much pain. Have you tried a heating pad along with the Advil/Aleve? It is so hard when you have to carry around a little (or not so little!) one. In reference to your DH's meds..I think sotalol is just about the safest med for Afib. There are many pts in my pharmacy on it and they seem to do well. I did a quick check on side effects for diltiazem, I didn't see anything about the teeth, but anything is possible w/medications! Everyone can have different reactions to different meds. And yes, Coumadin is a scary med. I always triple check all rxs for Coumadin b/c it can have so many bad effects if you don't get exactly the right dose. Hang in there w/ your shoulder. Hope you feel better soon!

Hi pbharris and everyone else..hope you are doing well!

I just got done a 13 hour shift, but I can never go right to bed. It always takes me a few hours to "wind down". It was a tough day at work today. I had a man screaming at me b/c I had the nerve to fill his rx with a generic. He was so mean, I was shaking and on the verge of tears. Sometimes working w/the public is not fun, to say the least. My 6 month old is sick and my ped refused to see her yesterday. My husband had to take all 3 kid in tonight and Grace does have an ear infection. I think I need to find a new ped. This is about the 4th time we have had to fight to be seen, and everytime we do go in, an antiobiotic is prescribed, so obviously, when we say our kids need an appt, they really do! Okay, vent over. It has gotten really cold here (in NJ). Last Thurs, it was 70 degrees, and now it is about 35. Very strange!

Yikes, Maureen. I hope you can get changed over to a better pediatrician. Seems like a common problem to have trouble finding a good doctor.

And yes, we are going to do MVMCP. We've bought tickets for Friday the 15th. We'll be at MGM earlier that day and we have an early dinner ADR for Mama Melrose's (4pm). We'll probably take our time after dinner to see Osbourne Lights and then who knows what the kids might want to ride one last time considering that is the only day that we have planned at that park. So if we are at MGM right up until 7, which is when it closes that night we'll get to MVMCP later, but I'm sure we'll still enjoy it. Plus we'll have other time in the Magic Kingdom during our trip.

Sounds like I have too much planned doesn't it? There are atleast 3 different days that I wrote it into my itinerary that one or the other of us could take the girls back to the hotel for an afternoon break. Hope that goes OK! My girls are 6 1/2 and 9. So I won't be surprised if the youngest needs the break all three of those days, but I'm hoping that she can make it through without becoming miserable on the other days. Actually, I'm more worried about my 9 year old, who will not want to take a break ever, but also might have a hard time sleeping in a hotel room. That is a possible problem that could really make for some miserable times if she gets overtired and still can't slow down and rest at night.

OMG!
It is freezing here in Chicago!!!!!
My DD fell asleep in the car yesterday on the way to dinner at the mall and so she was up last night until almost midnight! Her Dad was working & the baby was sleeping. It was a bear trying to settle her down for a couple hours to go to bed. She had school today and I just didn't have the heart to wake her up with such a short amount of sleep and then thrust her out into the tundra! So we are playing hookey. I do feel guilty because she only goes to school two mornings a week but then again it's only preschool, right? I will make sure to educate her for couple hours today! :rotfl2:
Hi To all! :wave2:
WOW! Some of you are leaving VERY soon!!!!! How exciting!

My DD does that every once in a while. She takes a short nap in the car and can't fall asleep til really late. I think it is okay to miss a day at preschool. After all, when I was a that age a lot of children didn't go to preschool.
My pediatricians aren't that great either. My sister told them that her son wasn't really talking yet and they wrote down that he was. A year later he was diagnosed w/autism. They say the earlier they get help the better chance they have of leading a normal life. Well, what we call normal. We all have our strange things we do. Anyway, even though that happened I have never had any serious problems w/my pediatricians. They get me in as soon as possible if I am really worried.

I love my Pediatricians. Thank goodness! They never act like it's a bother when I call even if it is for the littlest thing.

Hi, all!

My DD is like that as well. She goes to preschool 2x a week for full days. On those days I try to get her up at 6:30 just because it takes her 30-40 minutes just to get her out of bed. And she loves preschool. She'll say "Wait! I'm sleeping!" :rotfl: I really can't complain though. She is a GREAT sleeper and always was. My older DD forget it. She still has sleep issues. It wasn't until she was 8 that she'd sleep in her room by herself.

You'll have to tell us how the MVMCP is. I really wanted to go to that, but it's over by the time we get there. Don't they do any thing ON Christmas?

I can't believe Christmas is only 2 or so weeks away! This year went so fast. I don't know how much I will be on here between now and then as like everyone else I'll be busy baking, dipping 40+ lbs of my homemade cream center candy, wrapping, dog grooming, errand running, Xmas parties, laundry (which my goodness takes at least 1-2 days itself :sad2: etc.

Gosh, I am glad we don't go on trips every year at Christmas time. I barely had time to plan anything. I did manage to sneak in a few ADRs. Maybe I'll just sit back and relax and have a few Cape Cods!

I hope you all have a wonderful and safe holiday!!!! :grouphug:

Pam

PAM...don't go yet!!!! There's still more time to visit us!
Debbie

Hi, there. I'm starting to pack. If anyone can think of anything to add to this list, please jump in!

For those of you who don't know how to add something to this list and get those headings to show up red: First click on quote on the last post that had the list, then edit what shows up in the posting window to remove any parts of the post that is not part of the list (this paragraph for instance). Also remove the code at the beginning and the end that starts the quote and ends the quote. Once you remove that bit of code, when you click on the "preview post" button or the "submit reply" button it will post it as if it is all original rather than in a quote box. But before you click on one of those don't forget to add your input to the list.

BEFORE TRIP LIST
Make sure all ADR are made at 180 days, save all confirmation numbers in your WDW trip folder.

Make copies of the credit cards you will be bringing and using on the trip to keep separate from actual cards.

I am going a little crazy here. I cannot control myself and make myself stop worrying sometimes. I've just been putting shampoo and sunscreen and similar things into little bottles for us to put in our carry-on luggage. I don't mind having more in the checked luggage and just enough to get through a night or two in our carry-ons, but now I'm realizing that I have no idea just how many ounces of __________ (fill in the blank) my family will use in a one week visit. I wish I could at least estimate closely in order to not carry the extra weight of full bottles of everything and I can't stand the idea of having to buy more just because I stupidly brought half as much as was needed.

I bought little 2 ounce bottles at a local art supply store and also 3.3 ounce bottles that I figured I could use in the checked baggage, but now I'm stressing out---thinking goofy thoughts like, "what if Liese uses tons of shampoo and runs out too quickly?"

I know that we'll be at Disney and we'll have fun anyway. I know I'm a nut. But thanks for letting me tell y'all my crazy worries!

Don't forget they give you stuff to use in your room too. Where are you staying?
Debbie

We'll be staying at the All-Star Music, in one of the new "family suites". You'd think I'd be happy to rely Disney provided shampoo and soap. But I have terrible problems with dry skin and there are very few soap or cleansing products that I can use with good results. So, I'll be bringing my body wash for me. Also my girls tend to have trouble with the texture and health of their hair. I wish they had gotten my hair, which I am able to keep looking shiny and healthy all most all of the time. But I have to really work hard at it to keep theirs looking half-way decent. It never feels smooth and soft, but if I'm careful about shampoo and conditioning it can at least be better than the worst we've seen. The last time we stayed in a motel and used hotel shampoo it was such nasty stuff that even my hair felt awful after I used it.

Wow, such a way that I can go on and on with my worries! I must be totally nuts!

At least I've got our sunscreen and lotion ready to go. And I finally convinced DH to go get some new shoes in time to wear them for a few days to break them in. Well not exactly in time, but there's still 5 days to go. That *might* be enough. ;)

FromScratchMom....
I started this thread at the time I was planning my trip for the same reasons you are stressing! It is a place to come and vent about your worrying without us judging you! We can relate to you!!!!!

Have you packed a warmer set of clothes in case the weather stays chilly there?
How about stamps for your postcards with an address list?
Did you pack any coupons, gift cards, gift certificates, anything obscure like that?
Like we had to remember a gift certificate for the Richard Petty driving experience that was a gift plus our Disney rewards cards from charging so much!
Debbie

I found that sun screen was pricey at WDW but not completely outragous. As for the soaps and shampoos.... just pack the full bottles in ziplocs and then you will have more than enough. I always felt like if I had to I would just throw out the left overs at the end of the trip if I felt I didn't want to pack it again and I was still ahead of the game as opposed to buying it there.

Thanks, Debbie!!! I am so glad that you started this thread. It is great to know that y'all understand.

Last night, I was up most of the night doing stuff. Right now I'm about worn to a frazzle. I guess after I get some sleep, I'll be able to finish it all up tomorrow and be ready ahead of time, which will make me very happy. This way, I'll still worry but I'll have a few days to remember anything that I might have forgotten. I'm also going to try to think positively and maybe pat myself on the back for being prepared for Christmas and my mom's b-day, which comes right after. When we get back from our trip, we shouldn't need to do any more shopping! hooray!

You have a trip folder OMG whats in it? 100 days to go, In a panic, what worse is im staying with my best freinds family whom I only have met one of ONCE!

flyingbabyB..
Our trip folder is where we put all our reservation numbers, maps, flight itinerary, "To Do" list, etc. It is a great idea to have a list of the days you will be there with space to write down your plans for the day in it too. PLEASE feel free to ask us anything! We are crazy here!
