Next we positioned ourselves for the parade. It was AWESOME! No pix ..just videos.

Our ADRs for my Birthday dinner were at CRT and I had the best time! Dinner was delicious!!!!!! They ordered a cake for me……it was so wonderful!

Afterwards we went on a couple more rides and then headed over to Toontown…
The line for Mickey was really long. My DH was losing patience and the kids were starting to get tired but we HAD to see Mickey!!!

After Mickey we decided to take my favorite train back to the gate and go home. Well boy did I luck out! As soon as we got to the station Spectromagic was starting and a wonderful women let my DD go right in front of here for prime positioning for the parade! What a great end to a perfect day!

The next day we enjoyed the resort a bit more and then went to DDD before heading back to Disney.

And I can go on and on even though the trip was so short. And that being said it was TOO SHORT. When I think of all the things we didn’t get to. Wow! I just had to keep reminding myself that we would be back in November and also that this is why I don’t do the short WDW trip split thing. When you are obsessed there is just TOO much to do in too little time!

I’m sure I will be back with more boring details. Sorry it’s so long. Thanks for humoring me!

Debbie...

Hey..you...welcome back!

Thanks for the trip report and pictures. Your kids are absolutely adorable! Is you son a red head? My DD Meghan has strawberry blonde hair. I think redheads are heartbreakers..as they are sooo cute! I saw you had your lime green mickey head on. Did you know that Home Depot is going to get rid of the mickey heads?

Can't wait for a Dole Whip. Debbie...yours looks really yellow. I don't remember it being that yellow. I read on the boards that they have been changing it around (the mixture) some and some say it just isn't the same.

I'm glad you had a wonderful trip..we missed you.

Someone else is going soon too, aren't they?

I really need to do laundry and start packing. If I wait to the last mintue I will forget something. I could sleep in every morning, but my youngest DD gets up at 7:00 every morning and flings my door open and shouts loudly "Mommy, it's time to get up!" I feel so run down..not a good way to start a vacation.

Hope everyone is doing all right. Please drop in and let us know how you are doing.

Yes...DS is a red head (auburnish) and we don't even know where it came from really!

Why is HD getting rid of the samples??? Not cause of us I hope!

While in WDW no one said anything to me about it.

I am off to bed. Good night!

Hi Debbie! I enjoyed your mini TR! Great Pics! Wasn't AKL awesome? I just realized I forgot my Dole Whip  As you will read in my TR - our days got so crammed that it was commando-like despite our best efforts not to do it that way.

I saw a gal at Ariel's Grotto on the 5th - thought it might be you - then lost site of her just before the kids had a melt down and had to go back to the resort for a swim ;) I see by your pic that I don't think it was you - glad you had such a :bday:

Hi everyone! still catchin' up!

Hi Debbie,
Glad you had a great trip - what lovely photos:thumbsup2, really makes me want to be there right now.
Our pics always end up with us all looking hot+ bothered and absolutely shattered, so don't know how you all look so fresh + bright..... you have to let us in on the secret!

Interesting to "see" a dole whip - everyone keeps saying I have to try one, but that then I'll be addicted and unable to get them over this side of the ocean, so I don't know...

mmmmm one query, what's the green mickey head thing?

Hi everyone else too...... I don't know all the names yet, but I'm getting there... (hubby says the dis boards are getting to be my adopted home!! - maybe I should leave logging in till AFTER breakfast!!:rolleyes1)

Tessa

They are paint color samples we get at Home Depot, a home improvement chain - they are shaped like Mickey heads and they have a great Alien Green the perfect DISer color. PM me if you don't have Home Depot there - I will be happy to send you some.

Oh, I think I see now - you wear the head to show you are a DISer - like a little secret code thing?
We don't have a Home Depot here, but (cos I do 200 crafts - or so it seems sometimes) I'm sure I can work something up that looks the same - cross Atlantic postage is way too pricey nowadays -thanks for the offer though..

What is the etiquette if you see someone with one - is it OK to "approach" or is it just like a secret smile thing? I'm all intrigued now....

Tessa

Welcome Back, Tammie!!! Can't wait to hear about your trip.

Tessa, I am sure it would be fine to say Hi to a fellow DISer. I have those Mickey Heads, but for the past 2 yrs I keep forgetting to bring them.

Yes, Tessa! It is fun to talk to the other Disers! I met two this past trip, one I am not real sure I remember the name, but we talked for several minutes while waiting for MK to open - and the second one, was IFISHFORMEN - I enjoyed visiting with her and her family, especially her cute twin boys - while waiting to ride NEMO. We asked each other what our DIS name was, and then just talked about our trips.

Hi Pam! :wave2: I started my TR yesterday.

Hi everyone! our graduation party went well today - although my DILs uncle died tragically from an allergic reaction today, so the family arrived in various states of grief - they held up wonderfully. We suggested cancelling, but they didn't want to ruin the day for Ryan and Dana. Such a sweet family.

My DGS has a bug bite on his leg, which started out this am as a ping pong sized lump and by tonight his whole leg and ankle were swollen, with a red swollen area around the bite - his skin was breaking down also - I am thinking it must be a spider, although my DIL insists it was a mosquito. Anyway, they took him to the doctor earlier today, and were given anti-biotics. I have them give him benadryl and use a clay masque on it which draws out the poison. We keep wondering if he should go back to the ER, or would they help him anyway :confused3 They are going to watch him during the night and see how he does. So now I have another one to worry about:confused:

well, I have to get to bed - moving my DS, my DIL and Mr. Mason over to Medford, 90 minutes away - so they can start their new careers!k

Goodnight everyone!

Hi Gang...
I'm glad you liked my pix. I'll share more if you want. I enjoy posting them for you guys.

Tessa..I sure didn't feel very refreshed in any of the pix but shared anyway. Thanks for thinking we look good!In the one with my DM and DD I felt like all our eyes were swollen still from getting up early!

:goodvibes Tammie..I am enjoying your TR so far! Cool beans! I don't know how you weren't out of your mind. Sorry for the trouble and I hope everything is better now.

You guys need to post pix so I know what you look like! So far I know what Pam, Maureen and Lisa look like.

Hey, I didn't tell you guys they lost my DHs golf clubs for a couple days!:headache:

Pam..tell me more about them doing away with the Mickey heads.

Lastly for tonight....I would love to accumulated your home addresses if you feel comfortable sharing with me. (ie post cards, Christmas cards) Just PM me.
Debbie

Hi Debbie! Your pics are Beautiful! Thanks so much for sharing.
Update: the move went well for my DS - they were really glad we spent the night - they started to feel wierd about leaving, especially my DS. Of course I was holding back tears as I left this am. Although they are really independent, I still liked knowing they were just down the street if I wanted to see them or call them.

My DGS's leg is getting better. His mommy, Lindsay who is 8 mo. pregnant and having problems with dizziness and weakness has something off in her Thyroid - should have some answers from the docs this week.

I thought I had downloaded some pics to my laptop, but I can't open them, so I guess I need to do it again - I will get busy posting. Talk to everyone soon - still catching up:rolleyes1

Tammie, I was sad when I moved to VA from PA years ago and I missed my mom and dad, but it was only a 4 hr drive and I knew I was welcome anytime as they were in my home too. I know they missed me as well. Right after my mom passed away and we were going through financial papers she had a little diary (she didn't keep up with it every day), but one of the last entries was "The day Pam moved to Virginia. I am sure going to miss her." Can't tell you how much that meant to me espcially after just losing her. Just make sure to tell your DS how much you love him and his family and make sure to ask to visit often! :)

Debbie....about the Mickey Heads...I read it on a thread somewhere on the DIS..let's see if I can find it:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1485204

Guess they are phasing them out or something :confused3

I loved the pictures! The one where your DD is facing the sunset is just a gorgeous picture. You should enter that into some contest..seriously.

I am doing the single digit dance.... I've packed myself (except toiletries)..now just have to do the girls. My youngest kept packing her suitcase while I was doing mine....she was just grabbing stuff and throwing it in there..a blanket, her Strawberry Shortcake and friends dolls, one of her swimsuits, several books, one shoe, etc. It was funny. I learned Lysol came out with a travel size spray!! I hope Target has it. I want to get that to spray off the toilets. I hate public toilets...ick. I have a foldable potty seat for my youngest, but that Lysol would be a great addition! I've got several things of Purell too! Me worried about germs...nah.

Debbie...you should have my address, right?

Must go to bed. Was out in the sun all day and got a tad too much sun.

Pam

Pam, you only have 4 days! How exciting for you! I love the packing story - that is what makes childhood so special  Happy planning!

My name is Pamela, and I am not a worrier, and am not a self-confessed control freak, although you'd get a different answer from my husband...I have not posted on DISboards very many times, but have read a lot of posts for several years now, off and on, especially before our Disney World trips.

I have enjoyed reading this post! I am only on page 12, but have skimmed thru pgs 1-12, and you all seem like you have a lot of fun corresponding, and that you really care about each other! Are you all welcoming newbies into your post? I do not have any pen (pc) pals, but think that I would enjoy something like this! My teenage daughter has introduced me to mySpace, but I just haven't GOTTEN INTO it. There isn't anyone on it my age that I have met that I have things in common with. I'm sure there is, but I just haven't found that yet. There's a lot of junk out there. Yes, I monitor her VERY closely, and her page is marked private. She only communicates with kids that she knows at school, and I frequently log on to monitor her page. Anyway...

I am married, with two daughters, age 14 and 9. We have been going to DW every 2 years, and this will be my daughters' 4th trip. We like to go in November, although we would prefer October, but now it is harder to take the kids out of school. Our last trip was November 2005, with my in-laws, and this November, we are traveling w/my parents and my sister. We are 150 days away, and can hardly wait. I am a chronic planner -- create countdown calendars, packing lists (I am going to read thru all of the pages of your thread to find your final list and compare it to mine), make priority seatings 180 days out, plan which days we'll go to which parks, etc., etc., which drives my husband crazy (but he loves it). Life is great, but planning our Disney trips (we love those the best!) gets us thru every day. I think that planning and anticipating is even better than the trip itself!

I am not good with posting pictures, adding countdowns to my signature, using Disney and DISboards lingo, etc., but would like to learn!

Well, this has become long. Thanks for listening. It's funny, because I tend not to worry much at all, and come from a family of worriers. I saw the quote that I have added to my signature, at Barnes and Noble and loved it. I found it on the internet today, and decided to put it in my signature, then I found your post about worrying.

Have a great day everyone! :)

For some reason, my post showed up twice! I don't think that I am pc challenged, only posting challenged, and text messaging challenged, and instant messaging challenged, and web page challenged...the list goes on.

Hey Pamela! I'm a Pamela as well. I mostly go by Pam. Not too many of us Pams around. (It can't be THAT old fashioned!) :rotfl:

Of course you can join in! We just share stories about things we're planning for Disney or whatever else. Everyone pops in when they have time. Everyone is super sweet. I loved that quote. I should live my life by it. I am a worrier, but not as bad as I used to be. I worry about my two daughters, but what parent doesn't? We aren't all worriers...mostly planning junkies. Like you a lot of us plan, plan, plan. I made my ADRs at 180 days out as well. My DH thinks I am addicted to the DIS and Disney, and will make a funny comment about me "finding something out." He'll say "DId you find that on the DIS?" But once we have a really nice smooth sailing trip..he is very appreciative! :thumbsup2 I have to say that I didn't go overboard this year as far as planning every single day so we'll see how it goes.

Your trip isn't that far off. It'll be here before you know it.

Nice to "meet"you and keep coming back.

Pam

:goodvibes Welcome Lovin Life! We would love to have you visit with us:love: . I always think of this bunch as high tech pen pals! We can be here for ya if you need us too. We all get along so great and it's a very comfortable place to talk about Disney and everything else (Gymboree, Crocs, Ebay, Sales, Schools). Please stick around and give it a try! BTW I am going in November too! November 9th to like the 17th but it's not etched in stone yet. Also, PM me and I can teach you how to do stuff like posting pix or getting a ticker! I self taught myself when I joined the DIS from the help of other fellow Disers.
Nice to meet you!

Pbharris (Pam ).....OMG!!!!!!!!!! You are leaving so soon! So super cool!!!!!! It will be so awesome!!!! I can't wait for your TR with pix!

TinkLvr (Maureen) How's life? Work? Kids? Did you go earn some more Gymbucks?:rotfl2:
DisneyOhana (Lisa) How is everything? Did you get anymore test results back. We will have to set up a summer play date!
hannahsmomma (Jaclyn) Are you all weaned out? I hope you are still with us!
Magicfor2 (Tammie)Are you having the Disney Doggie Downers yet? It stinks when your ticker says "since" don't ya think. I hope all is better on the family front. How is DIL?
Ahibird (keahi) Long time no talk to either. How is the sunny island these days???
Sewer Have you ditched us for Margaritaville???
tea4sanity (Joanne)Hi!
2girlsmom (Kristy)How are ya?
tttessa (tessa) What's the weather like by you? Is your summer like our summer? I hope your DD is doing good now with the whole BFF situation.

Have a great rest of the week everyone!:cool2:

I am fighting the urge to go to Gymboree online and buy, buy, buy. My DD already has too many clothes, but there are some great prices and it's gymbucks time too!

I almost do not want to go to Disneyworld, because it means that I also have to come back. Is that stupid?
