This thread is for me I cannot believe I have missed it this long...LOL I have been planning our 12/08 trip since last March. There will be 10 of us and I am freaking out. I want to make sure everyone gets what they want to eat stay play etc... We are also planning a March 08 trip and I am stressed about that because we are not going to book until taxes come in.
Here's somefor you guys, too. I always feel guilty during the winter reading about how cold it is where you all live. Don't hate me because I live in paradise
.
Aloha – keahi
TGIF! I havent posted in awhile, and now its only me posting. I must drive you all crazy.
I finished scanning all of the posts I missed. Talk of snow, Christmas, New Years, being sick, Hawaii and visiting (or moving in with?) Keahi, more snow, quitting smoking, families, face products, annoying controlling sports parents (or parents in general), cruises, Disney trips, bugs at DW (although I refuse to think that it is even possible-denial), more snow. I missed you all.
I just cannot find time to do all of the things that I like to and want to do, and sometimes I struggle with that! I work full time, about 13 miles from my home, but a drive that is about 45 mins one way, after I drop by girls off at different schools in the AM. DH picks one up from after school care, and one walks or gets a ride home. Ive talked before about our activities, but I also like to crochet, cross stitch, dis!, play the Wii (that was a huge hit with the family by the way!), make homemade greeting cards, cook decent meals for my family and bake, play w/my new Nintendo DS, read, and I want to, make that NEED to, work out. I want to sign up for a yoga class at the rec center. I would like to learn how to use my sewing machine to its fullest. I would like to hem all of the pants hanging in my closet w/the hems undone. My girls just outgrow theirs before I have a chance to do it. The list is endless. My to dos take forever to get done, or never get done and become pointless or forgotten. Theres all of those things that have to be done on the weekends, like dogs to the vet, their nails trimmed, oil changes and car batteries to be installed (I have to get one tonight). There just isnt enough time in the days and weekends to do everything that I have to do, let alone what I WANT to do. I enjoy it all (well, not the pet and car maintenance), but I want to do more! Short of not getting any sleep or very little, which I cannot do, or can do for awhile but it catches up w/me, I dont know how to do it.
I am really feeling it lately. I had to vent! Being at my moms for so long over the holidays didnt help me, but I am so glad that I spent that time w/my grandma, and my mom. Do any of you ever feel the same?
I need to change my signature this weekend. I still have Christmas!

I got a sewing machine for Christmas and it is still in the box. I have no clue how to use it and wanted to sign up for classes. I too am fighting the gym war. I am at my heaviest post baby and I need to loose weight to fit in my summer clothes about 20 lbs in 2 months Any good tips? Ideas? Jillian - I just read about your 2 trips. We did a group of 9 of us and although there were moments I wished we could have all been together I knew it was best that we split up sometimes. The first full day we went to CRT for breakfast and the rest of the family wanted to start out the day at EPCOT. At first I didn't like that we weren't going to be w/all of them. It turned out for the best because me,DH, and DD had the time of our lives. It was a perfect morning at the MK. I think the reason things went so well is because we talked enough beforehand. We had lists of what we wanted to do each day and then we each compared our list w/the others. We each compromised a little and we each could pick one ride where everyone went on together. It was a great vacation.
Your other vacation is coming up soon. Lucky duck.![]()
Update on the dog:
. I discovered the noise was the little dog snoring!
Anyway, we did fine and DILs father came and got her the next day as he was in town and on his way back over the mountain so he brought her to them! Okay, another guilt trip - I am at DSs this weekend - the little dog got a haircut - DS says that the big dog (the one that wasn't welcome) brought home fleas from the "sitter" and both dogs had to be treated - house cleaned, etc.
Got to be quite a fiasco!
We've been paying for these companies to age us - AND it is petroleum. I don't know if natural botanical products would work for you or not. Some people prone to breakouts will break out. Sometimes it is just until the toxins are out of their skin, and sometimes it just isn't right for them. Some people panic and won't see if it will clear up. I'll PM you. Hope it gets better quickly!
Your snow day sounds perfect! Sometimes ours is like that. Not this year - we have about two feet solidly on the ground. It has melted off the streets in some places, but it has been so cold at night that it is all crusty and there to stay awhile, I'm afraid. We are expecting more tomorrow!
Hi Maureen!
So annoying. I'm anxious to get something booked; but the prices are not that great right now. I've been over on the transportation boards trying to get some opinions. First, let me say the people over there are fantastic - so-o-o helpful. I actually had posters looking for cheap flights for me and then pm-ing with the info. - I highly recommend going over there if you have ANY travel-related questions. Those folks know what they're doing!
(one good thing that's come out of this obsessive planning!) I'm back and forth - should I or shouldn't I? I'm convincing myself that I should just wait it out a little longer. Afterall, the theme of this trip for me is "Doing things differently" - staying at a different resort; different time of year; eating at different restaurants; and, I guess, booking my flights differently?
