Good afternoon. It is too nice here to stay in all day so DS DH and I will be out.

Kara- Love the beers from around the world. You will have to try ice wine in Canada.

Cammie- The girls are coming home today right?

Pam- Vegas baby YEAH!!!

Happy Hump Day Ladies!!!!

Lots of work to do today. But check this out! One of the DISigners made this for me to give to DH, DBIL an DFIL for the trip.

Love it!!!

Okay ladies...

Let's see if I can show you two pics and have you help me...
The first is the one that we stay at. Nice and quiet. Good things are never more than 5 families in the pool, but mostly 2. Never more than 20 on the beach, generally more like 10. The bedroom opens up to the patio, so you can sneak out while kids are asleep. All units face the ocean.

or the new one that is really bigger. Views aren't as good, but it has more pool activites. I think a kids splash pad, hot tub, waterfall and that Lazy River. It is almost right next door to the Gulfarium and pier though

I pick new one. The pools look cool!

Gotta run!

It's nice here too so I will have to let the kids be out after we do the new school thing at 11:15.

Did I tell you they are redoing our park ( 2 blocks away). It is going to be awesome but won't be done until at least JULY!:scared1:

Laura - just checked the weather - as of now looks like highs in the mid-80's and lows in the mid-60's while we're there!

Hi Kara
- I'm here - kind of - updating the rest of our Epcot day - yep, I loved it. We recognised "our" princesses in the P&PP parade too, they were ALL the same ones from the breakfast. Would have been nice to have another Epcot day, but will have to save it for next time...

Tessa
I guess that is why I missed the trip report - I saw the link in your siggie! I will check it out!

I agree with Kara go with the new one. The pools look great.

What types of activities do you bring on the plane? I'm looking at a 4 hour ride. I have the DVD player packed with movies, 4 colorwonder books, her Disney journal, 2 new sticker books, the CD player and a generic activity book. I am planning on bringing crackers and munchies too. I am going to one of those people at the airport that can't control their luggage. I have often wondered why I don't just pack a steamer trunk :)
Our flight was 2 hours. I took a water paint book (never opened it), a magic color book (did that for 15 minutes) and the DVD player. He watched 1/2 of a movie on the trip down, and slept the whole trip back. I would say that one colorwonder book, the DVD player, one journal and one sticker book would be more than enough. For our flight, I felt like I could have left the DVD player. There is looking out the window, the snack service, etc which takes up more time than you would think - and since it is more "new" than the DVD, it gets priority from them.

How are you holding up so far with DS in school today. The neighbors told me, the first day is tough, then after that, you DIE for the doors to be open!

Hi Jillian, glad you are getting out today! Have fun!

Cammie - I need flops. What were the names of those you like. Teva, Tiva, Tivo... :lmao:

Okay, thanks guys for your help. I am going to book the new one and cross my fingers we can get the ocean front one. If not, at least we are at the beach, and there are some awesome pool activiites there. It really is never THAT crowded down there after labor day anyway. :cloud9: It is always good to try something new... right?

One of us needs to win the lottery so we can have our meet up at EPCOT and stay at the BW!

Maybe.... Two for sure, probably 3 and hopefully the 4th in December to see the decorations....
:rolleyes1 I"m voting with Debbie that you need to start talking more about the bugs, the animals in your yard and the dog wrecking your house. :lmao:

OK.... the bugs are really coming out now - the bug guy told me they'd be out more in the next week or so trying to escape the pesticide. But the dog dug a hole right outside the back door and there are tons of dead ants in there! Gross! And the deer or rabbits or something are eating all my deer resistant flowers! And Bucky is crazy nuts today!!! Even when he's laying down, he has trouble in his eyes!!!

Does that make you feel better? ;)

They're called Teva; I like the "Mush" style. Can go to their website; or, don't know if you have a DSW by you - also sold there!

It's gorgeous here today too - supposed to go up in to the 80s. Girls will be home around 5pm; so I have some last minute food shopping to do. (I'm sure they haven't seen a fruit or vegetable all week - so I have to stock up!;) )

I may order online. Getting to DSW with the kids is a pain. Do they run true to size, or a little big, or a little small? Oh my word - those are addictive with the colors. Are they squishy or just foam?

Yea! Cammie's girls are coming home tonight!!! :cool1: Did they have a good time at least? I'm sure you'll be off tonight. I'm going to post some changes to my itinerary - need everyone's opinions. It's tough planning for a large group like this....

Kara - what about signing DMIL up for a behind the scenes tour or something so you can have some time where she is "out of pocket"?

Cammie - Amazon has a good sale on the flops and free shipping. FYI. The only thing is the sizing is a little off. I'm guessing that the US sizes are the ones with US behind them and the others are UK sizes? :confused3

OK, after the way they have sponged off us for the past two visits, NO WAY!!!! And there's no way that they would pay for it. DH and I used to think that his sister was a witch because she would never offer to pay for anything. Now we know why! They have lived away from MIL/FIL for longer than we have so they know what to expect from them! DH and I were planning on picking up a lot of tips, drinks, etc at dinner in WDW? Nah, not so much anymore.... And they all want to have dinner at our clubhouse the night before we leave? DH and I have already said we are going to make sure that there are separate checks before anyone even orders. Otherwise, FIL will put it all on OUR account!!!! Not taking that chance!

DH and I were talking about this and part of us wants to do it the way we always have - EMH mornings at all the parks that offer it and if they don't want to join us, fine, they can meet up with us later. We have never had a problem with crowds in May when we have done that. Now, however, after reading and doing even more research, we're thinking of going with the recommended parks each day, even if it puts us in there an hour later. It might make everyone happier, although there will be more park hopping because our ADRs are already set (and I'm not changing them!!!!).

Yeah, changing the ADRs - NO! So work around them, but I tell you that getting to the park during regular opening hours was tough. Well - we had 8 am ADRs so I guess it would be the same. That extra hour of sleep would have probably made us both happier. Every time that wake up call came, or I looked at the clock and realized I had to get up :headache: Next time, I'm doing a more relaxed morning thing and park opening maybe once. It is too rough. And I am an early bird too!

Renee - I know what you mean about the mornings, but we just like getting to each park really early. See? This is why we do POP - we are on one of the first buses in the morning, and one of the last ones back at night. So we are never at the resort! I really don't know how we do it, but we do that every single day! Now that was 2 years ago, and DD has since learned how to hold down the bed in the mornings, so it might not be so easy for her, but we've just found that we can get sooo much more done between 8-11am and then totally relax or park hop after that. It actually helps to reduce our stress level, believe it or not!

Good points. We just need to tweak our stuff. We NEVER got to sleep before midnight - and maybe the answer is an afternoon nap. We burned a lot of time on the buses doing it, but if we are in MK and just monorail back, it may work out better.

You only have a few days until you go! And a few fewer until you get to entertain all DH family, minus DH :headache:

Actually, DH told me last night that his Dallas golf trip has been postponed. Now I'm kinda bummed!!! I was looking forward to those 3 nights of getting so much done without him around!!! Call me crazy, but now I have to clean and pack "differently." Without him, I can load up the car and not hear him complain. Now all he'll do is ask twenty times why we're bringing so much stuff! :rotfl2:
