Our vet just called - "Bella" is back waiting to be picked up. Yes, we're getting her ashes back. Don't know how I'm going to explain that one to DD. Plus they sent me a really nice card with a personal note written in there and signed by the whole office.

I did the same thing

OK, here's what Martha made today! DD seemed intrigued by the pressed penny machines when we were there last month, so we got her a penny folder and I made these out of the mini M&M tubes. Of course I found it on the disign thread and then wrapped laminating paper over it....

I followed someone's tip and layered 2 quarters and 1 penny all the way up - these are heavy little suckers now!

That is pretty cool there Martha! Do the pressed pennies fit in them too until you get home? That would be really nice!

I had read somone who took little bottles of syrup from NE I think. There was a lady in the restroom that they gave one to who was the attendant there. She cried and said in 30 years, no one had ever given her anything, so she took off her 30 yr service pin and insisted they take it. :sad1:

:lmao: See, my reading again. I was just about to post, "How's DH going to feel about carrying around Hannah Montana containers" :rotfl2: I read it as DH rather than DD.

No, DH prefers Jasmine!!! :rotfl2:

OK, off to start dinner (as in I defrost the food and DH comes home and cooks it!).

No golf cart today - he said it will be delivered tomorrow!

Hi guys - quick stop by; girls were supposed to be home at 5pm -- but here it is 5:15 and the still haven't even left yet!:headache:

My, my, Kara and Renee - you two have been very chatty today! Sorry I missed out. Kara - I love those M&M coin holders. Did you say they fit pennies and quarters? I'm always digging through my purse looking for change for those pressed coin machines. DD has already filled 2 books - she's determined to get them all. Do you have the link that lists all the locations. I have it saved somewhere; will post it if you need it.

Oooo - DD is texting me - they're leaving now! Yeah!

My girls and me: :dance3:

I know that you are excited! :cool1: Yeah, I've been trying to do anything to avoid cleaning my house today. I'm just not in the mood!

Kara – I saw on the news this AM about a lady in Florida that found an alligator in her kitchen! I am not sure where, but I thought of you! She heard a sound and thought it was her cat, but didn’t sound like her cat! Did your bug man spray for those?!!

Kara & Laura – You all get to see each other while you are in WDW? How cool is that? We all do need to have a meet someday, figure out where we all are, and meet somewhere central. That would be fun!

Renee – Where is your beach condo? I liked the looks of the second one too, late answer I know, but I can’t keep up the pace here! Also, what is CKU-Houston in your trip ticker?

Debbie – How did you survive DS at school? I remember those days very well! All this talk about the fun, cute birthday parties…I miss those, too! Now my girls like to have their parties at hotels, where we can swim and sleepover, and I don’t have a mess to clean up! The pics you posted are beautiful! I thought they were yours.

Cammie – Enjoy your girls coming home! I enjoy when mine go w/their grandparents overnight or for the weekend, but when it’s anything more than that, I am so ancy to get them home! I like the break, but miss them terribly. This summer, they will stay w/my ILs for a week together while we are in LV, then DD10 will stay w/them for a week while DD14 is on a mission trip. They may even keep them another week so they don’t have to stay home so much during the day. They can take them to the pool daily and MIL does tons of fun things with them.

My girls will be home this summer for the first time ever. No day care. Last year, DD14 was a helper, even though I paid full price for her. They’ve been going there since they were toddlers. They did a field trip every day, and my girls loved it. This summer, they will stay up late, sleep late, then I will go eat lunch w/them one day, MIL will go do something w/them one day, I will take ½ day vacation one day, and I am hiring someone to take them somewhere one day. Those somewheres may sometimes just be out to lunch, the pool, library, mall, movie…DD14 goes on mission trip for a week, there’s the weeks at ILs, and we will do a small family trip. I’ve probably already told you all this. I forget what I’ve already told! I think it will work out OK. I am hoping so.

Tammie – You are always vacationing, lady! I’m jealous! I will retire early! I will retire early! My sis keeps trying to get me to take a trip w/her, but I just can’t do it! DH would feel left out and pout, and I would feel guilty – like I should be taking a trip w/my family. I just don’t have the vacation days! I need to retire, I need to retire!

Laura – I hope your DD feels better, sick, allergies, or whatever it really is. I’ve been using Claritin for my girls, and they are saying it’s not working, so dr just recommended Zyrtec. They tried it for the first time today, so I don’t know how it works.

Tessa – I am getting ready to start your trip report. I would love to read your pre-trip report. Can you send me the link? From your posts, it sounds like you all had a wonderful time. Coming back to reality is difficult. Do you have another trip in mind?

Did someone mention something about winning the lottery in a recent past post?? Sounds good to me. I won’t have to wait to retire!

Did I mention that drinks are FREE in Las Vegas? :thumbsup2 Well, as long as you are giving them money in the machines or at the tables…We are trying to decide what shows we want to see while we are there. I am so excited I can’t stand it. It will help me get thru the dreary work days….

Kara - I love the coin holders! You are so talented. You should do that as a part time job. I guess it wouldn't be as fun though. I have all of these good intentions, but don't do as much as I'd like to. I like to crochet, cross stitch, stamp greeting cards and other small things, and have just taken a cupcake decorating class. My projects need to be small or I get bored and never finish them. My girls and I are making little crocheted beanie caps for the preemie babies at the hospital. I need to check out the design site!! I bet the cast members will be thrilled to get your goodies!

Pam, the condo is in Destin, FL. We love it there. It isn't ours. We just rent, but we generally go twice a year! It is lovely. CKU-Houston is my scrapbooking thing. Creating Keepsakes University. Corny I know, but you can go and do an album in three days - which is great. I'm going to do one on me as a child, teenager, college, young adult, and today for the kids. :confused3 Maybe one day they will enjoy it. Who knows. It should be fun making. I really enjoy artsy stuff. Give me some time, and I think I could take Kara on! :thumbsup2

We are staying at the Westin there that hooks on to the Galleria, so I'm excited. It looks really nice. As I was telling Laura, not feeding kids for those days will be a vacation. I haven't gotten away by myself since DS was born, so this will be good. :woohoo:

Las Vegas sound great. We went once. O was wonderful at the Bellagio. Tickets were pricy though, but well worth it. DH really enjoyed it! I enjoyed the Forum Shops between Ceasers and Mirage too! :drinking1 Have a good time. If they still have Samba inside the Mirage - you should try it for dinner. It was awesome. Kinda like the dinner at the Poly with all the fire roasted meats. Brazil theme I think. Very good. They also had a drink that was bigger than many of my cooking pots! Woo-hoo!

:sad2: So my DSF stopped by today just to say hi. He asked why I didn't need any help the day before the party next week. I said I thought I had mom lined up to keep the kids for me to join in the community yard sale. :confused3 He said, nope. He said he asked her about it twice and she has told him both times she intends to go to this gathering. She just figured she'd tell me at the last minute. :furious: Thank goodness he was nice enough to pop by and let me know.

So now I'm thinking I should just scrap the whole sale. After all, I have less than two weeks to get ready for the party for DS and then DSIL & DBIL are in. You know, this is just so frustrating. Just tell me no on the front end. Not this 2 hours before stuff.

Copying Kara on the replies! It saves time! I would love to scrapbook, but don't do well w/big projects. Your books sound great. What a nice keepsake. My MIL is making books for all of her grandkids. Her mom and grandma lost their memories when they got older, and she is afraid it is going to happen to her. I haven't seen them, but know I will just bawl when I do. That's special that you are making those books! You go girl! Give Martha some competition! JK. I am envious of both of yours creativity and artisitic abilities!!

Cool, and good for you! You need to once in awhile, for your sanity! I am a firm believer in that!

We love LV, and have been trying to go almost once a year since before the kiddos were born. It's mine and DH's alone trip. We aren't big time gamblers (I'm too tight w/my money!), but do some, and love everything else there. I'll have to look for your restaurant!

I am sad to hear that your mom isn't cooperative about keeping the kids. My MIL begs us to let the girls stay w/her, and although I know my mom enjoys it, it's more like babysitting to her, and when she keeps them, she sometimes feels the need to have a day to recoup and get her housework and laundry done. Also, my mom works and MIL does not. That's a big difference. I hope that you meet up w/someone that will exchange babysitting w/you.
