Oh my goodness you are still in the 30's? YUCK. I hope your family gets better. We just went thru all of that on vacation DS had and ear infection I had a sinus infection and DH got a stomach bug. I am really hoping this trip goes better.

Okay ladies I need your help. We are planning our next disney trip and I got a really good price on free dining at POFQ and in Nov. it is going to cost a thousand dollars more for us and for my parents it will be 1700 more? I HATE the heat in the summer but $1800 for us 3 and $2700 for my parents and DB and DSIS you can't beat it. Help me decide

Sounds like a no brainer to me. How do you get free dining in November? That's great! If you are going to do a ton of ADRs it is worth it in food alone. Plus MVMCP and the icicle castle!

Oh I see I reread... You are trying to decide between September OR November correct???? I was confused

There are pros and cons to FREE DINING and other trips...here's a link where people are debating if it's worth it or not.....
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1786007

We were initially going to go in OCTOBER but decided to do FREE DINING because we have so many ADRs that we would probably have spent a fortune in food in October. Some say we would have been better off with some sort of room discount instead...I don't know.
Would you have booked with the dining plan in November?
Have you ever been to the WDW Halloween party MNSSHP (because it starts in September now!).

You know how we are all so chatty now?? I love it! The thing is Ii feel like our questions regarding WDW can get lost in our convo's. Do you guys agree? Should I start another thread titled.......
"Control Freaks & Worry Warts plan a trip!" to only post WDW trip planning stuff on and then we can chat away here? I truely want your opinions because I don't care......

We can take over the Disney for FAMILY forum!

Laura I really feel for ya!!!! I would have to be commited at this point if I was you!

I love the fact that we will intermingle those things in our conversations. It makes it feel like we are really talking. :)

Jillian -The summer vs Thanksgiving thing is tough. I agree with Debbie. Think about how much eating you will do. Since you now have experience with Badookie at WDW which would be more fun, the MVMCP and the icicle castle or the halloween party? The crowd thing might be the other thing I would consider. Now saying all that, I have not been to WDW at Thanksgiving or in September. I was there in October on Honeymoon and did the F&W at Epcot.

Debbie I do think I am loosing my mind. I am have gone back to going round and round about the silly dress for the BBB. I am bound a determined to buy one for her one day and the next I am telling myself it is a waste. Now I will say she is sitting on the couch watching Cinderella, with her bucket ;), in a princess dress. I know it will get used. I'm headed to e-baby to see what I can find.

I wish I would just make up my mind. I think it is easier to focus on these types of things than the stuff I have piling up in my house. With the illness, the Laundry gods must hate me. I thought I had it done to turn around and find 4 more piles. AGHHHH

Jillian - If the heat would really bother you, and if you're worried about crowds - I don't know if I would go in Sept. just to get the free dining. I know there's a lot of money to be save but there's a reason Disney offers this incentive during those dates in Aug.-Sept. - those are not typically "popular" times to go because is it sooo hot and I think the hurricane threat is strongest during those two months.

What dates were you looking at in Nov? If it's the week OF Thanksgiving - then it will be EXTREMELY crowded. But if you're looking at any other week in Nov. - the crowds will be low. IMO, I think it's the best time of year to be there: not too hot - pleasant temps.; not too crowded. Like Laura mentioned also - which do you think you'd prefer to do - Halloween activities or Christmas activities?

I don't know - but it seems like the trip you just came back from was really affected by weather and crowds. For your next trip, you might want to pick a time to go when those things might not be such a factor. When you really think about it - what good will the money you save with free dining be if you're not enjoying the trip because of undesirable weather and crowded parks?

No - not ANOTHER thread to subscribe to!

Seriously, I agree with Laura - I like having our own conversations about anything and everything right here.:thumbsup2

ITA! Whenever I buy a dress for DD I justify that she will play in it. I already bought her the Enchanted gorgous bride dress and the deluxe winter Belle dress for Halloween next year! I am a sucker!!! (I did get great deals on them though)

Hello! I am going then!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like heat too but I agree wth Debbie- hurricanes and crowds in heat no so much.

Where did you buy your DD costume at? DD said she wants to be Belle. i had to talk her out of Auroua because that one has long sleeves- probably not good idea in may.

I am hoping we get lucky there in September. I heard it's not crowded and that's why they offer the deal:confused3 so we will see.

I got the dresses with stackable codes around Christmas. I know I got at least 40% off plus free shipping.

How much? You should go for it if it's a good deal. I buy a lot on Ebay. Did you check Disneyshopping though first?
