Oops!

I forgot to say "Welcome Home" to Debbie! I think you called me one night while you were at Disney and didn't leave a message! What's up with that?:confused3 I would have loved to have heard your voice on my voicemail!

Hope you'll be posting pictures soon!

Cammie - the last time i went for my OB/GYN appt she told me she thought my hormones were all out of whack and hadn't reset themselves from the pregnancy. I was suppose to go on them for 6 months in effort to get the period cramping and flow to lessen. So I end up with this S*** for my efforts! So I decided no more. I stopped them today. I don't care what she says - this is worse!

I think you all are right about the mom thing - it is just sad. :sad2: Thanks for the advice and thanks for not making me feel like a bad person! I really appreciate it! :)

Laura - I laughed till I cried. Wow - a mercenary that can tap a keg! :rotfl2:

Kara! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I hope Ally's surgery goes well !

I'm thinking I won't be back on before my trip. Sorry guys, but I'm so behind. I still have to pack and get things done. I'm washing like a mad woman and I need to pack all Mia's old clothes & toys. I am taking two cases and leaving stuff with DSIL rather than mailing so I will have a lot to haul up there, but not so much on the way back.

I'll deal with the mom situation once I come home. I NEED her to watch them between when I leave & Carlos gets home. If I say a word before then it will be a big ordeal and I'm sure she won't do it then. :sad2: A couple days away is really going to do me good to think about it. I sware though, the more we talk about things, the more it goes in one ear and out the other. :headache:

I am acutally doing well today with the cleaning, so that leaves errands and groceries for the am tomorrow. :cool1: I still have a long night though - better get going.

On the positive side, I will be staying in their computer room... So I'm hopeful to have some DIS time

Catch you all later on! Hope you are doing well - and that everyone has a fantastic weekend.

Laura - try to keep your life lessons to a minimum! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao: Sorry, couldn't resist! I sware I expected to read that one from KARA though! Ms. Ally and her "you're out of bla bla, want me to go get you some from the garage!" :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Hey, Nicolas was at the neighbors yesterday and told her "Daddy drinks A LOT of Papi Juices (aka beer). They aren't so healthy, but man does he like them. He drinks 100 a day. I have to get them for him and now he's even taught my baby sister to do it for him. Yeah, he sure likes those Papi Juices!" :headache: :scared1: :rotfl2: :lmao:

Cute pictures, Debbie! I'll say it again - I can't believe how big your kids are getting!!!

Kara - What time do you go in with Ally tomorrow? Good luck with everything. I'm sure it will all be fine! Please keep us posted. Sending good thoughts your way!

The Office season premiere is tonight - :cool1: :thumbsup2  ! (I love when the fall TV season starts!)

Thank Goodness that's over!! We had open house at the girls' school today and it was a mad house. I'm glad I was able to talk to DD9's teacher about that psycho teacher she had last year because - hello she's a helper in her class this year. I told her teacher to keep that woman away from DD9 because we've finally got her back together after what that woman did to her last year...we call her the 'Screamer' because all she did was scream at the kids all day long, take away their recess and then scream at them when they were wild?:confused3 I don't know why???

:cutie: Of course DD6 is a talker - Ms. Social Butterfly that one is. It's just crazy to see all the parents who 'clique' together like the kids. The wealthy to the middle class, why is it still so split. My poor DD9 gets put down by rich girls when she wears some of the clothes I make her. Thankfully she stands proud because she knows it's just because they are envious of the special outfit she has on.

I so wish I could home school.:headache:

Real quick and then I'll touch base in the morning...

Yea! I got my car back tonight - I love my car!

Ally's surgery is scheduled for 2pm tomorrow but we have to be at the hospital at noon. The bad part is that she can't eat after midnight so that ought to be fun all morning tomorrow!

Later!

Hi all,

Kara - good luck to Ally... hope all goes well.

Debbie - welcome back!! The photos look great - I can't believe you lot are all able to get together - another 2 years AT LEAST!! before we can get back over there.... not fair.....

mmmmm Renee family is soo difficult - I would do like someone else said and accompany a couple of visits just to see things are "done right" and you can chat about things making it clear that "mum rules come before gran rules"

Vent coming up........ I'm having interesting family trouble right now too.... My MIL who is lovely has started being a pain - only thing I can figure is since her other son broke up with his wife, she needs someone else to "pick on".
So - they are travelling to see family on Monday - they leave their car at our house and we get them to the bus station - but they decided this time to go at 8.20 AM!!! on a school day!!!!! WTH..... soooooooo inconsiderate, I just could not believe it when hubby said ok - HE is going to have to arrange a taxi, since he is away on a training course!!!! Needless to say I'm unhappy - so we will have to see if I can bite my tongue on Sunday when we all meet up for lunch.. vent over.

Its started getting colder here - our central heating started up this week, but I do love the autumnal cold when combined with sunshine - we have blue skies today yipeeee!

Tessa

real quick - :goodvibes Wishing Ally a fast, safe suregery today and a very speedy recovery!!!!! :goodvibes

:flower3:

off to pack! Catch you all later this weekend hopefully - with lots of OMGing about the baby! :)

:wizard:Good morning Girls!
Still working on coming back to "the real world".....
I haven't been able to read back pages yet but hope to soon.
Listen...I am missing a new WDW shirt I bought there. Do you think if I left it in the room I will ever see it again???
I am bummed!

Thinking of Ally today..........:wizard:

Hey guys! It's been a crazy day! Had alot of running around to do and we're having a Nor'easter! Driving hard rain and gusty winds - supposed to continue through the night and in to tomorrow. Great! We're supposed to go to the Yankee/Red Sox game tomorrow afternoon - I AM NOT taking Amanda out in this lousy weather! There goes $200 down the drain!

Don't know if anyone else heard from Kara but she said Ally is out of surgery and did really well! Hope the speedy recovery continues, Kara!:thumbsup2

Lauren's dance is tonite. I just dropped her off at a friend's house. All the girls are going to get ready together. Us moms are going back over around 6pm to see them off and then hang out until the dance is over at 9. Lauren is very excited and I can't wait to see how she's going to look.:cutie:

Renee - Hope you have a good weekend!
Debbie - I would call the hotel and see if they have your shirt. One year, I left behind a whole bag of Gymboree hair accessories - it was a big gallon-size ziploc bag that I had left in a drawer in the bathroom. I called the BW and housekeeping had turned it in to lost & found; they mailed it right back to me. So you never know - would be worth a call!

Have a good night everyone!

Ally did great and I was very impressed with the way this hospital handled it! I liked it so much better than the surgery center we went to back in SC 3 years ago when she had her tonsils and adenoids out, and ear tubes in.

I saw her eyes start to well up and her lip started quivering right after she changed into her gown and the nurse was getting all our info. After that, she was okay. The doctor called us from the OR about 10 minutes into the surgery to get our permission to cut her ear drum because when she removed the tube she found that the ear drum had closed up, and she needed to check for fluid behind it. So sad that she couldn't just do it, but needed to call us in the waiting room to get our okay. Too many lawyers apparently.

But the doctor was great, the nurses were all great, so I was very pleased.

We got to the hospital at noon for her 2pm surgery. They took her away from us at 1:55, the doctor met us afterwards at 2:25 and we were with Ally a few minutes later. So it was about a 20 minute surgery - no bid deal. And she handled the anesthesia MUCH better than the last time. Aside from throwing up on me when she started drinking her juice.....

But the poor thing hadn't eaten since 9 last night - so actually none of us ate cause we couldn't very well eat in front of her.

Then we went to Golden Corral afterwards. Oh my, what an interesting experience that was. First, the nurse told us to gradually increase her food today, start with liquids etc. But Ally was hungry, and after she threw up, she drank all her juice and she was fine.

So we found a Golden Corral, which is a big buffet that obviously caters to those who like buffets. Normally I don't like them, but this one was always good in Spartanburg, and since I hadn't eaten all day, I figured I could do some damage today.

OMG! WE got there right at 4pm, and that's when the dinner menu started. There was a $3 difference between lunch and dinner and they had a security guard seating people there! I guess all the blue hairs had some rumbles with the cashiers trying to get the lunch prices or something. The place was packed!!!

It was Walmart all over again. No, it was Dollar General. No, I don't know what it was. I walked up to the ice cream machine with Ally, and the woman a couple people in front of us literally had this huge bowl overflowing with soft serve ice cream. Seriously, it had to be between 1/2 gallon and a gallon. I just happened to glance over at Jeff and he was falling out laughing. I couldn't help myself. This woman was so proud of herself!!! The guy sitting next to Jeff said that the woman comes in about 3 times a week and does that every time. Needless to say, the guy talking to Jeff was a regular, too. And needless to say, while a very entertaining dining "experience" we won't be going back any time soon.

Also, it was not in the best neighborhood, if you get my drift. We saw one guy that held the door for us and Ally pipes up with "Mommy, is he wearing pajamas?" probably within earshot. It was nuts!!!

Oh, and the food sucked, and the service - usually these buffet have "servers" who bring clean plates and silverware to your table, bring drinks, etc. Here, all they did was refill the drinks you had to get yourself at the beginning. Weird.

I haven't read everything from today and last night but I just wanted to thank you all for the prayers for Ally, and I'll check back in tomorrow!!!

Hi Girls,
Kara I am so glad Ally is thru with that and doing well! Thanks for the updates!!!!!!!!
I STILL need to get a texting package but sometimes I can't help myself (like on the trip) and I do it. Afraid to see that bill.

Cammie...I am so sorry about the weather and your ballgame being ruined. That does REALLY suck!

Just to start sharing a little....This pic was of my awesome view from my Conch Key room(after having to wait a night to be switched). My first night was at Big Pine Key and it was not an MK view IMO so we had to move. I am curious to see if you guys think I was being a baby or not. I will post pix of the first view and you guys can tell me what you think. We were booked with GF MK view.

These first pix are of the GREAT, perfect, incredible view. The room we got moved to after we complained.
NEW ROOM VIEW.....

Now I am not saying this wasn't a gorgeous view but you have to remember I paid for a MK view. Was I wrong to be upset?

This was one of the bumps in the road. Thank goodness the trip was still great aside from some decline in customer service IMHO.

I'm so glad everything went well with surgery. Your buffet story is too funny. We went to Old Country 6 months ago and I thought a lot of the people looked like homeless people, so I totally get Ally's remark. We were there pretty late though. Then my sister asked us to go w/her family last month and I told her that the last time we went to the one closer to us that the people there looked scuzzy. She was so upset because she goes there all the time and thought I was saying she is one of the scuzzy looking people. I felt so bad. She is not close to scuzzy. Anyway, we went and what a difference it was going at a peak time and a different location. The food was better and the people were all well groomed and not in there pajamas. When I explained this to my sister she felt a lot better.

Debbie, Welcome back. I wanted to call you while you were there to ask you to bring home another monorail magnet but we don't get together enough so I thought you would think I was crazy.

The second room view is waaaaay better. But the first room is beautiful for a slight view of the MK. I did see Space Mountain in the one pic. I think they should charge different prices like oceanFRONTand oceanVIEW. There is a difference.

GREAT seeing you here again! I missed ya!
That's how I feel!

RE: the magnet..if it's the one that talks they don't have it anymore!!!!!! I wanted another one as well and they had ZERO. I am so sad!

So...if anyone going later sees it I beg ya to pick one up for me. It's the one where you push the button and it says 'Por Fuevore...."
Why would they discontinue that!
