Looking For Control Freaks & Worry Warts too (Part 2)

I missed everyone on here. The summer flew by so... fast. We didn't get to Rainbow falls and I really was looking forward to it. One week the temps were nice and high and the next it was too cold to swim. I swear it was always cold when I had the time to go.

That's too bad about the magnet. I even thought of calling the stores at Disney because I heard you could get it sent to you from some of there stores. Oh well. Someone on here is always going to Disney before you know it. They can tell us if they see it again.

We just got texting on our phones.To get the good price on the phone you had to get one of the packages. So I am trying it for 2 months and if I don't use it enough I'll cancel. So far I am not so good at typing fast but it is kinda cool.

But you're totally right! You paid for an MK view and I would NOT have been happy with the first one either. Good for you for making them switch you! The views from the second room are gorgeous!

Well, Lauren's dance was a success! She had such a good time; and I had fun hanging out with some of the moms. I'm really liking this group of girls she's hanging with now. I getting to know the moms better and we all seem to be on the same page about alot of things: boys; make-up; homework. I think it's a really, really nice group of people! And, I had everyone jealous of me last night: I was the only mom who got a phone call from their daughter after the dance with a mini-report. The other moms couldn't believe Lauren called me to give me a little scoop.

It's another rainy, miserable day and we are not going to the baseball game. But the good news is that one of Amanda's nurses is taking two tickets - so I get back $100 for that pair. And another nurse may buy the other pair - those are the two tix that are in the "wheelchair" space but I'm thinking the place is going to be half empty today because of the weather. She could take the tix to get into the place and then just sit wherever she wants. I'm sure the ushers will not be caring today. I may not be out the $200 afterall!

Cammie - Good news all around. My DD who is not even 4 yet, seems to like the bossy kids who can sometimes get mean. It's hard for me to watch her get yelled at and pushed around. At least she is in pre-school now and there is a little girl she plays with that is a lot nicer.

Lisa - Don't worry; there's still hope. Lauren's very first best friend in pre-school was a beast! She would get very angry at Lauren if she played with anyone else; so even if this girl wasn't playing with Lauren, she still didn't want Lauren to play with anyone else -- and Lauren wouldn't! The kid would also punch Lauren occassionally. By the time kindergarten rolled around, they were in different classes and Lauren became much more out-going and confident. She's not friends with the beast anymore.

Cammie - That is so good to hear. Since my DD is a little shy, it is easier to be the follower. But anyone who knows her well knows that she has more of a leader personality. In Megan's first days at pre-school I could tell she felt sad for the little girl who was crying so I told her maybe she could talk to her to make her feel better. She has ever since and now the girl doesn't cry in class and they play great together. Megan is the leader and so far she is not a bully.

kara glad to hear that Ally made it thru. I have been to a Golden Corral in FL. They are right to have a security guard. I have never seen plates over flowing that much in my life. It is a different "culture". KWIM?

Debbie- you haven't said if you brother got engaged or even if he got a room at GF? I totally would have complained. You paid extra for the view so I would expect a view. The view was amazing. I so want to stay there next time.

I'm happy Lauren's dance was a success.

My sister is going to run my ragged. She is tackling all the little projects I have left lying around so I feel I have to keep up with her. It is crazy here. I am actually looking forward to going to work tomorrow so I can rest. Hahaha

HE DID get engaged right in front of the castle! Now I am hoping for a Disney destination wedding!!!! (In my dreams).


We were gone today taking family pix by my Aunt. I would LOVE to just spend a day on the computer catching up. My house is a disaster sight and I just want to veg.
Tomorrow I will hopefully get something accomplished!

Awww - thanks Lisa! We did have alot of fun! I'm repeating the mother/daughter trip in Feb. - hope to make it an annual trip. Check out my pre-trippie if you're still looking for some reading material; although, I must admit, I've been neglecting it this week.

When do you think you'll be heading back to see the Mouse? I hope you can get there soon!

So -- where is everybody else today? We're still having pretty miserable weather here. Not much to do but laundry and watch the Hannah Montana marathon on the Disney Channel. I'm sorry - but some of those episodes crack me up! Yeah, my mind is mush!

Cammie - We will be going back to Disney in 2010 or 2011, whenever we have the money. This spring my DH wants to go to Jamaica so the next vacation is my choice, and you know it's always WDW. I hope I didn't annoy you with . I am so lucky in so many ways and I know that. I'm just a Disney Freak. I still have a lot left to read of your TR and I would love to read your next PTR.

Debbie - About an hour after I clean, a tornado strikes my house once again. It's neverending. And I only have one child. Are you doing a trip report?

Laura - When are you planning on going to WDW? As I am reading Cammie's TR I am getting ideas for my next trip.

Y'all won't believe where I was yesterday...... Orlando!

We went down to visit Jeff's cousin - he called us on SAturday to say that his parents were in town from Charlotte, and invited us down for dinner. It totally SUCKED to be in Orlando and NOT be at Disney!

Then Jeff told me that he almost surprised us Saturday morning and got us all up early to go down to Disney for the day. Actually glad we didn't do that though cause we worked in the yard all morning and it looks soooo good! The weather was beautiful, and we got all our bushes trimmed, weeded, cut the grass and edged, and it just looks so nice right now!

I think we're going to Disney for a weekend in December with our neighbors - they have 3 kids - 5, 11, 14 - and we're gonna get 2 of the 2 bedroom condos at Bonnet Creek resort - found out why they're so inexpensive. It's a time share and I guess they just hound you really bad with high pressure sales. Oh, well.

Then my parents just decided they're coming down for Ally's birthday in March, so we're gonna plan abut 3 days at Disney then. Again, probably Bonnet Creek - that would just work out so well for us, at a good price! My dad finally agreed to put his dog in a kennel for a couple of days. I swear, he drives me nuts with that stupid dog.

OK, tons of work to catch up on - I spent about 2 hours yesterday working, but I'm still behind!!!

Oh now, don't be silly, no one on this thread could ever be annoying. I would totally feel the same way as you if I couldn't get back to WDW. I think we're all that way - it's our addiction! I know I'm very lucky to be able to go every year, and now maybe twice a year; I'm already DREADING when Lauren gets in high school because I don't know if I'll still be able to pull her out of school to go. Those are going to be some sad years around this household.

Well good morning everyone! Hope you all had a good weekend. I'm off this morning to have my root canal finished - FUN!!! Well, at least, I know what to expect; hopefully it won't be as bad as last week. Will check back in later.
