Looking For Control Freaks & Worry Warts too (Part 2)

Hi guys! I'm exhusted. My sister is crazy. Did mention that she doesn't have kids? I swear she thinks I am a lazy bum. yesterday she tore thru my linen closet throwing out all the old towels and sheets--yes it was on my to do list someday. I truly appreciate her being her and my house will look fantastic but I think I am going to die if I have to keep up with her.

Now for the trip to WDW. I'm not sure when we will get back. We have a high dectuable ins. This stupid back thing is definately going to set us back a bit. We have a HSA and we maxed out our deposits this year. So I know we will still have some expenses but we are waiting to see if this will be a work comp claim as Tim thinks he actually ruptured it on the job. We knew it was bulging but he heard a distinct snap and pain while he was at work and then the real pain came a few days later. who knows. I 'm not getting my hopes up over anything.

Debbie - I think you are a great storyteller, but at least put up your pics. I have to say a trip report w/no pics would bore me a little. Don't get me wrong, I love to read, but the pictures make everything more real.

Kara - If my hubby told me we were staying in Kissimmee for a special extra trip, I'd go in a second. But for my pic of vacation every 2-4 years I have to stay at a Disney resort. I know how you feel about getting the yard work done. We could have gone on a smaller vacation this year but chose to fix up the bathroom. The tub was puke yellow-green and the tiles were not that great. Sometimes you just have to do stuff around the house, but it is so nice afterwards.

Cammie - I'm glad it didn't bother you. I don't want sympathy, I just want to go to Disney. But I have 2 years to plan, right. Hope all goes well the the root canal.

Laura - I always think I want help cleaning and getting rid of old stuff, but then again if someone was helping it would probably be stressful, too.

How is Tim doing? I hope it all works out with the insurance. We have good insurance but when I had my DD I paid out $3100 all together because I had tests for my heart, they didn't pay for the blood tests because they said a computer did the work, and I had a cesarean. They pay 80%, but if a doctor or nurse is not in the network, they pay out less. I didn't have the energy and DH didn't have the time to complain about everything. Get this, even though it is required to have another surgeon in the room for cesarean, the ins. almost didn't pay for that at all because they don't think an extra surgeon is necessary. My doctor laughed at that and told me it IS necessary and required. I guess my advice to you is complain as much as you can. Sometimes it does help.

Good morning girls!

Kara, glad you had a good weekend. You are so lucky to get all those WDW visits!
Cammie..I feel for ya girl! I despise anything dental related.
Lisa...I get seriously depressed when I don't have a WDW trip planned! I hear ya!!!!
Laura...hopefully it all works out! What's meant to be is meant to be, right.

I hope Jillian is OK and still stops by here. I did get her email and feel so bad she is going through a tough time.

Wonder when Tammie returns?
Do you guys think Keahi already had her trip?

Have you guys ever checked out Rumbly Tumbly's Photobucket account? GREAT STUFF!!!!

I forgot to thank all of you again for ordering the Tupperware!!!!! I get to pick out some goodies for myself now. I can always count on you guys!THANK YOU!!

I hear ya with the I want to go back to WDW!!!:yay:

I try to talk DH into going almost once a week, but he won't budge. He's smart, I know, but I really want to go. MIL just came back and that's got us in a funk to go.

Started on the cushions - well I actually cut the foam out on Saturday, so now I have to cut out the muslin and sew that. DD9 has happily agreed not to be Narissa so I can focus on the cushions.

We move the girls playroom down cellars - what a job that was. DD6 was very happy to get into her own room, surprisingly DD9 cried. I'm just glad I don't have to look at that room of toys anymore. Junk, Junk, Junk!!

Hi girls just checking in. Things are better we have talked and talked and talked and we are going to try and work thru it, it is just too easy to give up!

We did take Badookie into Boston today for the Celebrate tour and well they were only giving out Balloons. I thought with disney they would have something better going on. NOPE!!!! Just Balloons. Oh Well.

So long story short don't bother.

Jillian - glad to hear things are working out better!!!!!! Kirsten said you called her the other day - does this mean you're still considering a big move?

Cammie - hope you're feeling better, my toothless friend! :rotfl2:

Renee - you back yet?

Debbie - how are you feeling?

Gotta run, touch base later!

Ahhh, just finished my TR for this anniversary trip. Now I've got to start thinking about my trip with Ally. I need to make us some shirts, but I want to wait until we get a little closer so I know whether we will need short sleeve or long sleeve in November.

Yesterday was so crazy busy at work!!! A lot of it was catch up work since I was off on Friday, but we're just slammed right now! Jeff figures it's because so many people that wanted to sell their homes are realizing that this just isn't the time, so they're doing some remodeling instead. Maybe adding that fireplace they always wanted, or doing what we did with the outdoor patio/kitchen/firepit, etc. And since we sell grills, fireplaces, gas logs, firepits, etc, we're reaping the benefits right now.

This whole economy thing is so scary! Jeff is seeing it firsthand in the auto industry. The largest Chevy dealership in the world just went belly up last week. In fact, we drove by one of the stores in Orlando and that really hits home with us to see a superstore like that and know that 250 people lost their job, at just the one store. And they owned 10 stores around the country.

And I sit and watch Fox News all day, so I"m constantly bombarded by all this gloom and doom. It's bad right now and it's gonna get a lot worse before it gets better.

We're actually trying to tighten our belts too. Just little things like cutting back on eating out, no unnecessary spending, no more big decorating for awhile. We just need to save more "just in case." And I'm so not a saver!!!!

Good morning! Anyone else's kids off from school today for the jewish holiday? Lauren is off and I slept over a friend's last night - have to pick her up in 30 minutes. Amanda had school though - Boston College doesn't take off for jewish holidays!;)

Kara - I'll definitely check out your final installment (for now). I'm so behind in preparing for this Nov. trip. I had dreams of making shirts for everyone to wear to the xmas party; but sister made a comment that she won't wear one. Why should I go through all the trouble if she doesn't wind up wearing one? It will only look cute if we ALL have on matching shirts. Anwyay, I still have the designs that Tammie helped me with to make shirts for Amand and Lauren. I'm going with short-sleeve; think it will still be warm enough for that. Heck, we're usually there at the end of Nov. and it's still warm!

The economy news is completely depressing me! Especially since I feel like everytime I turn around, something needs to be purchased!:headache: I have not bought any new clothes for myself since May - which is fine; but the girls need soooo much still! They grow like weeds! And I keep putting off buying new kitchen appliances year after year but I'm going to have to break down and do it before one of them, well, breaks down! All of my appliances are 15 years old; hate my stove and dishwasher and sooooo want a new and updated model. Well, if I continue shopping, that puts money into the economy which helps, right?

Jillian - glad to hear things are working out better!!!!!! Kirsten said you called her the other day - does this mean you're still considering a big move?

I emailed her. We are looking into things. I think our top choice is New Hampshire now,but Florida is a very close second.

Cammie - hope you're feeling better, my toothless friend! :rotfl2:

Renee - you back yet?

Debbie - how are you feeling?

Gotta run, touch base later!

I hope everything is going well for everyone. Looks like another gloomy day here. We have been so busy I am taking today to relax maybe head to the mall and grab body wash.

As for the economy I just can't watch it anymore it is just too scary I told mike we should start putting money in the mattress:lmao:, but no really it is making me upset.

Cammie - don't know about your area up there but I've had great luck with appliance shopping at Home Depot. Oh, and I accidentally found out that Best Buy will "negotiate" on price. And both have the 12 months or up to 3 year financing. Love that. Until it comes due!

Jillian - you've been going through a lot lately! Get that body wash, and pick up some bubble bath too. Soak in a nice bath later on and just relax!!!

I'm bidding on Disney pins on ebay!!! What geeks have we become????

Also, started a Dining Review for our trip. But y'all have already seen my TR and it's basically the same.

Hi Girls!
I am trying not to freak out about the economy. It would be a horrible time for Mark to be out of work or something worse. I have money in the stock market (not to much but it has grown) I NEVER touch that I don't even want to look at! That's what I plan on paying for college with!

Also, I am trying to get us back into a better place as it is! I can not have anything make the situation worse!

I am hoping that the media is magnifying things and that we will be OK. I like to live in a bubble!

Sears outlet is a great place to find appliances katherine is typing with m e. sorry

:scared1: Plus when they start talking like this my Mom starts talking about how we won't be going back to WDW for awhile.............:scared1:

Hi girls have read back a bit but not much you girls talk lots heehee ;)

Ok i know this whole Celebrate thing Disney has going on is great .. however imagine how gutted my girl is as we are going to WDW for her 11th B'day but it's in Feb 2010 :sad1: so am hoping cast members won't be over the b'day thing by the time we get there hahahaha

My courses start next week and am a little nervous i haven't done anything like that for years  hopefully they'll all go well

For those of you on facebook now did you know there is a DIS group you can join??

For all of you worried about the economy etc etc i am so with you .. banks are going bust left and right here, the government is bailing them out so where does that leave us ... TURNING OFF THE NEWS ... We have enough day to day to worry about don't we!!!

Big hello to all of you :flower3:

I'm back - very exhausted, but back. Man, nothing like taking care round the clock of a 6 week old to make you so glad your kids are bigger!:thumbsup2 :rotfl2: :lmao:

It was fun, and I'm glad I did it.... but man!!!!

I'm trying to clean out my email box, and then there is bills to pay, things to do, etc. I'll catch up soon! I always seem to be saying that. Just don't want you to think I'm not around for any other reason than drowning in running a house. Nicolas playing soccer has really thrown me for a loop!

  So, don't beat me up for this - but question. Since Easter is Mid April - do you think early March or early May would be a better time to go?

Carlos was asking - that our early OCT. I told him OCT was out because that was our trip to WDW :snooty:. And what face did I get???? :sad2: :lmao:

Sorry - In case I am going to confuse someone, I meant to say there is no way we could do an Oct family trip and me do a Fall CFWW trip in Sept and him not be POed, so I'm just not going there. I'd rather keep our Family trip on the first half of the year. Realize that seems silly, but he will deal with it MUCH better that way. He thinks I'm a loon anyway.

My vote is still for early May - I just love it then. When we went just for a weekend last year, the very first weekend in March - it was busy. But I can't remember when Easter was last year? :confused3

He was asking me why not early March (Mia would still be free on the plane) and I couldn't remember. I was browsing around in TGM :rolleyes1 and looked at the temps - then I remembered why. I think WE :lmao: decided that the weather in May would work better for our Family's early morning schedule.

SEE - I knew I had a reason, I just couldn't remember it at the time. :lmao:
